Today’s episode is special because there is a special guest, actress and content creator Givonnie Samuels joins Jerrilyn and Lynee’ on the She Said It First Podcast. Before getting into their discussion, the women talk about a variety of topics.

    Jerrilyn and Lynee’, along with Giovonnie Samuels, speak about clubbing in your thirties. Do you still go to the club and if you do, what type of clubs are you going to. They also speak about friendships and the age gap between them. Do all of your friends have to be close to your age or can they be older or younger. This led to a conversation about embracing your femininity and how Giovonnie found her femininity. Giovonnie opens up about her divorce and being single as well as navigating in this new content creator space. Samuels also talks about being a child actor and having to make that transition and how it is different in this social media space. Last, but not least, Giovonnie stayed to help Jerrilyn and Lynee’ give some advice as Unlicensed Professionals.

    Are Black Women Loved and Can We Rest | Episode 57 Jun 19, 2025

    In this episode of The She Said It First Podcast, hosts Jerrilyn Lake aka Indeskribeabull and Lynee’ Monae discuss a variety of topics, but first Lynee’ and Jerrilyn tell the fans What Irritated Them This Week. And while not much irritated Lynee’, Lynee’ irritated Jerrilyn. And the reason why Jerrilyn is irritated with Lynee’ is because she does not live in Atlanta.     During Girl, What Happened, Jerrilyn and Lynee’ wanted to honor Pride Month. They talked about if they were offered a role to play someone in the LGBTQ+ community, would they be able to be believable. This conversation went further when Jerrilyn and Lynee’ spoke about Tyler Perry and how some of his movies, and other filmmakers, only show the trauma of black people, and black women specifically.

    Also, with it being Juneteenth, Jerrilyn and Lynee’ wants to celebrate black people being free in this country. And they spoke about who should be off work on Juneteenth. And during Girl Talk, they spoke about young girls wearing makeup and wigs.

    During Girl, What Happened, Jerrilyn and Lynee’ wants to know when it is okay to move on after your partner passes away. This question comes after Vanessa Bryant was rumored to be pregnant, and social media went up in an uproar. With June being Men’s Mental Health Month, Jerrilyn and Lynee’s spoke about being in couple's therapy. They also speak if they require the men that they are dating to have gone to therapy at some point. They urge men to take care of their mental health.

    During Girl Talk, in honor of Black Music Month, Jerrilyn and Lynee’ speak about their music crushes when they were growing up. Ironically, they share the same crush. Jerrilyn and Lynee also talked about the things they wish they knew when they were twenty-five. And Jerrilyn and Lynee’ are Unlicensed Professionals, giving you all of the advice you need, with zero credentials.

Lynee’ went on a solo trip for her birthday, and while she had fun, she now needs a vacation for the vacation. She is feeling all of thirty-six. And Jerrilyn is irritated with people being passively aggressive with her.

    During Girl, What Happened, Jerrilyn and Lynee’ spoke about a story that has hit social media of a man who was upset for not being invited to his stepdaughter’s graduation. He raised his stepdaughter since she was two years old but among the eight tickets, he could not get one. Jerrilyn and Lynee also talked about Cardi B and Offset divorce playing out on social media. Offset wants spousal support and Cardi B wants him to die slow and is showing off her new relationship with Stefon Diggs.

    Jerrilyn and Lynee got into some Girl Talk and they spoke about having strained relationships in your family. They spoke about toxic family members that they no longer deal with the way they once did. This led to the host talking about Nikolas McKnight passing away from his battle with cancer. He is the son of Brian McKnight, but they also did not speak before he passed according to sources close to the family. Also, Jerrilyn and Lynee spoke about the first black mayor of Tulsa, OK setting up a $100 million private trust for the descendants of the Tulsa Race Massacre in 1921.

    This week on The She Said It First Podcast, Jerrilyn Lake aka Indeskribeabull and Lynee’ Monae discusses various topics, but before they get into that, they tell the fans What Irritated Them this week. And Jerrilyn is irritated by her parents. She loves them coming to her house, but she has to treat them like teenagers, talking about “we outside.” Lynee’ is irritated that fans are pretty much cyber stalking on social media. It is getting weird at this point.

    During Girl, What Happened, Jerrilyn and Lynee’ finally spoke about the Diddy trial as much as they tried not to talk about it. Kid Cudi finally took the stand, and he spoke about many of the things that Cassie spoke about during her testimony. This led the host to talk about how someone can put their trust in someone who does not have their best interest at heart. Jerrilyn and Lynee’ then spoke about wanting Remy Ma and Papoose to keep their private life off of the internet. They think it just has become too much and that the public should not know all these things about their relationship.

    During Girl Talk, Lynee’ and Jerrilyn spoke about being the “auntie” at the cookout. They are no longer bringing paper plates and alcohol; they have to make the potato salad. Then the conversation transitioned to single women home ownership. They then spoke about single women and how they own homes more than single men. Jerrilyn and Lynee’ spoke about reasons why they think that it is happening. Lynee’ being a homeowner herself, spoke about her reason for wanting to buy her house. Also, Jerrilyn and Lynee’ spoke about the TikTok trend that is happening when men are saying good night to their friends.
