    Show notes

We like to think our show is full of miracles. And if you agree, here's our review of Encanto, the latest family film from Walt Disney Animation, which is set in Colombia and features music by Lin-Manuel Miranda (again?!) We open the show with a new segment called "Oscars Buzzmeter," where we go over some of the buzziest films vying for Oscars this month. Some of them are movies we've seen, while others are just around the corner. Then we finish the show out with a review of 8-Bit Christmas, which you can now stream on HBO Max.

House of Gucci Nov 25, 2021
    Show notes

Can’t say this is our most luxurious episode of Cinemaholics, but at least you can afford it. As a special bonus episode coming out in time for Thanksgiving, here’s our review of a movie about a different kind of family. That’s right, we discuss Ridley Scott’s House of Gucci, which stars Lady Gaga and Adam Driver as a married couple within the prestigious Gucci dynasty, as they have to contend with other powerful members of the family to lay claim to fortune. The cast also includes Al Pacino, Jeremy Irons, and Jared Leto.

    Belfast Nov 15, 2021
    Show notes

Kenneth Branagh made another movie about a precocious kid in Europe whose dad disappears throughout the film, but don’t worry, this one’s better than Artemis Fowl. After winning award after award at Telluride and TIFF, Belfast is now poised to win Best Picture at the Oscars. But we might not be so enthusiastic about this coming of age comedy-drama set in Belfast, Ireland circa 1969.

Intro Music: “Fred On the Two (feat. Fredfades)” by Kristoffer Eikrem.
