Show notes

In Star Wars The Last Jedi we got the big scene where Luke Skywalker showed up as a force projection to make a foolery out of the First Order while the Resistance were empowered by his might and hope.

In the legends comics when it was Lucasfilm running the show with George Lucas as the owner, we had a very similar scene where Luke Skywalker goes up against AT-ATs. Here's how he fought it and took it down with his lightsaber and his immense force powers.

In the original screenplay/script for Star Wars Revenge of the Jedi (Return of the Jedi), George Lucas had Luke Skywalker build his own lightsaber, where Yoda would speak to him and tell him that his training is now complete.
