    Show notes

In part one of Red Eye Radio with Gary McNamara and Eric Harley, The Southern Poverty Law Center has been indicted on fraud charges for its use of paid informants to monitor and track racist organizations. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said Tuesday the indictment was handed down by a federal grand jury in Alabama, where the organization is based. The SPLC faces 11 counts including wire fraud, bank fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering. Blanche, speaking alongside FBI Director Kash Patel at a news conference, said the organization paid at least eight people, including those affiliated with violent extremist groups like the Ku Klux Klan and Nazi organizations, at least $3 million between 2014 and 2023.

Also a long-form ACLU ad raises money for illegal immigrants, the one-sided ceasefire is extended to Iran, the price of oil remains high as the Strait of Hormuz is on lockdown, audio from John Fetterman supporting Trump and the war on Iran and the racism of the Democratic party.

04-22-26 Part Two - Confirming Kevin Warsh Apr 22, 2026
    Show notes

In part two of Red Eye Radio with Gary McNamara and Eric Harley, Senator Elizabeth Warren, the ranking Democrat on the banking committee that is overseeing his confirmation, said Kevin Warsh would be little more as Fed chairman than Trump's "sock puppet". Trump has suggested that, if confirmed, Warsh would conform to his agenda and lower interest rates, which the president argues is necessary to boost the US economy. The former Fed governor said the independence of America's central bank "is essential" and vowed that he would be committed to preserving its self-governance.

Also redistricting in Texas and gerrymandering in Virginia, audio from CBS on a mayor in Kansas defying state voter laws, audio from Senator John Thune on the Republican's plan on funding DHS and a NY Post article on California residents fleeing the state and heading to Texas over elevated property taxes and a widening affordability gap.

04-21-26 Part One - Giving Peace Another Chance Apr 21, 2026
    Show notes

In part one of Red Eye Radio with Gary McNamara and Eric Harley, peace talks with Iran were expected to begin in Pakistan on Tuesday, but recent reports from Iranian state media have thrown the meetings into doubt. The fragile 2-week ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran will expire on Wednesday, and there has been no news on extending the truce. Meanwhile Iran says they will not negotiate while under threat.

Also mitigating the risk of excavating uranium, Iran's only leverage is their perspective on the US following their intentions, Democrat's disdain for a US victory over Iran, Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer leaves the Trump cabinet as Keith Sonderling takes over and Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson accused the Supreme Court majority on Monday of overstepping its role to "wordsmith" a lower court in Washington, D.C., in a pointed break from her colleagues in a Fourth Amendment case about whether a police officer had reasonable suspicion to stop a man.

04-21-26 Part Two - Omar Under the Microscope Apr 21, 2026
    Show notes

In part two of Red Eye Radio with Gary McNamara and Eric Harley, Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar responds to President Trump and the GOP charges of financial malfeasance and fraud with new financial disclosure filing. Amended filings show Rep. Omar and her husband have modest assets, not the millions reported on an initial filing.

Also Alan Dershowitz explains why he became a Republican having first registered as a Democrat in 1959 he says party’s hostility to Israel is too much and President Trump hinted this week that something sinister may lurk behind the disappearance or death of as many as 11 government workers tied to sensitive nuclear or space technology, but those close to the various investigations into the disparate cases say they see no links.

    04-20-26 Part One - Omar's "Not" Worth Apr 20, 2026
    Show notes

In part one of Red Eye Radio with Gary McNamara and Eric Harley, Gary flies solo this morning as Eric takes some personal time off.

We begin by reports that Ilhan Omar says she isn’t a multimillionaire by blaming an accounting error. President Trump has suggested the Minnesota congresswoman profited from a massive welfare fraud scandal still being investigated. Congresswoman Omar and her husband Tim Mynett have a net worth between $6 million to $30 million according to their 2025 disclosure. However disclosures from the end of 2023 showed the pair had ownership stakes that only add to the value of just above $51,000.

Also the latest on the war with Iran with audio from CBS' 60 Minutes on Iran's nuclear capabilities, hundreds of commercial tankers are stranded on both sides of the Strait of Hormuz after Iran shut the critical chokepoint on April 18, halting traffic and leaving crews trapped amid reports of gunfire and "traumatic experiences" on board. Also the "ups and downs" of negotiating with Iran, President Trump wants uranium enriched nuclear dust by sending in excavators and it's 4/20 meaning pot smokers will celebrate today along with Earth Day this Wednesday.

    04-20-26 Part Two - Schumer's Beef with FIFA Apr 20, 2026
    Show notes

In part two of Red Eye Radio with Gary McNamara and Eric Harley, Gary flies solo this morning as Eric takes some time off. We begin this hour with Sen. Chuck Schumer calling for FIFA to cover the full rail cost for New Yorkers attending the World Cup as NJ Transit train ticket prices are set for $150 to get to MetLife Stadium for matches. Schumer released a statement on Sunday calling on FIFA to pay the full fair which is astronomically higher than the regular cost to travel from Penn Station to the Meadowlands, while understanding that "FIFA is set to rake in approximately $11 billion in revenue off the tournament while New York fans are being hit with $150 NJ Transit round-trip tickets to get to the game." MetLife Stadium will host eight matches during the World Cup, including the final on July 19. The usual price is $12.90 for the Meadowlands train from Penn Station, but it will rise to $150 beginning June 13 and ending July 19.

Also Harvard's grade inflation experiment gets an "F", Bill Maher confronts Rahm Emanual on education, Democrats need a white man to "sell" their insanity, former astronaut Mark Kelly uses his "space credentials" to get his point across on school vouchers and Eric Swalwell's frivolous spending of campaign dollars.

04-17-26 Part One - The Race for Governor in California Apr 17, 2026
    Show notes

In part one of Red Eye Radio with Gary McNamara and Eric Harley, we take a look at the latest polls in the California Governor's race. The scrambled race for California governor left in the wake of Eric Swalwell’s sexual misconduct allegations isn’t officially Gov. Gavin Newsom’s mess. But it’s one that many top Democrats want him to consider trying to clean up.

Also Democrats are once again playing identity politics by wanting a "white male Christian man" to lead their party, audio from Kathy Griffin in remorse over the Eric Swalwell scandal, the national popular vote interstate compact, the price of secondary market hockey tickets, audio from Mitt Romney laying out the mid-terms, audio from CNN on President Trump's approval rating with senior voters and Gary's experience with "Independent Bob".

    04-17-26 Part Two - Hunter's Hideout Apr 17, 2026
    Show notes

In part two of Red Eye Radio with Gary McNamara and Eric Harley, embattled former first son Hunter Biden has reportedly moved out of the United States amid mounting legal issues, just a year after his father left the presidential office in 2025. It remains unclear where the first son of former President Joe Biden has relocated. However, the 56-year-old previously indicated late last year that he had been visiting Cape Town in South Africa, where his wife, Melissa Cohen Biden, is originally from. Rumor has it that he is hold up in a posh mansion somewhere in northern California.

Also audio from a congressional hearing on the Eric Swalwell scandal, audio from Tulsi Gabbard on the 2019 impeachment of President Trump and the majority of golf fans and viewers are conservative.

04-16-26 Part One - Swalwell Scandal Intensifies Apr 16, 2026
    Show notes

In part one of Red Eye Radio with Gary McNamara and Eric Harley, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt slammed Democrats on Wednesday over mounting sexual assault allegations against former Rep. Eric Swalwell, questioning what they knew and why no one spoke out sooner. Swalwell announced Monday that he would step down from the House after four women came forward accusing the longtime congressman of assault. The mounting allegations, which ultimately derailed his political future, followed his decision to exit California’s 2026 gubernatorial race just a day earlier.

Also Justice Sonia Sotomayor apologizes for ‘hurtful’ public comments about Brett Kavanaugh on immigration, millions across 1,000 miles in path of triple threat as parade of severe weather continues through weekend and comedian Dave Chappelle called out Republicans in a new interview with NPR, accusing members of the political party of “weaponizing” transgender jokes.

    04-16-26 Part Two - A Ticket to Ride Apr 16, 2026
    Show notes

In part two of Red Eye Radio with Gary McNamara and Eric Harley, a jury has found that concert giant Live Nation and its Ticketmaster subsidiary had a harmful monopoly over big concert venues, dealing the company a loss in a lawsuit over claims brought by dozens of states. A Manhattan federal jury deliberated for four days before reaching its decision on Wednesday in the closely watched case, which gave fans the equivalent of a backstage pass to a business that dominates live entertainment in the U.S. and beyond.

Also New York Gov. Kathy Hochul and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani are proposing a tax on second homes of the ultrawealthy who own posh property in New York City but are not residents and a list of states that have no income tax.
