The Alien Signal We Were Told Never To Answer | Dark Forest Theory | Conspiracy Theories Aug 03, 2026
    Show notes

For more than sixty years, humanity has listened to the stars and heard nothing. Officially, no confirmed message has ever been received.

According to tonight's conspiracy, that statement is technically true — because what arrived in 1977 wasn't a message. It was a warning.

Tonight's story follows astrophysicist Dr. Hannah Mercer as she uncovers nine hundred and forty missing files across the world's radio astronomy archives, every one of them pointing at the same anonymous patch of the constellation Cygnus. What she finds is a sixty-year program with no public description, a ledger of civilizations that announced themselves and then went silent, and three words that took four years to translate.

Phoenix Lights 1997... The Truth | Conspiracy Theories | Sleep Theories Podcast Aug 02, 2026
    Show notes

On the night of March 13, 1997, thousands of people across Arizona watched an enormous, silent V-shaped formation cross their sky. Police officers. Pilots. Families. An entire state standing on their lawns, looking up at the same moment.

Officially, the later lights were military illumination flares. Officially, the case is closed.

But what if the lights were never the event? What if they were the distraction from it?

Project Pegasus : The Secret Time Travel Program... | Conspiracy Theories Aug 01, 2026
    Show notes

In the late nineteen sixties, according to one of the strangest claims in modern conspiracy folklore, the United States government ran a classified program that sent children through time.

    They called it Project Pegasus.

Tonight we follow that claim as far down as it goes — an underground facility, two enormous rotating rings, thirty-one children in gray coveralls, a corridor lined with predictions about years that hadn't happened yet, and a former analyst who opens a package left by his dead father and finds a videotape recorded thirteen years in the future.

The Giant of Kandahar (2002) What Really Happened? | Conspiracy Theories Jul 30, 2026
    Show notes

In the spring of two thousand two, a six-man reconnaissance patrol walked into a valley northwest of Kandahar and never walked out. There was no distress call. No wreckage. No bodies. The last words anyone heard from them were four: "This isn't Taliban."

Days later a second team went in after them. Six came back. Their weapons were confiscated, their medical records vanished, and the mission log was rewritten. What they found in that cave — and more importantly, what was sealed behind it — became one of the strangest modern legends in military folklore.

Tonight we follow the whole thing down: the abandoned camp, the footprints with six toes, the count carved into a chamber wall, the tomb four hundred feet beneath the mountain, and a shipping manifest dated three weeks after the ridge came down.

Nearly two hours of slow, cinematic narration built for sleep. No jump scares, no loud stings. Just the dark, and a story that gets bigger the deeper it goes.

The Hidden Society Behind the Bilderberg Meeting... | Conspiracy Theories Jul 30, 2026
    Show notes

A hotel in the Dutch woods. One hundred and thirty of the most powerful people alive. No minutes, no votes, no record of anything that was said.

A historian finds a single sentence in a declassified memorandum: the public conference ends at six, and something else begins at half past midnight, in a room that isn't on any floor plan.

A slow, cinematic sleep documentary about the Bilderberg Meeting — the real history first, then a fictional conspiracy about what asymmetrical knowledge actually buys you. Fiction built on a factual foundation. Best listened to with the lights off.

Project Azorian...The Submarine The CIA Was Never Supposed To Reach | Conspiracy Theories Jul 28, 2026
    Show notes

Three miles beneath the North Pacific, a Soviet ballistic missile submarine came to rest in the spring of 1968. The Soviet Navy searched for months and never found it. The CIA found it by listening.

What followed was Project Azorian: a ship the size of a skyscraper, a claw the size of a house, a fake deep-sea mining industry, and Howard Hughes lending his name to the most audacious cover story of the Cold War. All of that is documented history.

Tonight we tell that history in full, slowly, in the dark. And then we follow the conspiracy theory that grew inside its redactions — the claim that the missiles were never the objective, that sonar operators had photographed something resting against the wreck that no navy on earth ever built, and that the greatest achievement of Project Azorian was convincing the world that the submarine was the only thing that came up.

Benjamin Franklin's Basement Bones: The 1,200 Remains at 36 Craven Street | Conspiracy Theories Jul 27, 2026
    Show notes

The bones beneath Benjamin Franklin's house at 36 Craven Street, London —more than 1,200 human remains found in 1998 — explained in full, then takensomewhere the official record doesn't go. A long, slow dark historydocumentary made for sleep.Between 1757 and 1775, Benjamin Franklin lived at 36 Craven Street inLondon, a few minutes' walk from Charing Cross. In 1998, duringrestoration work, builders digging in a windowless basement room uncovereda pit containing more than 1,200 fragments of human bone — the remains ofat least fifteen people, including men, women and children. Some skullshad been drilled. Some long bones had been cut cleanly with a saw. Onestill held the tip of a surgical instrument.

The Missing Templar Treasure... | Rosslyn Chapel & the Last Vault | Conspiracy Theories Jul 26, 2026
    Show notes

On Friday the 13th of October, 1307, King Philip IV of France arrested every Knight Templar in his kingdom in a single coordinated dawn operation. His clerks inventoried the candlesticks, the horses, the barrels of salted fish.

They never found the treasure. And the Order's central archive — two centuries of banking records covering half the thrones in Europe — has never surfaced.

Tonight we walk slowly through the documented history first: Philip's debts, the debasement of the coinage, the fall of Acre, the confessions taken under torture, and Jacques de Molay's final retraction on the scaffold. Then we cross into the conspiracy theory that grew in the empty space the historians left behind — a fleet leaving La Rochelle on a night tide, a sealed chest with a seal older than any living Grand Master, a chapel in Midlothian carved so densely that the message disappears into the ornament, and a vault under a Highland glen that has been quietly maintained for six hundred years.

Cicada 3301 Explained: The Unsolved 2012 Internet Mystery | Conspiracy Theories Jul 26, 2026
    Show notes

In January 2012, a plain black image appeared on an internet message board. White text. No signature. It said someone was looking for highly intelligent individuals — and that a test had already begun.

It became known as Cicada 3301.

Over the following weeks, thousands of strangers across the world chased it through steganography, book ciphers, prime numbers, the Tor network, and PGP encryption — until the trail stepped off the screen entirely, and posters appeared taped to lampposts in Warsaw, Seoul, Paris, Sydney, and ten other cities on five continents. Then the people who solved it stopped posting. No company ever claimed it. No government ever admitted it. And most of Liber Primus, the book of runes Cicada released in 2014, has never been read.

Travis Walton 1975: The Fire in the Sky Cover-Up | Conspiracy Theories Jul 24, 2026
    Show notes

On the night of November 5, 1975, seven loggers drove out of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest in Arizona and only six came back. Travis Walton was gone for five days. The argument about what happened to him has run for half a century without ever resolving.

But the conspiracy says nobody was ever supposed to be looking at the man.

Four and a half miles from that clearing, the following morning, two Forest Service employees found a circle of forest stripped bare with the soil still warm. Their report never reached the search coordinator. It reached Washington in ninety minutes.

Tonight we walk through the real Travis Walton case in full — the crew, the beam, the drive away and the turnaround, the polygraphs, the payphone in Heber at ten past midnight — and then step into a fictional layer about what may have been recovered, what was done with it, and the night it vanished a second time from a locked room two hundred feet underground.
