In our third interview ever, we call in for an hour long conversation with FBI SA Ted Halla from the Western Washington Seattle division. An Agent that once sat across the table from Israel Keyes. Finding out how important this case still is to law enforcement and just how much information the FBI is willing to share.
In this episode, we begin to Fact check leads from the case file as we break down whether jurisdictional lines were a part of Israel's plan. Which leads to us discovering a new point on the map to add to the investigation.

S01E04 - Essex, VT Aug 08, 2024

Show notes

After his 2009 Tupper Lake NY crime spree, Israel Keyes buried his guns and left his shovel, 97 miles east next to the Winooski River in the heart of Vermont. This Cache of weapons remained hidden just off of Vermont’s Hwy 15 in the Woodside Natural Area until 2011, when he used the items inside to abduct and murder a married couple less than 2 miles away. In this episode Joshua wraps up his trip in the NE by retracing Keyes’ steps in Essex, and we discover what could be a new understanding of how Israel chose his locations to commit crime.

S01E03 - Tupper Lake, NY Jul 25, 2024

Show notes

In April of 2009 Israel Keyes abducted, murdered, then buried a victim alongside the Raquette River a few miles outside of Tupper Lake, NY. He then robbed the Tupper Lake Community Bank, absconding with nearly $10,000. Some of the weapons found in the Blake Falls Reservoir Bucket were used in these crimes and were hidden, previously, in a different cache at a different location. In this episode, Josh searches for a victims' remains as we realize a document I found in the early stages of our research directly relates to Israel’s caching methods.
