DJI Phantom Camera Settings Dec 24, 2015

Show notes

I recently did a video on the DJI Phantom 3 Professional quadcopter that I've been using. I've had several people since ask me about the camera settings that I am using on the Phantom 3. Aerial photography and video work is similar to landscape in that you have a very wide dynamic range that you have to deal with. Its difficult to capture in digital format. The Phantom 3 features a Sony Exmor sensor… having said that it is a decent camera, but not incredible. There are some settings that you can use in the DJI Go app that will help with your footage considerably. I will explain these in this video. La Strada :: Italian Street Photography From The 1960s Dec 22, 2015

Show notes

La Strada is an outstanding catalogue of Italian street photographs from the 1960's. Works from the private collection of Keith de Lellis exhibit the new renaissance of post-WWII Italy. These works show the influence of the established street photography from photojournalists such as Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Capa, W Eugene Smith and Robert Frank. These influences are projected on to an Italian landscape here and represent photography that is quite unique and beautiful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQc5DTICvTM Probably my favorite camera ever made is the Holga. Its a cheap plastic camera that you can get for almost no money. It has no features and very little control. But if you learn how to use a Holga it opens up a lot of creative possibilities on a camera that you can't get any other way. Black and White Injket Printing Nov 27, 2015

Show notes

One of the impressive things about the Epson P600 is its handling of black and white images. There are 4 different black links inside the printer. Three of these inks work in combination to print over a wider dynamic range than just using one ink. There are two different blacks that are selectable depending on the paper you are using (1 for photo-gloss and 1 for matte finish). Note that switching between the blacks will use up a little bit of ink, but Epson has minimized this considerably.
