It's Week 4 of the Fantasy Football season and Jake and Funston discuss their rankings on this episode of The Athletic Fantasy Football Podcast.
How much are the Raiders creeping up in the weekly rankings? Is it time to target Kyle Pitts in trades? How far does Allen Robinson fall in Chicago’s woeful offense. Where does Chuba Hubbard land in the rankings this week? Did Week 3 provide a clear opportunity to deal Clyde Edwards-Helaire?
Which RB3s and WR3s should be in your lineup, and which should be on the bench? The guys answer all those questions, plus go head-to-head on a few players where they differ, make cases for backs outside the top 24 and top 30, and more.

It's been a very comfortable first three weeks in most Survivor pools, but will a big favorite fall unexpectedly in Week 4? Brandon Funston joins DVR to discuss the Bills, Titans and Bengals as popular selections this week, their preferred options, concerns about the Saints against the 0-3 Giants, and a case to take advantage of a banged-up Steelers team on the road in Green Bay.

Nando and Chris discuss the surprising Week 3 performance of Peyton Barber, Nando’s unsurprising interest in the Lions’ offense and the long-term viability of D’Andre Swift and Jamaal Williams, the quick early-season turnaround of Zack Moss in the Buffalo backfield, Robby Anderson’s quiet September, Clyde Edwards-Helaire’s turnaround against the Chargers, the weird shape of Najee Harris’ production and the overall woes of the Pittsburgh offense. Plus, disappointment in Atlanta, Collin Johnson’s contributions in the Giants’ passing game, and frustration with A.J. Brown.

DVR is joined by The Athletic’s Rams beat writer Jourdan Rodrigue to discuss Matthew Stafford’s excellent start through the first three games, Cooper Kupp’s bid to be considered an elite fantasy wide receiver, the slow start of Robert Woods, and expectations for the backfield in the wake of Sony Michel’s 20-carry game against Tampa Bay.
Then, The Athletic’s Bucs writer Greg Auman joins DVR to discuss Tom Brady’s pace to break his own previous-high in passing TDs, the struggles of the Tampa Bay ground game, a potential deep-league stash at wide receiver in the Bucs’ offense, and reasons to be optimistic about the team’s defense in the coming weeks.
Finally, DVR is joined by RotoWire’s John McKechnie to break down the waiver-wire cases for Chuba Hubbard, Peyton Barber, Curtis Samuel, Tim Patrick, James Washington, and several others before FAB and claims are processed for Week 4.

Jake and Brandon discuss the disappointing showing of Justin Fields in his first NFL start, Odell Beckham’s form in his first game back from a torn ACL, Saquon Barkley’s return to top-end RB status, and the Falcons’ offensive woes.
Plus, they take look at pickups to consider on the waiver wire, including Chuba Hubbard, Collin Johnson and Zack Moss (among others), and discuss their level of concern about T.J. Hockenson and Ty’Son Williams, and the difficulty of starting WR1s in a true game-time decision situation.
Has Mike Williams overtaken Keenan Allen as the Chargers’ No. 1 receiver? Is it time to panic about Jonathan Taylor’s TD drought? Can the Steelers’ offense bounce back with the current version of Ben Roethlisberger? Are we back to ‘Start Joe Burrow!’?

Beller and DVR take a look at the Week 3 DFS main slate, focusing on one question in particular: Do you want to pay up for Derrick Henry, or do you want to focus on passing games from, say, Seattle, Minnesota, Tampa Bay and Los Angeles, all of which are playing in what are expected to be high-scoring games? Your answer to that question could very well determine how you build your DFS rosters this week.
