Did Palpatine Possess Vader's Mask like Lord Momin? - Star Wars Theory Jul 21, 2023

Show notes

Vader's mask is iconic. With the new canon...do you think Palpatine possessed Vader's mask like Lord Momin possessed his own? Could this have entombed Vader inside his life and mask....and the ways of the dark side for so many more years than he really would have allowed? Anakin was trying to break free, so could this magic have helped keep him locked away within Vader?

This is wild...Vader's thoughts on if Obi-Wan never followed Padme to Mustafar to confront Anakin Skywalker...I truly believe, as Vader says, that Anakin would have gone with Padme and eventually defeated Palpatine.

Kathleen Kennedy Thinks Solo Failed because no Deepfake...My Thoughts Jul 20, 2023

Show notes

Kathleen Kennedy says Solo wasn't successful because it didn't have Harrison Ford's deepfake.

I think this is incorrect. I believe Solo failed not because of the lack of deepfake or any other reason (I liked the film) other than the fact that The Last Jedi came out several months prior and created a big rift in the Star Wars fandom with the treatment of Luke Skywalker by Rian Johnson and Lucasfilm at Kathleen Kennedy's approval (I assume).

Here are my thoughts on the matter...

What do you think?

Anakin's Reaction to being Called GENERAL for the First Time [CANON] Jul 20, 2023

Show notes

in the new canon star wars novel BROTHERHOOD by Mike Chen, there's a moment where Anakin Skywalker is called "General" by a nearby Clone Trooper. Anakin thinks to himself how odd it is to be called by this title, and how he didn't become a Jedi to become a war general. I really like how they added this little detail in there. I think it adds to Anakin's overall views of how the Jedi were leaning into the politics and war of the Republic, and how he didn't want to be there.

Vader Blows Up Obi -Wan's Hut on Tatooine CANON [AFTER KENOBI] Jul 20, 2023

Show notes

In the Kenobi show starring Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen, we will see Obi-Wan hermit in hit hut on Tatooine...however his hut will eventually be blown up by Vader, which begs the question, will this roll into the show? How does this play out for Obi-Wan and Luke in Ben's hut on Tatooine in A New Hope? Do they retcon this new comic book detail?

It's new canon anyway so it's not like it really plays heavy in the George Lucas canon for A New Hope, which makes things a bit confusing.

That all said, shows do seem to run against the canon of the comics, which is fine with me, whatever serves the story better.
