Russ Miller: the Science of Debunking Evolution Apr 03, 2025

Show notes

Mary welcomes back Creation Scientist/Apologist Russ Miller to talk about a variety of topics. What is science? And is there a difference between true science and Darwinian conjecture? Those who worship at the altar of man's knowledge are becoming more and more vocal toward Christians who say that without God there IS no science; and yet they believe that Christianity is merely blind faith. Many great men of faith throughout the centuries were those who made the greatest discoveries to benefit mankind - and they knew that science WAS designed by God. Copernicus, Galileo, Mendel, Faraday, Kepler - all these men discovered great scientific principles that the world leans on today, and yet few know they were believers. We also discuss micro vs macro evolution, and operational verses historical science. And what about our kids? We have been told for many years they are leaving the church in droves, we probably can pinpoint the why, but - isn't anyone heeding the warnings? Parents, Pastors? Why does this remain so? Russ is a man who loves his calling and it always shows, a delightful hour with a premier Creation apologist. Headlines: Making Europe Great; Trump vs Iran; Church vs Culture Apr 02, 2025

Show notes

Tim and Mary Danielsen take on some headlines as we go around the world in 55 minutes. We update the listener on the Wisconsin election and what that means for the nation. Then we talk about the populist movement in Europe that has the attention of Trump and Musk. Regarding Europe, Daniel 2 contains one of the most interesting prophecies of all time - a large metallic man representing the significant kingdoms of the world leading up to the return of Christ. Now, who wouldn't want to know such things? But what do they mean for 21st century citizens? We look at those 10 toes. Another topic is Iran, that scoundrel nation that is the number one producer and exporter of terrorism in the world. Trump is having none of their nuke program and of course he says the quiet part out loud and lets them know he expects cooperation. Then we look at the church vs the culture, and apply things Scripturally. A full hour. Pastor Claude Stauffer: Our Dual Citizenship Apr 01, 2025

Show notes

PASTOR CLAUDE STAUFFER Mary welcomes back Pastor Claude Stauffer of Calvary Chapel Amityville, NY to talk about his latest book, "Your Greatest Patriotic Duty". Our discussion covers a variety of topics from voting, to political polarization, to evangelism to revival. Christians often disengage from the election process, stating that the lesser of two evils in candidates is no choice at all. When it comes to matters of conscience, Christians vary widely and voting is probably at the top of their list. But even when it comes to thankfulness for our relatively free and peaceful lives, Christians ought to engage in the process. The issues are important, from pro-life to being able to share the gospel freely. We also talk about revival. What is it? Does the Bible teach or prophesy about it? How might it look today, in a church that is more engaged in deception, pride and false teaching than it is engaged in evangelism. A thoughtful hour. Pastor Claude presently serves as the senior pastor of Calvary Chapel of Hope, a church he has served from its beginning in 1993. He served bi-vocationally as a pastor and social worker for 16 years. He serves as a chaplain on the New York State Chaplaincy Task Force. His latest work is “Your Greatest Patriotic Duty”, his 30th book. Ivy Bledsoe: Out of the Classroom, Into the Corral: Rethinking How We Learn and Heal Mar 31, 2025

Show notes

In this episode of Stand Up For The Truth, host Dave Wager welcomes Ivy Bledsoe, an equine-assisted learning facilitator working with North Star Equine Assisted Learning in Langlade County, Wisconsin. Ivy shares how her work with horses helps children and adults develop relational and emotional skills by connecting with God’s creation. The conversation explores the symbolic and spiritual significance of horses, drawing parallels between how horses guide and how God guides us, referencing Isaiah 30:21: “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’” Dave and Ivy reflect on how horses teach patience, trust, and obedience—mirroring the way God patiently leads us through life. Throughout the podcast, Ivy shares her personal journey from being a high-achieving but struggling student to finding healing and connection through working with horses. She explains the difference between equine-assisted learning and traditional therapy, emphasizing that her program focuses on present growth and building healthy life skills through hands-on interaction with horses. The program is designed to be accessible and adaptable for individuals, families, and even school groups—whether they’re new to horses or seasoned riders. Ivy and Dave encourage parents, educators, and ministry leaders to recognize and nurture the unique passions of young people and to consider alternative, nature-based learning environments as a powerful tool for relational and spiritual development. J. Warner Wallace: Crimes, Misdemeanors, and Meaning Mar 28, 2025

Show notes

Mary welcomes back apologist J. Warner Wallace with the release of his latest book, "Case Files: Murder and Meaning". He and his son Jimmy have written a graphic novel for young adults that is a feast for the eyes, yet explores the deeper questions that shape our lives. J. Warner Wallace is a Dateline featured cold-case homicide detective, popular national speaker and best-selling author. He continues to consult on cold-case investigations while serving as a Senior Fellow at the Colson Center for Christian Worldview. How does this unique format, in the fiction genre, lend itself to the message of the gospel? We'll hear from the "Evidence Whisperer" himself about how it came about, who illustrated it, and will there be a sequel? Then we discuss evangelism and the close link to apologetics and the importance of having an evidence-based faith. Looking back at 10+ years since "Cold Case Christianity" was released, we look at the basics of knowing what we know and why it is so important to provide proof of the hope that is in us. A great hour with one of the best apologists of our day. His books can be found here.
