    She’s Talkin’ Money

You make good money. You save. You contribute to retirement. On paper, you are doing well. So why do you still feel unsure whether you are making the right decisions with your money?

She’s Talkin’ Money is the personal finance podcast for women who have outgrown basic budgeting advice and want more clarity about what comes next.

Hosted by financial planner and money expert Shari Rash, the show helps you understand how to put your money to work through smarter investing, retirement planning, saving, tax strategy, and intentional spending.

You will also hear honest conversations about the emotional side of money: fear, guilt, comparison, financial independence, over-saving, and why earning more does not always make you feel more secure.

Expect practical solo episodes, expert conversations, and real money questions designed to help you stop second-guessing yourself and start making financial decisions with more confidence.

Because doing well on paper should feel good in real life, too.

Previously known as Everyone’s Talkin’ Money.

Everything You Need to Know About Economics with Howard Yaruss Mar 13, 2023
    Show notes

Remember that economics course you took? Yeah, me neither. Turns out that knowing what’s happening in the economy is more important than you know. Politicians are making decisions with the economy that have a direct impact on your money. So as our guest Howard Yaruss, economist, professor at NYU, and author of the new book, Understandable Economics: Because Understanding Our Economy is Easier Than You Think and More Important Than You Know, says, it’s time to start paying attention to our economy and the people making the decisions. You know all those companies laying off workers right now - that’s because of the economy. And the reason behind your $100 grocery shopping bill that was $50 last year…well, that’s because of the economy. In this episode, Howard’s spilling the beans on everything you need to know about economics, our economy, where money comes from, and how our current economy directly impacts your money.

Ask Shannah: How Getting Hornier Can Help You Save Money Mar 03, 2023
    Show notes

The rising costs of living, you know everything from gas to eggs to rent prices is causing some people to be hornier. Yes, hornier. I’m breaking it all down in this episode of Ask Shannah. My guess is you might be wondering why in the world rising prices are making people hornier. Before we get there, this episode was inspired by a recent Ask Shannah from Gwen who said,

“Hi Shannah, I appreciate all your episodes. I’m learning so much about money it’s kinda blowing my mind. I have a sort of bizarre question that I want to run by you. My partner and I are thinking about moving in together. Not because I think we’re ready for it but honestly to save some money. Everything is so much more expensive that it’s hard to make ends meet and still have money left over for any semblance of a dating life. I know it’s a big risk to move in with someone before you are ready but honestly, I don’t know what else makes sense other than moving in and saving some money. We figured we would save around $1500ish each a month between rent, utilities, groceries, and more. What do you think?”
