EP76: How to Know What You Need and Want In Your Relationship Pt 1 Jun 29, 2017
    Show notes

I once was talking to a woman who asked me, “Why can’t I find someone who just knows what I need and want, and then do it?!”

“Well, are you telling them what you need and want?”

“No,I just think someone you’re in a relationship with should know.”

It makes me so sad that this by far is the overwhelming beliefs as to what relationships are. It’s a mix of what we thought we saw in our parents, romanticized romantic comedies, and our smart phone culture where possibly technology knows us better than ourselves.

In a relationship, you can NEVER be too clear as to what you want and need in a relationship. In fact, if a 7 year old can’t understand it, you’re not clear enough. It’s not because you or your partner are dumb, it’s because that’s what effective communication is.

But you have to start with knowing what YOU want, and that’s what today’s episode is all about. This episode is the first in a two-part series. Next week, I’ll teach you how to effectively ask for what you need/want, but first, let’s get started with you knowing what you want.

Why ending relationships is so hard (and how to do it) Jun 22, 2017
    Show notes

In this episode, I share why ending relationships is so hard. The truth is, there’s a lot of fear, shame, judgment, not to mention heartbreak and disappointment when ANY relationship ends, no matter the reason or who did the breaking up.

Which is why so many women stay in relationships long past their expiration dates.

Think about it: how often have you waited for him to break up with you? How often have you tried to pick fights or make something so unbearable that he’d HAVE to break up with you?

If you’re unsure about the relationship you’re in, or if you NEVER break up with a guy even though you know you need to, this episode is for you.

    In this episode, you’ll learn:
    • How to deal with any shame or judgment that comes up when a relationship ends
    • How to get the closure you need to move on
    • How to know if it’s time to move on from your relationship

This episode isn’t just an interview, it’s two women about to get married having a candid conversation about what real love looks like. We talk about what beliefs we had to let go of and how we soften in ways so that real love could come in.

    Here’s what you’ll learn:
    • The realities of commitment and how to balance business ownership and family life
    • how has being a business owner influenced your personal growth?
    • Self-care as a highly ambitious person and taking yourself out on dates are also things that I practice and always love to talk about.

This is such an important conversation, and as a podcast host about dating and relationships, I can’t believe it took me this long to have a women’s health expert on the show!

Even though I do focus on the inner game and the self-development that goes into relationships, knowing the “real world” stuff is so important so you can stay safe and healthy.

    Here’s what you’ll learn:
    • What HPV even is and how to know if you have it
    • The risks of HPV, including with fertility and what you can do instead
    • Natural methods to overcome HPV
