Zelia Edgar dives into one of the most chilling and consequential UFO cases in U.S. history: the 1967 Malmstrom Air Force Base missile shutdown. As strange aerial objects maneuvered above nuclear missile sites in Montana, ten Minuteman ICBMs suddenly went offline, an event witnessed by trained Air Force personnel and later echoed at a nearby launch facility. Zelia explores the eyewitness accounts, official records, electromagnetic anomalies, and the broader UFO flap that gripped the region, raising unsettling questions about the relationship between UFOs and nuclear weapons.

Filmmaker, Darcy Weir, joins Ryan for a wide-ranging conversation centered on his latest documentary, Dark Alliance: The Next Generation. Weir breaks down the controversial world of the so-called “New Age Secret Space Program,” examining extraordinary claims, key personalities, and how science fiction, belief, and misinformation often blur together within modern ufology. The discussion also touches on Shag Harbour, USOs, whistleblowers, community infighting, and the responsibility of skepticism in a field driven by mystery and belief. It’s a candid look at why asking hard questions may be just as important as chasing the unknown.

UK UFO researcher, Philip Mantle, joins us to discuss his book, UFO Landings UK, a deep dive into hundreds of alleged UFO landing cases across the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland, spanning from the early 1900s to the present day. Mantle reflects on the formative Normanton landing case in West Yorkshire that ignited his lifelong investigation into close-range UFO encounters. He then details several cases of high strangeness, echoing the research philosophy of J. Allen Hynek, who argued that the closer and more prolonged an encounter, the harder it is to explain away.

For decades, UFO crash retrieval stories have been buried under secrecy, ridicule, and classified files. But what happens when ordinary people accidentally witness extraordinary secrets? In this episode of Somewhere in the Skies, we explore a collection of lesser-known UFO crash and recovery cases spanning multiple decades, featuring firsthand testimony from military personnel, civilians, and insiders who claimed to see recovered craft and non-human bodies. From a guarded hangar at Wright Field in 1946 to a mysterious desert recovery in New Mexico and secretive incidents across Ohio, Louisiana, New York, and Alaska, these accounts describe craft, unknown materials, and even bodies that were never meant for public eyes.

Zelia Edgar explores the chilling 1966 “Eerie, Erie Entity” encounter at Presque Isle State Park on the shores of Lake Erie, where a stranded group of picnickers reported a luminous UFO, intense buzzing sounds, and a terrifying, faceless humanoid emerging from the woods. Blending witness testimony, police involvement, and later skepticism from official investigators, this episode examines the strange overlap of UFO phenomena and cryptid encounters, leaving listeners to decide for themselves what truly haunted that beach on a summer night.

We welcome back Ronny LeBlanc to discuss his new book, Interdimensional, exploring how UFOs, cryptids, consciousness, and paranormal phenomena may be interconnected aspects of a deeper, layered reality. Drawing from firsthand encounters, including plasma-like aerial entities, cloaked beings, and shared anomalous experiences, LeBlanc challenges the traditional “nuts and bolts” UFO narrative and reframes the phenomenon through an interdimensional and consciousness-based lens. This wide-ranging conversation examines ancient accounts, modern sightings, perception, fear, spirituality, and the evolving nature of reality itself, offering listeners a thought-provoking exploration of what may be shaping humanity’s ongoing encounters with the unknown.
