Show notes

The fans loved this action and emotion packed episode, and twenty four of them showed up this week to share their reactions, perceptions, and predictions. Everyone acknowledged the significance of "the moment", but were also asking how that will impact the game going forward. There are at least four castaways that might be targeted next, but it's not clear how it will play out. Bring on the Mergatory!

We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great Listener Feedback show. This week we heard from: Pete, Robert, Rebecca, Tara, Sandi, Sammy, Pat, Becca, Tuppence, Brandyn, Anderson, Jack, David, Parker, Shahin, Matt-n-Summer, Crystal, Justin, Jade-n-Christine, Josh, Jill, Jeremiah, Jen and Paul.

Season 48 Week 5 Recap Mar 27, 2025

Show notes

That felt like another jam packed episode. The Reward challenge was fun with some new elements but maybe a bit anticlimactic at the end. We got some good Tribe Time framed by the rewards and lack thereof. Then we got an emotional Immunity challenge, topped off by a bit of a curve at Tribal Council. How did that moment at the Immunity challenge register with you? What alliances do you see forming at the merge? Do you see a path for a meatshield alliance?

How did your assessment of the castaways change this week? Who do you think is playing the best, and who is still in jeopardy of being voted out before the merge? Who impressed you the most?

Here is where it stands after week 5. New Civa(Orange): Cedrek, Chrissy, Mitch, Sai New Lagi(Purple): Charity, David, Eva, Mary, Star New Vula(Green): Joe, Kamilla, Kyle, Shauhin

Survivor 48 Week 4 LF Mar 22, 2025

The fans were very happy with this episode. The shuffle appears to have saved the pre-merge portion of the game, and all the surprises and expert level gameplay helped balance out the loss of a clear fan favorite. It's got us stoked for the next episode!

Season 48 Week 4 Recap Mar 20, 2025

Show notes

Tribe shuffles inject randomness and really test a castaways ability to adapt and roll with the punches. It's unfortunate that production chose to stay with tiny tribes, but on the bright side, we certainly got a surprise out of it. That was a great demonstration of strategic gameplay! Combine that with a tribe that we didn't expect to lose, and we got one heck of an episode! What do you think of the new tribes?

Season 48 Week 3 LF Mar 15, 2025

Show notes

The fans were not impressed by the forced game of chance on the Journey combined with the possibility for the castaways to lose their vote. Losing your vote on these tiny tribes does not make for "great TV moments". Our focus now shifts to the impending tribal shuffle. We are excited to see how it affects the castaways and who will be able to adapt and rise to the occasion.

Season 48 Week 3 Recap Mar 13, 2025

We were excited to see another "historic Tribal Council moment", but also a little disappointed with the result. What do you think about using games of chance when their vote is at risk? Was it mandatory to play?

Season 48 Week 2 LF Mar 08, 2025

Show notes

The fans have spoken. The second episode was a distinct improvement over the premiere. The moment before the Immunity challenge really resonated, and we got another active example of the power of representation from a fan in the feedback this week. While it appears that we have another tribal imbalance similar to seasons 45 and 46, we are all anxious for the next episode on Wednesday!

Season 48 Week 2 Recap Mar 06, 2025

Now that was much better! We enjoyed the 90 minute episode this week significantly more than the premiere. The Tribe Time was excellent with valuable insights into how the social elements of the game are progressing. We got an exciting challenge that highlighted some surprise super stars, and some excellent strategic gameplay to boot. Now, what's your humble trait?
