Big position switch in the works for Dre'Mont Jones? May 11, 2024

Show notes

Looks like Dre'Mont Jones is prepping for a more permanent role as an OLB/EDGE player! According to his trainer, and with video proof to back it up, Jones is focusing on pass rush moves and coverage drops as he ramps up his workouts to get ready for training camp.

What does this mean for the roster? How well will Jones fit this role? How does it compare to what Macdonald did with Jadeveon Clowney last year in Baltimore?

And, what if it doesn't work?

2024 will be a crucial year for Jones, as the team would be able to move on before the final year of his deal in 2025 if it doesn't pan out.

Brett Kollmann from The Film Room - Breaking down the Seahawks draft.... and more! May 01, 2024

Show notes

If you've ever seen any of Brett Kollmann's content (and if you haven't, you SHOULD) you'll know what an "elite ball-knower" he is. Whether he's breaking down all-22 tape or looking at broader issues, Brett has his finger on the pulse of the entire league.

In this episode, I get to pick Brett's brain a little bit and get his thoughts on how the Seahawks did in the just-concluded draft, as well as their division opponents.

But that's NOT all! Other topics include....

The selection of Michael Penix Jr at #8 to Atlanta
Where do the QB's of the NFC West rank in regards to the league's best?
What does the selection of one particular Seahawk draft pick tell us about the style of offense Seattle intends to play?
A sleeper day 3 Seattle pick he particularly likes
And hear him gush about Seahawk legend Walter Jones....

REACTION: Seahawks select Texas DT Byron Murphy II with 16th pick Apr 26, 2024

Show notes

What if I told you the Seattle Seahawks had a chance to select the best defensive tackle in the entire draft at pick 16? Would you have stayed there and picked, or still wanted to trade down to accumulate more selections?

Well, John Schneider chose to do the former, adding Murphy to Mike Macdonald's defensive front.

What does the 21 year old have to offer? And what might the rest of the draft look like for the Hawks?

Listen in to find out - including a fresh mock draft simulating what the next two days may end up looking like when all is said and done at the draft in Detroit.
