    A big step forward?

Simon Johnson and Sam Parkin join Matt Davies-Adams to look back on the big 3-0 win over AC Milan at Stamford Bridge to reinvigorate the Blues' Champions League campaign. There's praise for Aubameyang and James, fingers crossed for Fofana - and whether this is a sign of a real turning point for the squad with a chaotic month of fixtures to come.

Until the World Cup, international break...

Sam Parkin and Dom Fifield are alongside Matt Davies-Adams as we gear up for the return of the men's domestic football.

We begin with memories of Ramires and John Obi Mikel - who both announced their retirement from the game in midweek - with iconic goals, bags of appearances and plenty of medals between them.

Chelsea Women made it two wins from three after a 3-1 victory over West Ham - Jessy Parker-Humphreys sends in their post-match thoughts before a break in domestic play for Emma Hayes' side.

We've got a round up of how some of the Blues fared on international duty - before looking ahead to the Dom Derby as Graham Potter's side make the trip to Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon in the long-awaited return to Premier League action.

And a quiz on the Eagles would just be far to easy wouldn't it?!

We'll be back on Monday to reflect on that match - and look ahead to the crucial visit of AC Milan in the Champions League.

You've (not) got a Freund in me...

Matt Davies-Adams has got Simon Johnson and Sam Parkin in tow to mull over the latest Blues news.

We begin with the ongoing search for a sporting director, with target Christoph Freund seemingly committing his future to RB Salzburg. There's the latest on the search to fill the role - plus the unpleasant business surrounding the sacking of commercial director Damian Willoughby.

Chelsea Women are looking to get back on track after their shock defeat by Liverpool when they face Manchester City on Sunday in the WSL - we take a look at that game.

Plus, Matt devises a fiendish five-round quiz to beat the international break blues...to varying degrees of success!

We'll be back on Monday to round up the weekend's action and to take a look at how the men's international players have got on across the globe.

The international break may now be underway - but there's plenty of other Blues news to round up including the rumoured impending arrival of a new sporting director - plus a behind doors friendly, an under 21's Dom Derby - and Conor Gallagher's 'demotion' from the senior England squad.

We'll be back on Thursday to look ahead to Chelsea v Manchester City in the WSL - and check in on any other headlines.

    Not-so-all-star...

The Athletic's Chelsea experts Liam Twomey and Simon Johnson are alongside Matt Davies-Adams to look back on the 1-1 draw with RB Salzburg in Graham Potter's first game in charge of the Blues. We chat team selection, xG and same old problems as the position in Group E looks increasingly precarious after picking up just one point from the opening two games.

Todd Boehly's comments at the SALT conference have caused quite a stir - with discussion of a Premier League All-Star Game and feeder clubs catching the headlines.

Plus - with no men's match to look forward to this weekend following the postponement of Sunday's visit of Liverpool - you'll have to settle for the quiz to keep you going...

We'll be back on Monday to reflect on the belated start of the WSL season - plus a round up of the other Blues news as the international break kicks in.
