We are excited to bring you the second part of a conversation we had with 4 retired FBI profilers from the podcast, The Consult. They independently profiled the Samantha Koenig case and the William and Lorraine Curriers case before anyone knew that a serial killer was involved. They know the case well and have covered Israel Keyes on thier show. Their experience and expertise shines through as they begin to put to bed all of the mystic built around the case. We not only get their insight into the details surrounding his drawings and writings found in his cell, but they also discuss Israel in a more general sense and how Israel relates to other offenders.
Enjoy!

Hi Everyone,
In today's episode, as we near the end of the Caracol miniseries - we are joined by Heather Horton Whedon as she retells the theory she told us one cold rainy night while camping near a cemetery on the shoreline of Blake Falls Reservoir. A glimpse into how pondering over Israel's last days and final moments reminded her of specifc Tarot cards that hold special meanings. Speculative but engaging - as well as thought provoking with a fresh perspective from someone that spent the most time with the image. Thanks for listening - and if you are enjoying Somewhere in the Pines, please be sure to tell a friend.

Hi Everyone,
This is part 2 of two episodes that we are releasing today. This is an episode of the Consult podcast that we were given permission to use to help us explain all that we can about Israel's time in his cell. Please show the Consult podcast some love and check out the other two episodes they did on Keyes - as well as a list of other incredible cases. https://www.truecrimeconsult.com
Th Consult's show notes:
Israel Keyes was a highly mobile serial killer who murdered Bill and Lorraine Currier in June 2011 and Samantha Koenig in February 2012. Keyes is also suspected of murdering several other people. He died by suicide in December 2012. Listen as retired FBI profilers Julia Cowley, Angela Sercer, Susan Kossler Drew, and Bob Drew continue to profile Keyes, including discussion of the note he left in his jail cell. Part 3 of 3.
