EP04: 3 Mistakes Women Make When Dating Themselves Jan 28, 2016
    Show notes

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when I say dating + relationships?

Is it fun, excitement, something flows easily into your life?

Or do words like icky, gross, draining come to mind?

If you’re in the latter half, then this episode is for you.

I certainly didn’t invent the idea of dating myself, but I’m the only dating coach I’ve ever seen that specifically uses it as a tool to attract the relationship you desire + deserve.

In this episode, I’m going to tell you:

    • How dating myself saved me from becoming emotionally dependent on Stevie, potentially ruining our relationship. {Hint: Making someone else responsible for your happiness + emotional dependence is NEVER sustainable in relationships}
    • The 3 biggest benefits you can get from dating yourself, no matter if you’re in a relationship or single
    • Why training a marathon, watching movies, and eating healthy could be stopping you from the relationship you want

If you’re ready to have fun dating again + attract the relationship you desire, then I invite you to join my free 10-Day Date Yourself Challenge!

    02_EP02__How_To_Find_Time_To_Date.mp3 Jan 22, 2016
    Show notes

A few months ago, I asked my community what their #1 struggle was when it came to dating.

I got a lot of great insight.

But the #1 theme that kept coming up was TIME.

Busy, successful, goal-oriented women had trouble finding enough time to date.

    In today’s episode, I give you 3 tangible action steps that you can start taking TODAY to have more time to date, more time for yourself, AND still get all the important things done. {I promise - this is possible!}

But before I get to the 3 steps, I ask some tough questions that you’ll need to seriously consider.

As you listen into this episode, consider:

    • Is time REALLY the problem?
    • What in your life is important + non-negotiable?
    • What can you start saying no to?

In the comments below, I’d love your answers to the questions above. In the show, I lay out my own answers to these questions, and I think that’s gonna help you a lot come up with honest, heartfelt answers for you.

    03_EP03__How_to_Know_If_Youre_Settling_in_a_Relationship.mp3 Jan 22, 2016
    Show notes

This episode is a juicy one because I address women’s #1 fear when it comes to dating: settling.

Single women are afraid they’ll have to settle just to get into a relationship while women in a relationship may be wondering IF she’s settling.

In today’s episode, I walk through my step-by-step process you can use to help you figure out if you’re settling.

An important thing to note: not all compromise, meeting in the middle, or giving in is created equal. In fact, relationships are full of compromise.

In this episode, I’ll help you figure out what really is important to you, things you SHOULDN’T settle on, and how to figure out the things you could settle on.

This isn’t about compromising on your values, morals, or what’s important to you. You won’t be giving up a part of yourself, and there’s nothing un-feminist about the process I’ll walk you through.

After the show, in the comments below, please let me know:

    • After you went through the process, did you find that you were settling or not settling?
    • Did that surprise you?
    • How does it feel to “compromise” in this way?

    01_EP01__My_Date_Yourself_Story.mp3 Jan 22, 2016
    Show notes

Hello + welcome to my introductory podcast!

Honestly, I never thought I’d have a podcast + connect with my audience in this way, but I am so excited to, because I hope it’ll serve you in a deeper + better way than a traditional blog.

If you’re new to me, you may be wondering what the heck I’m talking about when I talk about dating myself. I certainly didn’t make up the concept of dating yourself. However, I do think my emphasis on dating yourself as a way to deepen the relationship you’re in or drastically improve your dating life is powerfully unique.

In this first episode of Date Yourself Radio, I share with you my own date yourself story. At the time I was undergoing a radical shift in my life, I didn’t really realize what I was doing. Hindsight is 20/20 in that way. But now it is crystal clear to me how once I started treating myself the way I wanted to be treated, I started attracting men who wanted to also treat me that way.

As you listen to this episode, here are some key concepts + questions to consider:

    • Think of your relationship to food, your body, and health. Is it a healthy, loving relationship or a relationship of pain, guilt, and neglect?
    • If you keep attracting emotionally unavailable men, why do you think that is?
    • What is 1 thing you could start doing TODAY that could help you treat yourself like a queen?

After you listen, in the comments below, I’d love to know: how do you treat yourself the way you want to be treated?
