JB Hixson: Simply to the Cross I Cling Apr 18, 2025

Show notes

Dr. JB Hixson Mary welcomes back JB Hixson on this Good Friday to talk about the importance of clinging to the cross in living out our day to day faith. When Jesus gave up His spirit, the veil in the temple was torn in two. This was no window curtain, it was at least 60 feet high and 4" thick - and separated the common area of the Temple from the Holy of Holies accessible only by the High Priest. The symbolism is simple: through the rending of the flesh of our Saviour, we now have access by grace to God through Jesus. What a glorious truth. This also means that we can not rely on ritual, tradition, or works to draw near to God, we are now bondsmen of Christ. So, once we understand that, what would the life of the believer look like? What should the church look like not just in our day to day service to God but corporately? Has the church become distracted by far too many bells, whistles, and sound systems? Are we still connected to the Head? The daily life of confession, repentance, cleansing and faith, minus any righteousness of our own is truly the only way to the fruitful Christian life. Circumcision of the heart. Stand Up For The Truth Videos: https://rumble.com/user/CTRNOnline & https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgQQSvKiMcglId7oGc5c46A

David Bowen: Have You Not Known, Have You Not Heard? Apr 17, 2025

Show notes

Mary welcomes back David Bowen to talk about the Road to Emmaus, that beautiful account that took place the afternoon of Resurrection Sunday. There are 89 verses about Holy Week in the Gospels, nearly a third. It's almost as though everything else in the gospels is merely an introduction to the main event! We will look at those 2 disciples, returning home after a grueling week in Jerusalem of crowds and events - Passover, the trial of Jesus, the crucifixion, the resurrection. What to make of it all? What a weekend - and now they are processing as they walk along. Then a stranger joins them, and asks why they are cast down and sad as they walk, and they respond incredulously - where were You when all this took place? Are you unaware of what has all transpired? And without recognizing their Saviour, they are treated to the most incredible Bible study ever, from the Master Himself. Wouldn't it have been incredible to be a part of that? Then we go back in time a bit and discuss Palm Sunday, and the most amazing prophecy of all - Daniel 9. Finally, we look at why Jesus had to be crucified instead of stoned. A full hour of Holy Week insights with David. Stand Up For The Truth Videos: https://rumble.com/user/CTRNOnline & https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgQQSvKiMcglId7oGc5c46A

Headlines: Trump, Tehran, and Tech Apr 16, 2025

Show notes

Tim and Mary discuss the newsworthy items of the day, at least from a media point of view. It's always been a bit of a grab bag because there are always things going on behind the scenes that don't seem to warrant further inspection by those who curate our news. At least in the days of constant feeds, some of them leak out. Today we look at the Iran talks, and try to parse out who the players are. Antisemitism continues on in public events, in this case, an event at Princeton. Who will ensure that someone is accountable for this latest mess? There wasn't even a school ID necessary, probably because that leaves the door open for paid actors to come in and rile everyone up. Also on the agenda: China rare earth elements, and why the US has to care about that; and the latest on Smart Cities for Dummies. What the globalists think is important; ie, what they can get away with, never ceases to amaze. One has to wonder what globalists like Klaus Schwab think of Islam because they might get overridden by that global agenda. Interesting times indeed. William Federer: When Tolerance Becomes Intolerable Apr 15, 2025

Show notes

Mary welcomes back historian William Federer to talk about the unthinkable: the encroachment of Islam in America - in alarming ways. In 2006, Keith Ellison became the first Muslim elected to Congress. He swore his oath on the Qua'ran. Today in Texas, two Islamic lawmakers are leading the Pakistainification of the Lone Star State. How Islam is affecting our world here in 2025 is every bit as important as it was back in the 7th century. Cities like Pflugerville, Plano, and Sugarland Texas are finding out just how the idea that Islam is just another religion that should be tolerated is so dangerous. The flag of Islamic dominance is being planted in our nation and who is sounding the alarm? The cost of our silence, starting at the ballot box, is going up by the hour. William Federer is a nationally known speaker, best-selling author, and president of Amerisearch, Inc., a publishing company dedicated to researching America's heritage. His AMERICAN MINUTE radio feature is broadcast daily across America and by the Internet. Dave Wager: The Wicked Are Winning? Not for Long Apr 14, 2025

Show notes

In this solo NEW episode of Stand Up for the Truth, guest host Dave Wager turns our focus to the timeless wisdom of Psalm 37. Dave walks through the full chapter, emphasizing five clear alternatives to worry: trust in the Lord, delight in Him, commit your actions to Him, be still in His presence, and turn from anger. Drawing from both Scripture and personal experiences, Dave explains how these practices offer practical hope in a culture plagued with anxiety and fear. Psalm 37 reminds us that fretting over the wicked is as useless as rubbing sandpaper on wood until there’s nothing left—worry only wears us out. God, not our emotions or circumstances, is our fortress in times of trouble. Dave also reflects on how God’s justice and care contrast with the empty promises of the world. While evil may flourish temporarily, the wicked will fade like grass—but those who know and trust God will endure, and their steps will be guided by Him. Through illustrations ranging from college conversations to a powerful childhood memory of his father standing up to injustice, Dave encourages believers to live lives marked by righteousness, generosity, and peace. If you’re feeling worn down by life’s chaos, this episode invites you to rest in God’s truth, re-frame your focus, and remember who truly holds the future. Terra Koslowski: Human Trafficking – Recruitment, Exploitation – and Rescuing Apr 11, 2025

Show notes

Mary chats with Q90's very own Terra Koslowski on human trafficking, the trading in humans by those who themselves are slaves to human lust and greed. Whereas as a culture, we lived according to the maxim of loving people and using things, the trafficking and porn industry survives by using humans and loving things. Terra has been a committed educator, advocate, and trainer in the fight against human trafficking for over 20 years. In 2010, Terra founded “Stop the Traffick: Make Some Noise,” an annual Human Trafficking Awareness Day Rally in her hometown of Oshkosh, WI, which inspired similar events in surrounding cities. She has played a key role in the establishment of Damascus Road Project, a faith-based non-profit organization located in Oshkosh, WI since it began in 2009 and currently serves as the Education and Engagement Director teaching and training the community about human trafficking awareness and how to get involved. She also shares the morning show mic with Crash from 6-9am Monday - Friday. With the NFL Draft coming up in Green Bay in 2 weeks, the flow of fans, tourists and sex trade opportunists will far surpass the population of Green Bay. What is trafficking? What are some of the myths? How do people get "drafted" into it? Parents, the statistics on how your children are targeted are very sobering. Get involved! We tell you how. Dr. Tim Chaffey: Do Gentile Believers in Christ Become Jews? Apr 10, 2025

Show notes

Today Mary welcomes Dr. Tim Chaffey to discuss the controversial Hebrew Roots Movement. Far from simply trying to understand the Jewish roots of the Bible, this movement seeks to answer the question about what happens when Gentiles and Jews get saved: do Gentiles become Jews? For centuries, the people of God were Jews, with the exception of some Gentiles who came to faith in the God of Israel. The early church consisted mostly of Jewish believers in Jesus, but when the gospel went to the Gentiles, there was a new dynamic that, unfortunately, even led some to believe that Christians were the new Israel and now received all the promises of God solely. This teaching continues today across the church spectrum. Why is there so much confusion about who is who, when the epistles clearly address these things head on? But with the HRM, there is even more confusion regarding the Mosaic Law, the feasts of Israel, who is a Jew, and what is Israel. Here to help us sort it all out is Dr. Chaffey, whose comprehensive article on the subject can be found here. Headlines: The Times of the Signs Apr 09, 2025

Show notes

On today's program, Tim and Mary Danielsen look at a handful of the signs, or indicators, that we are in those days of the labor pains on earth. When Jesus spoke of the signs in the earth, He said to watch for natural signs as the "beginning of labor pains". I guess the one thing we all want to know of course, is, how close are we - when do things point to the middle of pains? When it comes to watching on the part of the church, it seems they are looking for more drama because the majority are NOT watching, as if these things are just normal -- "all things continue as they have been" is the general thinking. In light of that, we take a look at the crazy weather this Spring as we perceive creation groaning, or is it rather, raging? Then we look at a random selection, or snapshot of the day: DEI gone wicked in Colorado; hypocrisy and Hamas both home and abroad. Those who watch tend to murmur that it's difficult to keep up, but there are some significant subjects that always warrant our inspection and attention: Israel, a global money system, a world government, and a global religion. The apostasy of the church is also a vast subject not for the faint of heart. A full hour of news and commentary. Avery Foley: Parenting on Purpose Apr 08, 2025

Show notes

Mary welcomes Avery Foley from Answers in Genesis about parenting in these times. With so many parenting styles over the decades, and home-school curricula, parents need to be not just intentional but also measure everything by the Word. We talk about the big issues of the day - are children mature enough to understand them? There was a time not only did these cultural issues remain hidden from children's eyes, but the children were also allowed to fully experience childhood free from the knowledge of sexual and political understanding in a way far beyond their years. We talk about discernment in curricula; and helping kids make good choices in behavior and self discipline. Telling them what they did wrong, but also helping them choose better next time is critical to driving home the need for good character and responding biblically. She and her husband Trevor produce great children's content in the form of educational and entertaining videos. They can be found here at Answers TV. Andy Woods: Restraining Evil – Until Apr 04, 2025

Show notes

Mary chats with Pastor Andy Woods of Sugarland Bible Church about some fascinating topics on the radar for believers. First we discuss Trump's energetic agenda to pull the plug on Columbia's massive federal aid package, and the courage it takes to tell them "no more!" when it comes to their antisemitic agenda. Will other institutions of higher learning feel the pinch on that as well? Then we talk about the questionnaires Trump is sending out to the UN to force the humanitarian agencies to disclose any ties to communist organizations. We ask ourselves, why do these things take so long to be implemented, when we see the scope of corruption. Also: activist judges who openly oppose the president's agenda, acting as if they have the same power he does. What exactly is a district court? The answer will surprise you. Then there's the Temple Mount, a fascinating subject for believers who see in prophecy a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem - but are still waiting to see how it might come about; more on those Russian horsemen mentioned in Ezekiel 38; Islamisizing America. Always a great hour with a great student of the times. Stand Up For The Truth Videos: https://rumble.com/user/CTRNOnline & https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgQQSvKiMcglId7oGc5c46A
