Stephen Paddock - The Mind of a Mass MurdererOctober 1st, 2017, The Route 91 Harvest Music Festival was in full swing on Vegas Boulevard, right in front of the Luxor and across from Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. Everyone was having fun. Country singer, Jason Aldean was performing his last song of the set as the crowd of 22,000 people sang and danced along. At 10:05 P.M., amidst all the music, shots began to ring out in rapid succession. One by one, people dropped to the ground. Concert-goers rushed out in masses trying to get to safety. Ten minutes later, the gunfire stopped. Over 800 people were injured, trampled or hit by gunfire while 52 people lost their lives. “Completely Dumbfounded”Eric Paddock from Orlando, Florida was “completely dumbfounded” when he found out his brother, Stephen Paddock had gone on a shooting spree. It felt like “Mars just fell into the Earth,” he said. For him, he knew his brother as just a guy who stayed at hotels at the strip, gambled his money and attended various shows. Born in Clinton, Iowa as Stephen Craig Paddock, Stephen was the oldest of four sons by Benjamin Paddock - a bank robber who was once arrested for his crimes in 1960. After escaping prison in 1969, Benjamin Paddock was listed on the FBI’s Most Wanted List.Support the show

Mauro de Mauro Earning the nickname, “giornalista scomodo” or the “inconvenient journalist,” Mauro de Mauro was known for his fierce, left-leaning slant. He was a supporter of Benito Mussolini’s Fascist regime and continued to support the Italian Social Republic in German-governed northern Italy. From the 50s to 70s, De Mauro became a part of a group of investigative reporters at the newspaper, L’Ora, leading the way in exposing connections between the Sicilian Mafia and corrupt politicians. 4. Graziella Franchini a.k.a. Lolita Starting at a young age of 15, Graziella Franchini a.k.a Lolita was already offered a recording contract by record company Magic. The same year, Franchini joined the Pesaro Song Festival and ended up winning because of her amazing talent and charm. Not only that, her young age and beautiful looks also won her billing on various musical television programs. 3. Wilma Montesi On April 9, 1953, Wilma Montesi headed out to take a walk. When Wilma left her home, she was dressed nicely as if she was meeting someone else. She carried a bag with her but not her ID card. She didn’t wear any jewelry, not even the one her fiancé gave her. At around 5:30, several people said they saw her taking the train alone. 2. Roberto Calvi On June 18, 1982, at 7:30 AM, a postal clerk on his way to work saw the body of a man hanging from the scaffolding beneath Blackfriar’s bridge in London. The man was dressed in a gray suit, white waistcoat, and blue shirt. He had shoes and socks but no belt or tie. On his hand was an expensive wristwatch, stopped at 1:52 A.M. And in his pockets, jacket and even in his crotch area was inserted 12 pounds worth of heavy bricks. 1. Michele Sindona Born in Messina, Michele Sindona rose from his humble small-town beginnings to become a self-made millionaire. After graduating with a law degree in the University of Messina in1942, he moved to Sicily then Milan where his skill with laundering money and evading tax earned him the respect of Mafia bosses. By 1957, he was closely tied to the Gambino family in the U.S., managing funds from their heroin sales.Support the show

Along the way, she stopped at Rowes Corner Market to buy a pack of cigarettes sometime between 9-9:30 PM. Rachael was a regular customer so the clerks knew here. That night, as she headed towards the 50th block of North Main Street, she mysteriously disappeared. The oldest of four children, Raechel was a 9th grader studying at Sanborn Regional High. Whenever she was bored, she would walk the quarter-mile down to Rowe’s Corner Market, just to look for some excitement. At times, she would hang out and walk to a hill across Maple Avenue - an area where teens would often hang out.#2 Lizard Man A Seven-foot tall, scaly humanoid… the “Lizard Man” is a mysterious creature said to lurk in the swampland areas of Lee County, South Carolina.It was July 14, 1988, when the Sheriff was called in to investigate damage to a vehicle parked at a home just at the edges of Scape Ore Swamp. The car was said to have scratches with bits of hair and even toothmarks. There were also indications of muddy footprints near the vehicle. From this initial report, countless other claims started showing up describing a lizard-like creature haunting the swamp area.Support the show

The film focuses on Neil Howie, a police officer visiting the isolated island of Summerisle, after he receives an anonymous letter about the disappearance of a young girl. 1. Midsommar (2019)Midsommar is said to be the 2019 version of The Wicker Man. The film follows a group of friends who travel to a remote place in Sweden to attend a festival that happens once every 90-years. Mutilated Bulls in OregonOn July 2019, the 140,000-acre Silvies Valley Ranch reported having lost five young and healthy, Hereford purebred bulls under mysterious circumstances. They were even more mystified when they found the animals. 3. Ursula Herrmann It was September 15, 1981, the first day of the new school year. Ursula Hermann, a 10-year old German girl, returned home in Eching. Shortly after arriving, she left again to go to her gymnastics class. After the class, she headed to her cousin’s house to eat dinner. By 7:20 PM, her mother called and told Ursula she needed to get home. Although it was late, it was still light and the bike ride would only take 10 minutes. 2. Researchers Discover the Origins of Humans A group of researchers say that modern-day Botswana, just south of the Zambezi River, is where modern man first originated - calling it mankind’s “ancestral homeland.”By studying mitochondrial DNA, the genetic information passed down from the female line, researchers concluded modern humans came out of the once lush wetland in Botswana. While many scientists agree modern humans emerged from Africa, the exact location was always uncertain. 1. Lisa and Tiffany StasiLisa and Carl Stasi first met in 1983 in Alabama. Soon after, Lisa got pregnant and the two ended up marrying. On Christmas 1984, the couple had a huge fight and Karen Moore, Stasi’s aunt, took Lisa and her 4-month old, daughter, Tiffany to Hope House - a residential facility in Kansas City.Support the show

The small town, mostly comprised of Catholics, only had about 5,000 residents. #2 Mackenzie PoltergeistIt started on a cold and rainy night on December of 1998 in Scotland. A homeless man was seeking shelter from the storm when he wandered into Greyfriars Kirkyard and broke into the mausoleum of the Mackenzie family.For the man, the mausoleum served as a good shelter. He explored the inside and found an iron gate on the floor. He took it out and went downstairs, following a stone staircase until he found the second chamber. It was here where four wooden coffins were sitting. Likely hoping to steal valuables from the dead, the man broke into the caskets. But as he was breaking through, the floor underneath him collapsed and he found himself inside a third chamber that no one had known existed.Support the show

Danny would soon call Roni nearly every day. As a teenager, she decided to ghost him and ignore his calls, hoping he would take the hint. He didn’t and so Eventually, she blocked his number alltogether.2. James AllenJames Allen from New Baltimore, Michigan received 18 counts of cyberstalking including 5 counts of child pornography. Between April and August of 2012, he stalked 18 female victims using the Internet and his cellphone. Allen’s cyberstalking crime is unusual since he targeted multiple females and aimed for minors. 1. Vanessa Bruno For six whole months blogger and mother Vanessa Bruno felt trapped and tormented. Like most people, Vanessa had an online presence. She maintained a blog and often talked about her life and family there. However, for more than six months she was frightened after she was hounded by an anonymous online stalker. Initially, the person would simply comment on her blogposts but over time, the comments became more disturbing and threatening.Support the show

Frog BoysMarch 26, 1991 was a public holiday and a group of five young boys left their home in Daegu, South Korea to walk to a nearby mountain, Mount Waryong, to look for frogs. The boys, ages 9 to 13 years old, all studied at Seongseo Elementary School.
