Samoa Episode 6 LF Oct 27, 2009

Show notes

Feedback on episode 6 was definitely split. Some liked it and others found it anti-climatic. As we say so often here, the beauty of the LF show is in the differences we observe as we share what we each saw in the episode. This trend of giving away too much information in the commercials is a bit concerning though. For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Twenty six fans just like you shared their thoughts on episode 6 and predictions for what we'll see next.

We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to a great LF show. This week we heard from: Brian, Samantha, John, Christy, Becca, MikeyBear, Deanna Beth, Doug, Fancy, Griffin, Drew G, Carolyn, Graham, Ted, Jeremiah, Tammy, Paul, Damien, Drew T, Sandi, Ian, Adam, Mike K, Lynda, Chris and Kimberly.

Griffin from Vancouver used a phrase in his feedback this week that fit perfect with a picture that Dan sent us a few weeks ago.

Listen to this interview to find out how he and his family reacted to seeing his illness on TV, how he's doing now, his assessment of the Galu tribe and lots more!

Samoa Episode 6 Oct 23, 2009

Show notes

We never like to see someone go out on a medical, but it seemed a bit unbalanced to hear Jeff describe that as the scariest moment in Survivor history. How do you think it compared to Michael Skupin passing out and falling face first into a fire back in season 2 and burning all the skin off his hands?

Do you think Foa Foa can take advantage of this shift in momentum? Who do you think Galu will elect as their new chief? Will Shambo finally find a home in Galu, or will she defect to Foa Foa the first chance she gets?

Here are tribes after the sixth episode: Galu: Brett, Dave, Erik, John, Kelly, Laura, Monica, Shannon Foa Foa: Jaison, Liz, Mick, Natalie, Russell H

We both think that the momentum will shift back to Foa Foa and believe that Monica will be next to go from Galu. Who do you think will be voted out next?

Samoa Episode 5 LF Oct 20, 2009

Show notes

Episode 5 brought a new twist to tribal council and prompted some common themes in the Listener Feedback. Several people called out a possible dark side to Laura and really had trouble with how Galu is treating Shambo or Shambles as Graham calls her. As expected, there are lots of predictions on the medical evacuation in episode 6 and the potential impact on the game. For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Twenty seven fans just like you shared their thoughts on episode 4 and predictions for what we'll see next.

Samoa Episode 5 Oct 16, 2009

Show notes

So much for a Foa Foa winning streak. The immunity challenge never even looked like it was close. They have now lost half their tribe. Do you think anyone from Foa Foa could still have a shot at winning this one?

Who do you think will be next to go from Galu if they lose another immunity? Shambo seems to go out of her way to make herself an easy choice. Danger Dave appears to have trouble getting out of his own way too. Do you think good Russell might ever be at risk? Who do you think is in danger of leaving on a medical in episode 6?

Here are tribes after the fifth episode: Galu: Brett, Dave, Erik, John, Kelly, Laura, Monica, Shannon, Russell S Foa Foa: Jaison, Liz, Mick, Natalie, Russell H

Jo Ann thinks Shambo will finally be voted out. Stacy thinks that Liz made a fatal error and will be next to go. Who do you think will be voted out next?

Samoa Episode 4 LF Oct 13, 2009

Show notes

There is more great discussion of episode 4 this week as several ask about what happened to the idea of sending a spy to the losing tribe's camp, how did good Russell become deluded with power so quickly, why wasn't Shambo even considered for elimination over meak Monica, and many share their thoughts on the Probst-less reward challenge. For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Samoa Episode 4 Oct 09, 2009

Show notes

Finally, Foa Foa wins! They had to lose 4 members before they could finally gel as a tribe.

Who would you have chosen to vote out in Galu? Do you think Shambo will be more loyal to the tribe than Yasmin? It looked like John might have seen Eric looking for the idol. Do you think he knows Eric found it? Who do you think is really calling the shots in Galu? What are the odds on Jaison quitting? Do you think Liz stands a chance after crossing evil Russell if they lose?

Here are tribes after the third episode: Galu: Brett, Dave, Erik, John, Kelly, Laura, Monica, Shannon, Russell S Foa Foa: Ashley, Jaison, Liz, Mick, Natalie, Russell H

We're both thinking that Galu will end up back at Tribal Council next week. Our pick to go is Shambo. Who do you think will be voted out next?
