Becky Kopitzke It’s a new Stand Up For The Truth podcast with host Dave Wager and special guest Becky Kopitzke, author, speaker, and longtime communicator of biblical truth. Together they dive into the “theology of vocation,” exploring what it really means to serve God through everyday work and calling. Becky shares her story of learning that her worth isn’t found in what she does, but in who she is as a child of God. From motherhood to writing books and mentoring others, she’s seen how the Lord uses both gifts and seasons of waiting to shape her faith. The conversation opens with Colossians 3:12, calling believers to clothe themselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, and explores how these virtues define our work and relationships when Christ is at the center. Dave and Becky also talk about how our vocations, whether teaching, parenting, or working behind the scenes, become acts of worship when surrendered to God. They touch on the importance of humility, dependence, and being faithful in the small things that few may notice. Even the simple act of praying for someone you meet can reflect the heart of Jesus. We have to ask ourselves, why in the world would any community want illegals and the loathsome crimes they commit to ravage their towns and neighborhoods? There must be something big in it for them. Until it's their family or friend touched by crime. We also get Gary's take on the Mideast, the hot topic of the week; also on Ukraine and Russia, as no one expected this war to drag so long. Every day, we are processing probably more info than most people ever did in a lifetime in previous generations. We listen to preachers, podcasts, YouTubes, and we read volumes some days. Are we really listening critically? What about pre-texts and presumptions? We all bring with us various biases, experiences, flaws and flesh. But the Bible is unique, isn't it? Don't we want a firm foundation? Are we even concerned about said biases and preconceptions, in that they can cause a cracked foundation? We talk about all the ways that we can "watch our life and doctrine closely" so as not to ruin the hearers, but help them see the truth. A high calling indeed. Tim and Mary take a look at this week's news cycle, as powerful people line up around the globe to play their part. How will history - brief though it may be in the prophetic scheme of things - treat the peace initiative that was so loudly lauded this week? What exactly is being agreed to, within the framework of Israel's enemies who are still Israel's enemies? Time will tell, and prophecy will be the loudest voice. Meanwhile, Islam, which is usually the loudest voice in this age, continues it's creep around our nation to bite and devour any civilization that will open the gate to them. The Pentagon has approved Qatari presence at an air base in Idaho, and many are suggesting that this is a tremendous breach in national security. What could possibly go wrong? We discuss the Ai Stargate project, whose name is suggestive of something supernatural. No one discusses the spiritual aspect of all this, but eventually that, too, will be revealed. Mary welcomes first time guest to the podcast Pastor/Dr. Richard Schmidt to discuss current events. Richard has been an avid student of the Word of God for over 45 years. After giving his life to Christ during a Chicago revival meeting, he immediately immersed himself into evangelism and the study of Scripture, graduating with both a B.S. and M.A. in Pastoral Theology/Christian Education. Early in his ministry, Rich traveled with Evangelist Joe Boyd and preached in various churches and venues, including Chicago’s Pacific Garden Mission. Upon college graduation and ordination, Rich and his wife, Valori, moved to Milwaukee, WI to church plant. After the church plant was successfully merged with another, Rich joined the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office to support his young family, while simultaneously serving as an Assistant Pastor. He is currently the pastor of Union Grove Baptist Church just south of Milwaukee and an in-demand speaker. Today we chat about the rampant lawlessness in our nation and how we got here politically and prophetically. We also look at the current peace initiative in Israel, and what are we to expect when there's a victory lap going on, but we all know that Israel's enemies haven't truly had a change of heart. No, we're not speaking in circles, the truth has been on the chopping block for a long time now but it's only that the voices of falsehood are getting louder and louder and those too young to understand or sort it all out are suffering the most. We should never expect truth from the world, in fact, they suppress it, daily. Romans 1 says that when they do that, there are consequences. That's why Romans tells us that the number of fools will increase. The universe is God-centered. We have no universe of our own, but Satan is doing what he can to get his own, and here we are stuck in the middle with clowns to the left and jokers to the right. Every Christian should understand by now that what is going on in the Middle East was never about establishing a state, but destroying one. It is so obvious to so many and yet here we are, with the US and many other nations just deluding themselves around the clock. We discuss Tony Blair's role in Gaza, a clear delusion. We talk about the disintegration of Portland and why it will never likely improve, but spread; we look at Communion America, a great delusion for the church; and Trump's deal with Pfizer, delusion that began in 2020 and never really goes away. Why would he make a deal with such a corrupt and wicked corporation? And still another abortion pill goes to market. Alana Arguello: The Returning Raven – Ten Myths about Yoga Oct 03, 2025

Mary welcomes back Dr. Alana Arguello to discuss "The Yoga You Don't Know". The best way to address this New Age practice is by taking it step by step, making sure we understand by the time we are done that yoga does not belong in the Christian life. There is no amount of justifying or reconstructing it to make it anything other than Hinduism. Even if you don't practice it, does your wife? Are your kids being groomed into the New Age in the schools? What about the health food industry, and their claims of a spiritual connection through such things as tea, or supplements? We talk about all the things that people think it is, but it is paganism, pure and simple, and God warns against it. In this day and age, if a believer even says "paganism" in public, people tend to be puzzled by that, it's so - old-fashioned. And that proves a major point of the discussion today, thinking we can repackage something and, "poof!" it's real meaning disappears. This is one of those myths about yoga. Dr. Arguello is an apologist specializing in yoga, Eastern worldviews, apostasy, and where it all fits in with the Bible.
