Season 49 Week 1 Recap Sep 25, 2025

Show notes

For a season that initially felt passed over as CBS rushed to promote Season 50 instead, 49 started off really well. The marooning challenge was a typical blowout, but the supplies challenge turned into an exciting come from behind win. We enjoyed the tribe time as we got to see who meshed and who didn't. The Immunity Challenge was solid with a small twist at the end. We remain hopeful and look forward to what the season brings next. What did you think of the tribe balance, the first challenges, and the results from the first Tribal Council? Did you like the supplies challenge?

How did your assessment of the castaways change once you saw them in action? Who do you think is playing the best, and who is still in jeopardy of being voted out before the merge? Who impressed you the most?

Here is where it stands after week 1. Hina(Yellow): Jason, Kristina, Matt, MC, Sophie S, Steven Kele(Blue): Alex, Annie, Jake, Jeremiah, Sophie B Uli(Red): Jawann, Nate, Rizo, Sage, Savannah, Shannon

Season 48 Finale Recap May 22, 2025

Show notes

The Finale got off to a good start, and then fizzled a bit at the end. We were happy with the winner and the challenges were good, but the big reveal we were hoping for never really materialized. We were hoping for more from the Final Tribal Council. The After Show was once again, the After Show. We've enjoyed sharing the season with you and look forward to hearing your thoughts about it as well.

What did you think of the Finale challenge? Who's gameplay impressed you the most? Were you happy with the end result? What Final Tribal Council questions stood out for you? How about the Survivor After Show? What's your take on the season as a whole? Where does it rank against the other new era seasons and all the others? What did you think of this winner?

Congratulations to our JSFL Winner, Todd from Texas, with 110 total points!

The JSFL side challenger's scores are: Lisa Rae won with 85 points, Stacy scored 81, Jeremiah scored 80, Robert scored 73, Drew scored 72, Parker scored 71, Anderson scored 69, Rebecca scored 54 points, Justin scored 52, and Johnny came in last with a score of 50. Lisa Rae will pick a song for Johnny to write and perform as a parody based on this season's events.
