    Caramoan Episode 6 Mar 21, 2013
    Show notes

OK, it is high time to rescue this season. With Lazy and Crazy gone, we can get back to some classic Survivor goodness. It started with a random shuffling of the tribes. We tend to favor the schoolyard pick'em option because it also reveals a pecking order, but neither that nor random egg cracking can guarantee balanced tribes. These new tribes are about as far from balanced as you can get. It's not clear that the New Bikal tribe stands any chance of winning a physical or endurance challenge. Who do you think will be impacted the most by the shuffle? Did anyone's chances to make it to the end dramatically improve? Will the Favs alliance hold strong across both new tribes? Who do you think will last longer: Reynold or Sherri? Will Phillip be successful in eliminating Corinne? Are Dawn and Cochran calling the shots at New Bikal? What would be your strategy for staying sane around Phillip?

Here are the tribes after episode 6. New Bikal:Cochran, Corinne, Dawn, Julia, Michael, and Phillip New Gota:Andrea, Brenda, Eddie, Erik, Malcolm , and Reynold, and Sherri

    Caramoan Episode 5 LF Mar 18, 2013
    Show notes

Up until now, a lot of us had a generally positive view of this season. We could overlook the wasted space that Shamar occupied and look forward. Unfortunately, Episode 5 and all the ugliness that occurred inside has shifted the majority opinion. While several people mentioned they liked this episode, the spectacle that became Brandon's exit has cast a bad perception on everything. He had been hyped from the NToS outburst for episode 1, but it was easy to overlook his threats. Episode 5 made him the sole focus of the show which equaled an unpleasant experience for some but not all. The great thing about our SFP community is that we love the show, have diverse life experience and a have combined that with our willingness to share that allows us to step back and look at what transpired through many lenses to help make sense of it all. Plus, we got a bonus bad boy crush confession from a fellow fan.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Thirty four fans shared their thoughts on episode 5 and predictions for what we'll see next. We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great Listener Feedback show. This week we heard from: Rhonda, Trey, Debbie, Sandi, Nicki, Erica, Jonathan, Jennifer, BostonMark, Mario, EvilJohn, Debi, Eric, Aaron, Brian, Clifton, Ryan, Drew, Kimberly, Brandon, Jen, Josh, Jeremiah, James, KathyS, BrandonB, Sean, Ed, Crystal, Helen, Alice, Jody, Saundra, and Paul.

    Caramoan Episode 5 Mar 14, 2013
    Show notes

It appears that we were not done removing the toxic castaways from season 26. Last week the fans cleaned house. This week it was the Favs turn. The casting process failed us again this season and delivered another contestant that actually wanted to quit. Brandon was on a long downward spiral and to hear him describe it, it sounded like his violent outburst was planned for quite a while. What healthy, well adjusted adult does that? They may have gone through the motions of voting, but Brandon quit well before that happened. We hope he gets the help he needs, and that we never have to see him again on our favorite TV show. Throwing a challenge has never ended well for the tribe and controlling alliance that takes the risk. What would you have done in their situation? How do you think it will affect the Favs going forward? Reynold found the OPII, again. Do you think he will be able to resist the urge to tell anyone besides Eddie? The Favs still have an overall numerical advantage. Who do you think will be impacted the most if there is a tribal shuffle?

Here are the tribes after episode 5. Bikal:Andrea, Brenda, Cochran, Corinne, Dawn, Erik, Malcolm and Phillip Gota:Eddie, Julia, Matt, Michael, Reynold, and Sherri

    Caramoan Episode 4 LF Mar 10, 2013
    Show notes

There was definitely one thing we all agreed on. Regardless of how he left, it was good to see Shamar make his exit which also resulted in many of you voting karma as "Player of the Week". Reviews on Laura's departure were mixed. Many valued her for her strategic play, but the exit interviews left many wondering how much of that was favorable editing. We had some good back-n-forth on the classic strength versus loyalty question, and opinions for the season overall are still generally positive with much credit being given to the return of serious water challenges.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. This week we interviewed Laura Alexander. She left the game in episode 4 of Survivor Caramoan. At 110 pounds she did not appear threatening, but her strategic game kept everyone not in her alliance guessing. Unfortunately, her diminutive size finally caught up with her, and she was voted out for being a weak link. Listen to this interview to hear extra details on the challenges, how paranoia affected her game, if she knew she was facing a unanimous vote out and lots more!

    Show notes

This week we interviewed Shamar Thomas. He left the game in episode 4 of Survivor Caramoan. Shamar will be remembered as one of the physically largest people to ever play the game, and as a great irritant to his tribe. He left the game for medical reasons, and was himself taken out of the game by a tiny irritant, a grain of sand. Listen to this interview to hear an update on the extent of his injuries, how he felt about the things Reynold said about him, the missing scenes he wished they had shown and lots more!

    Caramoan Episode 4 Mar 07, 2013
    Show notes

Episode four brought our first double elimination. The toxic tribemate problem in the fans tribe fixed itself, but at what cost? The fans are deep in the hole now. The favs would have to lose the next three Immunity challenges for them to go into the merge with even numbers. The future was looking very bleak for Reynold and Eddie, but now it appears that their fortunes have turned. Can the fans muster the focus to come back against a Favs tribe that appears to be firing on all cylinders in the challenges? What do you think the future holds for Sherri, Julia, Matt and Michael? Do any of them stand a chance to make final four now? What would you choose: loyalty or physicality? Who do you think needs a tribal shuffle the most? Do you think the fans will have a better chance to win now? Who is your pick for the next one to be eliminated?

Here are the tribes after episode 4. Bikal:Andrea, Brandon, Brenda, Cochran, Corinne, Dawn, Erik, Malcolm and Phillip Gota:Eddie, Julia, Matt, Michael, Reynold, and Sherri

    Caramoan Episode 3 LF Mar 04, 2013
    Show notes

Feedback on episode 3 was mixed. Some are enjoying it and for others the disappointing nature of Shamar's influence has cast a negative funk over the show. For those that enjoyed it, the highlights centered on Laura, Sherri, Corrine, Malcolm and Andrea's choices. The finding of the remaining OPII, pre-emptive attack on Corrine, handling of Shamar, and management of the votes provided ample topics for strategic speculation. It is not clear yet if the fans can save themselves from self destruction, but most of you seem to think their utter destruction is imminent.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game.
