XVII: Startup Acceleration—Behind the Scenes, with VitalFlo and NIRSleep Jun 29, 2019
    Show notes

What's it like to be a healthcare startup in the IoT space? In the last of our three-part feature on RAP startups, join both VitalFlo and NIRSleep in the studio. These two startups share a behind-the-scenes description of their RAP experience plus updates on their startups.
VitalFlo's mission is to make respiratory patient management easy, reduce cost of care, and improve patient outcomes. Working with asthma patients can be hard - every patient has unique medications, allergies, and lifestyles. VitalFlo works with clinicians and patients to build a complete picture of each individuals' condition.
NIRSleep is developing and deploying a wearable sensor to measure brain activity. They use infrared light to non-invasively measure changing oxygen concentration in the user’s brain, and relate this to changes in the user’s condition. The NIRSleep system is lightweight and easy to use, opening exciting new opportunities for detecting and tracking cerebrovascular changes in real life environments (i.e non-laboratory and out-of-clinic remote monitoring).
The RIOT ACCELERATOR PROGRAM (RAP) is accepting applications through June 30th, 2019 at 5pm EST. RIoT invites early stage startups in the Internet of Things space to apply NOW to participate in the 12-week high-touch RIoT Accelerator Program.
