Cagayan Episode 7 Apr 10, 2014

Show notes

The TP Idol has yet to make an appearance, but the good, old fashioned HII provided more than enough excitement for this episode. Wonder Woo went ninja on Spencer, but that wasn't enough to keep Spencer down. He pulled two rabbits out of his hat this week and ensured he would be around for at least two more episodes. Kass may not want to call it flip flopping, but you can bet everyone that gets burned will see it that way. A sense of entitlement rarely serves you well on Survivor. Blatant acknowledgement of it combined with a complete disregard for the perceptions of others suggests you might have never had a clue how to play this game to begin with. Was Woo in the right in stealing the clue? How long do you think the majority alliance can hold it together? Would Kass gain anything in flipping back to Spencer's shrinking alliance? Who do you think will be next to go?

Here is the new, merged tribe after episode 7. Solarrion:Jefra, Jeremiah, Kass, LJ, Spencer, Tasha, Tony, Trish and Woo

Cagayan Episode 6 LF Apr 05, 2014

Show notes

Kass unleashed a "chaos" virus after the merge and left many of us scratching our heads. At least one fan thinks she was on to a truly "calculated" move to get her to the end though. While many were sad to see Sarah go, most of us agreed that she had lost her luster earlier in the game and never recovered. Several questions remain as we head into the second half of the game. Who will find the TP idol, and will it's potential power change the course of the game for one castaway? Can anyone count on Kass in an alliance? Will she become this season's goat? Can the majority alliance hold it together long enough to "Pagong" Spencer, Tasha, Morgan and Jeremiah? All these variables are keeping it exciting, and we're very thankful to have a season with so many people that really want to play Survivor, and an edit that hasn't been spoiling the surprises!

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Twenty fans shared their thoughts on episode 6 and predictions for what we'll see next. We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great Listener Feedback show. This week we heard from: Brian, Mikeybear, Dana, Rashmi, Boston Mark, Lynn-bo #9, Johnny, Saundra, Samanatha, James, Drew, BrandonB, Jeremiah, Josh, BrandonA, Maria, Jill, Paul, Nicki and JD.

SFP Interview: Castoff from Episode 6 of Survivor Cagayan Apr 04, 2014

Show notes

This week we interviewed Sarah Lacina. She left the game in episode 6 of Survivor Cagayan. She was amazing to watch in the challenges. The strategic side of her game was significantly lacking though. From making the "blue badge pledge" with Tony, to attempting to throw a challenge, until she finally over played her hand as the swing vote, she was always fun to watch but that fundamental gap in her game finally caught up with her. Listen to this interview to hear who inspired her to apply for Survivor, how she felt about Tony's lies, the real reason she didn't want to vote for Trish and more!

Cagayan Episode 6 Apr 03, 2014

Show notes

This was yet another episode jammed packed with surprises. The game now moves into the second phase as the tribes merge and we switch to individual immunity. It was interesting to watch the majority alliance disintegrate because Kass and Sarah couldn't get along. Kass may not make logical choices, but she sure keeps us guessing. Tony could not win back Sarah, so it fell once again to Trish to take control of the game and give the minority alliance a chance to survive. Were you surprised at how Tony and LJ played their HIIs? How do you think the new TP idol will affect the game? Will it be a golden ticket to the finale or another lost opportunity? Will Kass be able to win, if the new majority alliance goes on a winning streak? Who is most likely to hold a grudge against her on the jury? Will the new alliance of 6 be able to hold it together long enough to get rid of Spencer, Tasha, Jeremiah, and Morgan? Who do you think will be next to go?

Cagayan Episode 5 LF Mar 29, 2014

Show notes

Episode 5 was a time for the new, post shuffle alliances to solidify. Even though the beginning was marred by an emotionally stunted quitter, the rest of the episode was extremely entertaining. Tony runs the gamut from inspired to clueless all in the course of a few hours. We are looking forward to see if he will be able to repair his "badge pledge" alliance with Sarah, or if she will take revenge after the merge.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. SFP Interview: Second Castoff from Episode 5 of Survivor Cagayan Mar 28, 2014

Show notes

This week we interviewed Alexis Maxwell. She left the game in episode 5 of Survivor Cagayan. Alexis started the game with a strong alliance, but their first loss combined with the tribal shuffle sent her game into a tail spin. She worked hard to ingratiate herself with the new, controlling alliance, but it was all to no avail in the end. She was sent packing, unable to shake the stigma of that original alliance. Listen to this interview to hear how she was chosen for the show, how she feels about her Survivor experience, how she felt watching it all play out on TV and more!

Cagayan Episode 5 Mar 27, 2014

Show notes

After all the positives we've experienced this season, it was sad to have it marred by a quitter. We saw hints of this inherent weakness in Lindsey back during the storms, so it was not a surprise to see her fold like a piece of paper once the odds were not in her favor. In spite of this set back, there were still plenty of exciting developments in this episode. Tony was a roller coaster of activity, first being creative and succeeding in casting a shadow over Jeremiah but then over sharing with his alliance and finally by over celebrating a victory from a minority alliance position. The brains alliance is flush with their new sense of power, but they don't really appear to be cementing a solid, lasting majority alliance either. Alexis went into desperation mode. Jeremiah fumbled his way through another tribal council, and Morgan got some sweet revenge. The merge is coming, and there appears to be several castaways that will be left to act as free agents. Which group of five offers the best chance for Sarah? Will Tony end up sharing his HII? What is the best overall play for Morgan, Jeremiah, Sarah and Woo? Do you think there might be the possibility we will see an entirely new majority alliance form? Who do you think will be next to go?

Cagayan Episode 4 LF Mar 22, 2014

Show notes

Judging from the feedback, this season continues to deliver on multiple levels. Most of you believe LJ and Tony must have had a deeper conversation that we did not get to hear, but no one was complaining about the blindside at Tribal Council. Theories were split on whether it was Tony's best move, whether Lindsey will actually quit, and especially on Morgan's future. The challenge now will be to see who can build alliances to last through the merge. We can't wait for episode 5.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. SFP Interview: Castoff from Episode 4 of Survivor Cagayan Mar 21, 2014

Show notes

This week we interviewed Cliff Robinson. He left the game in episode 4 of Survivor Cagayan. As the second tallest person to the play the game at six foot ten inches and a former professional athlete, there was no way "Uncle Cliffy" was going to "fly under the radar". In spite of all that, he was able to initially win over many members of his tribe. That good will was gone by day eleven. It took them a couple of tries, but Trish was eventually able to leverage some new blood via a tribal shuffle to finally take him out on day fourteen. Listen to this interview to hear how he provided for his tribe, his assessment of his tribemates, where he went wrong with Trish and lots more!
