The Barbs are Now Barbra with Alton Walker | Episode 73 Oct 09, 2025
    Show notes

Episode 73 of She Said It First is a full-on comedy cookout featuring Jerrilyn Lake (aka Indeskribeabull), Lynee’ Monae, and special guest comedian Alton Walker—and let’s just say he came ready to cut up. Before the gossip and girl talk, they dive into What Irritated Me This Week, where the crew goes in on people who complain about navigating Atlanta’s airport (“if you can read, you can fly!”) and an unfortunate viral confession from a woman admitting she’s still “getting used to showering.” The lesson? Hygiene is not a hobby.

Then in Girl, What Happened, things take a turn for the petty as they unpack the never-ending Cardi B vs. Nicki Minaj drama. Between baby insults, fake apologies, and 3 a.m. Twitter rants, the trio agrees it’s time to hang it up—because the Barbs are now Barbra, and nobody wants to see aunties beefing on the timeline. They also spoke about Diddy being sentenced to 50 months in prison for the crimes he committed. Jerrilyn and Lynee, along with Alton Walker cannot see how people are still defending Diddy. They also spoke about the tragic story of a young New Jersey male being charged with murder for a hit in run that caused the death on two young girls. This was allegedly in the name of vengeance for Charlie Kirk.

Finally, Girl Talk takes the conversation to weddings, relationships, and whether love or money really holds a marriage together. From overpriced bridesmaid dresses to whether guests should follow a bride’s “suggested attire,” the hosts keep it hilariously honest. Alton admits he’s still “figuring marriage out,” Jerrilyn reminds everyone that weddings are really just expensive group projects, and Lynee’ says she’s fine as long as nobody shows up in white—or bills her for the champagne. Between laughter, real talk, and pure foolishness, Episode 73 proves that whether they’re debating soft life or soap life, the She Said It First crew always keeps it clean… mostly.

What Irritated Me This Week | These Damn Planes Oct 07, 2025
    Show notes

In What Irritated Me the Most This Week, the ladies start by venting about nonstop turbulence—literal and metaphorical. From loud planes drowning out their recording to people who just won’t stop blocking your blessings, the segment is basically therapy with punchlines. As Jerrilyn says, sometimes life really is just one long flight with no peanuts.

She Said It Over the Plane | Episode 72 Oct 02, 2025
    Show notes

Episode 72 of She Said It First is proof that even when the universe (and a fleet of airplanes) tries to sabotage them, Jerrilyn Lake (aka Indeskribeabull) and Lynee’ Monae will still deliver the laughs.

In Girl, What Happened, the conversation turns serious when they unpack a viral TikTok comparing doctors’ treatment of Black women to police treatment of Black men. The hosts share their own frustrating (and at times scary) medical experiences, dragging the racism baked into healthcare while clowning male OBGYNs who thought “fascinated with coochie” was a career goal. Between the jokes, they get real about how society confuses Black women’s strength with being pain-proof, and why more Black doctors—and more listening—are desperately needed. The ladies go in on Judge Lynn Toler’s revelation that she married a man with four kids and no money. Jerrilyn and Lynee’ respectfully disagree (read: roast it into the ground), pointing out that “companionship” doesn’t pay rent and love alone won’t keep the lights on.

Finally, Girl Talk takes us from the waiting room to the dating pool, with hilarious first-date horror stories, from a man battling chopsticks like it was Mortal Kombat to another comparing salmon to… well, let’s just say it wasn’t flattering. They round things out By the end, between the planes, the shade, and the jokes, this episode proves that no amount of background noise can drown out the chemistry of these two.

Five Dollars for Cheesecake Factory Date with Mr. Bankshot | Episode 71 Sep 25, 2025
    Show notes

Episode 71 of She Said It First brings all the smoke and the laughs with special guest Nicholas “Mr. Bankshot” Banks. Jerrilyn and Lynee’ waste no time roasting their friend like only besties can—calling him out for showing up late, questioning his “Lovely Day” legacy, and debating who’s really the best friend in the room.

In What Irritated Me the Most This Week, the crew takes aim at people who can’t mind their business online, poking fun at the way trolls create drama out of thin air just to get attention. From there, the conversation shifts to Bankshot’s creative career—his viral parodies, stand-up comedy, and Twitch streaming—where he breaks down how authenticity beats chasing algorithms every time. Naturally, Jerrilyn and Lynee’ have questions about just how many hours a man can spend on a gaming console before it stops being “work” and starts being a problem.

The episode rounds out with their signature mix of comedy and real talk, touching on relationships, Cheesecake Factory dates, and whether men should ever be paying for girls’ night tabs. With endless laughs, sharp side-eyes, and the kind of roasting only friends can get away with, this one proves: lovely day or not, Bankshot wasn’t safe in that studio.

Girl Talk | Taking Off Your Superwoman Cape  Sep 22, 2025
    Show notes

During Girl Talk, Jerrilyn Lake (aka Indeskribeabull) and Lynee’ Monae, along with guest Kira J spoke about relationships, and the burden Black women carry when they’re expected to be everybody’s superhero. Kira got candid about taking her “cape” off before she crashes out, leaning on family when needed, and learning the difference between friendships and mentorships (because not everyone who wants to be in your circle can pour back into you).

    I Have No Idea What I am Doing with Kira J | Episode 70 Sep 18, 2025
    Show notes

Episode 70 of She Said It First is giving therapy, laughs, and side-eye all at once. Jerrilyn Lake (aka Indeskribeabull) and Lynee’ Monae welcomes their special guest, poet and multi-hyphenate creative Kira J, who’s fresh off the release of her powerful new spoken word album, I Have No Idea What I’m Doing. And while Kira might not claim to have all the answers, she definitely brought wisdom, raw honesty, and a couple of gut-punching poems that had everybody clutching their chest like, “girl… me personally, I couldn’t.”

In What Irritated Me the Most This Week, the ladies went off on folks who keep giving attention to toothless trolls on social media. Jerrilyn and Lynee made it clear: stop making think pieces about people with three missing molars and a Wi-Fi connection—mute, scroll, and move on. By the time Kira chimed in about trolls and toxic commenters, the whole segment felt like group therapy mixed with a roast session.

For Girl, What Happened, the three women dove into Kira’s artistry, the inspiration behind her album, and her viral poem “If I Never Get to Love You.” Between discussions of heartbreak, healing, and knowing when to ask for help, the episode proves you can laugh, cry, and side-eye a dusty troll all in the same hour. Then in Girl Talk, the conversation shifted to relationships and the burden Black women carry when they’re expected to be everybody’s superhero. Kira got candid about taking her “cape” off before she crashes out, leaning on family when needed, and learning the difference between friendships and mentorships (because not everyone who wants to be in your circle can pour back into you).

What Irritated Me This Week | Here is Your Little Money Back Sep 15, 2025
    Show notes

On What Irritated Me This Week, Jerrilyn Lake aka Indeskribeabull and Lynee’ Monae go in on people who borrow your stuff, call it “little,” and then forget they were broke knuckle-deep in pocket lint when they asked you in the first place. From lending money to “elevating homelessness” (yes, they really said that), the ladies turn irritation into pure comedy, reminding us all why you should never loan out anything you can’t live without.

Auntie Tab Just Said to Get a Job | Episode 69 Sep 11, 2025
    Show notes

Episode 69 of She Said It First is peak best friend banter meets real talk. Kicking things off with What Irritated Me This Week, Jerrilyn Lake aka Indeskribeabull and Lynee’ Monae go in on people who borrow your stuff, call it “little,” and then forget they were broke knuckle-deep in pocket lint when they asked you in the first place. From lending money to “elevating homelessness” (yes, they really said that), the ladies turn irritation into pure comedy, reminding us all why you should never loan out anything you can’t live without.

In Girl, What Happened, the spotlight is on Cardi B beating her civil case—because apparently a $24 million scratch wasn’t scratching enough. The ladies drag the lawsuit for being greed in a wig, clown the plaintiff for thinking Cardi wouldn’t show up, and side-eye celebrities who somehow always find themselves in court but never in choir practice. Things escalate with talk of Epstein files, Timberland’s creepy Aaliyah confession, and a whole detour on how men in power have been getting away with predatory nonsense for decades. It’s a heavy conversation, but they sprinkle enough side-eyes and punchlines to keep it balanced.

Finally, in Girl Talk, dating disasters take center stage, with one story about a pool-owning man who ghosted so hard he deserves an Olympic medal. The ladies also unpack Tabitha Brown’s viral moment telling struggling entrepreneurs to “get a job” if their business isn’t paying the bills. While the internet clutched its pearls, Jerrilyn and Lynee’ defended Auntie Tab, pointing out that humbling yourself with a paycheck isn’t failure—it’s called funding your dreams (and keeping the lights on).

    Consider the Source | Episode 68 Sep 04, 2025
    Show notes

Episode 68 of She Said It First is a whole sermon and a roast rolled into one. Jerrilyn Lake (aka Indeskribeabull) and Lynee’ Monae start off with a word on boundaries—because apparently some folks still think sliding into DMs with “what’s up, dummy?” is a love language. Spoiler: it’s not. The ladies break down how “being funny” doesn’t give you a free pass to be disrespectful, and why calling women “females” might just earn you a quick trip to verbal jail. It’s giving “match energy or get matched out.”

From there, the conversation swerves to Offset’s “don’t get married unless you’re ready to change your whole life” revelation, which the ladies politely translate as: “congrats on finally learning Marriage 101, sir.” They applaud him for at least removing himself from the dating pool before he could waste anybody else’s time, but remind us all to consider the source before taking relationship advice from men whose résumés are stacked with red flags and reality TV-worthy drama. That theme carries into discussions about oversharing on social media, the mess that was the Jussie Smollett documentary, and why sometimes the most revolutionary thing you can do is mind your business.

Of course, the hilarity doesn’t stop there. On "Girl Talk," the hosts go in on engagement rings that don’t ring true (ladies, it’s okay to say you hate it—just don’t pawn it too quick), the nightmare of having a roommate in your 30s (“you wash your ass in my sink? You gotta go”), and why privacy is priceless when you’ve got a platform. By the time they close out inviting listeners to join them on a group trip to Thailand, you know one thing for sure: Jerrilyn and Lynee will give you the truth, the laughs, and the side-eye that you didn’t know you needed—but definitely did.

    Rich Auntie Vibes | Episode 67 Aug 28, 2025
    Show notes

Besties, we're serving HOT TEA and existential crises this week! Jerrilyn Lake (aka Indeskribeabull) and Lynee’ Monae are back with another chaotic episode of the She Said It First podcast where we're discussing why the Instagram algorithm has us in a chokehold, why making friends in your 30s hits different, and how to gracefully ghost a bestie who no longer sparks joy. We're getting vulnerable about becoming our mothers (the audacity!), why our backs hurt from just existing, and how tequila is now our sworn enemy. Plus, we're sharing the tea on what happens when you realize your childhood bestie and you are living in completely different universes - spoiler alert: it's not always messy, sometimes you just... drift. And because we can't help ourselves, we're also dragging certain political figures who think they can buy their way into heaven (sir, this is not a Wendy's). Grab your wine (preferably that Sauvignon Blanc we're still hunting for) and settle in for another episode of your favorite millennials oversharing for your entertainment.
