    E-113: Aggression & Culture Oct 14, 2020
    Show notes

We jump into a discussion about the early days of Ritual, and how the people around Tim and Molli perceived their growth and success. We talk about why some people are so uncomfortable with seeing other people prosper, and the similarities/differences between subcultures like the music scene and powerlifting.

    .

We also get into an important conversation about utilizing aggression in our training, talking about how being angry and full of rage doesn't always do as much good as people tend to think it does.

    .

After all, if you can't control your own emotions, then how are you going to control a bar loaded with hundreds of pounds?

    E-112: Seth & Meana Albersworth Oct 10, 2020
    Show notes

This week we are joined by the very strong Seth and Meana Albersworth

    .

Seth and Meana are both extremely strong and extremely passionate individuals, and to be completely honest they're two of my favorite people in powerlifting. They are very devoted to educating the community and the delineation of good and helpful information, as well as being incredibly accomplished lifters themselves. We get into their powerlifting careers and training history, their current training, education, their future and their newest venture Activated Performance.

    .

Seth and Meana provide some unique observations about how people get better, coaching, and genetics. Their experience alone as lifters makes this podcast valuable. The fact that they're so educated, passionate, and analytical is honestly just a pleasant bonus.

    .

Check out this podcast, do a little learning and share it with someone who needs it.

    E-110: Marcus Leoni Oct 03, 2020
    Show notes

This week we have Marcus Leoni

    .

Marcus is an elite powerlifter, a fellow coffee enthusiast, and the owner of multiple businesses. We talk about everything from powerlifting and PEDs, to owning a business and mental health. This episode was so much damn fun to do. Marcus is very knowledgeable in his pursuits and he tops it all off with being a genuinely nice and compassionate guy. He comes across as someone who is purely focused on his goals and who lets very little disrupt his pursuit of them. It's inspiring to hear, especially coming from someone as thoughtful and analytical as Marcus.

    .

As always thank you for listening. The past few weeks of the podcast have been some of best performing episodes of all time. We appreciate the support. Keep listening, keep sharing, and we will do our best to keep providing you guys with great content!

    Show notes

    .

We get into a discussion about our own training, and the importance of building consistent habits in our technique and how we setup for our lifts, rather than constantly changing up too many variables in a search for a "magic fix" to our lifting.

    108: Lindsay Gray Sep 26, 2020
    Show notes

Episode 108: This week we had the opportunity to sit down and talk with Lindsay Gray, aka @lindsayloves2lift.

    .

We talk about why cats are terrified of her, her lifting, numbers and what got her into the sport of powerlifting, along with what motivates her to keep pushing herself to be better. Not only is she strong physically on the platform, she's a mother of two daughters. Listening to Lindsay talk about the strength and energy it's taken to raise a daughter with a disability is incredible, and it really puts into perspective just how fortunate most of us are, and how much we take for granted in our lives.

    .

Her perspective on things meant a lot to us, and we sincerely hope you'll listen for yourselves.

    E-107: Ritual Of Love Sep 23, 2020
    Show notes

Episode 107: This week we get into a variety of topics. Rock of Love with Brett Michaels and reality tv, @tim_ritual's new career as a roast master, how much badass work @molliawilliams puts into making all of Ritual's custom pieces turn into reality, and @emery_mullen's weekend trip up to Norfolk, VA to coach a client at the @uspapower Shark City Classic at @sharkcitybarbell.

We talk about the importance of good meet day handling, and mistakes lifters tend to make with attempt selection. We also discuss the practice of visualization and how vital it is to be as prepared as possible both mentally and physically. This all translates into skills that are applicable to both powerlifting and other areas of life, in how we respond to less than ideal situations, on and off the platform.

    E-106: Jordan Wong Sep 19, 2020
    Show notes

This week we are joined by Jordan Wong

    .

This podcast has been a long time coming and I'm insanely stoked we got to do it in person. Jordan is hilarious, he's a coach, a personal trainer, a father, and honestly just a really cool person. Jordan talks a lot about his personal struggles with mindset, his powerlifting career, and how he aims to improve himself. Jordan is incredibly accountable to himself but whats cool about this podcast is, he wasn't always like that. He talks about his struggles, and what helped him get where he is now.

    .

Give this podcast a listen. It's funny, and it's more than valuable.

    E-104: Beth Lovatt Sep 12, 2020
    Show notes

This week on the podcast we are getting to know our newest athlete Beth Lovatt

    .

Beth is freaking strong so of course we get into that but we also talk heavily about how her lifestyle revolves around powerlifting and how she got where she is. We talk a lot about the feeling of acceptance coming into the powerlifting community, tattoos, struggling with body image, and how it feels to be at the level she is now. I had an insanely good time talking with Beth, getting the perspective of someone so far away who loves the same thing we do is incredibly valuable and relatable. We are so excited to have Beth on the team and even more excited for you guys to have this podcast to listen to and learn more about her.
