REST is Essential. Dec 15, 2020
    Show notes

"Essential" has been a buzzword in 2020! Today we discuss why Rest is indeed Essential. We are living in a very fast paced society that is saturated by this "hustle culture" and "team no sleep" etc. If you talk to almost anybody, you’ll see that just about everybody is so busy, we wear business as badges of honor and often brag about the lack of sleep. BUT, if we’re not careful & intentional, we can skip rest, ending up down, depleted, and burnt out.
Matthew 11:28-30 "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Don't Forget to Tell God Thank You! Nov 22, 2020
    Show notes

Don't Forget to Tell God Thank You! Because of the year that we’ve had, it could be easier to forget about telling God thank you and forget to express our praise & gratitude to Him. The question of the day: Is thanksgiving an opportunity to to express gratitude one day in a year or a reminder to us to be thankful every day of the year? I believe you know the answer. I want to encourage you to practice expressing gratitude on a consistent basis. It's a mood changer and mood booster. Enjoy this sermon & Happy Thanksgiving.

3 Action points from the sermon: Text Luke 17:11-19 Jesus Heals 10 Lepers

    1. Be interruptible: God wants to use you to bring Him glory, but you must be interruptible and open to all that God wants to do in & through you
    2. Be Loud for Jesus: In your life, conversations, spheres of influence (work\school, etc) social media point others to Christ.
    3. Be Grateful: There has been so much to complain about this year, but there is a lot to be grateful for as well…The fact that you still have breath in your body means that God isn’t done with you yet and that my friend is more than enough to be grateful for …So Don’t Forget to tell God Thank You

    Some Do's & Don'ts of Social Media Nov 08, 2020
    Show notes

So, there’s a bad side to Social Media: unhealthy comparison, cyber bullying, arguments, & much more. There’s a good side to it as well: celebrating collectively with birthdays, graduations, weddings and a place to stay connected, do business, and do ministry.
In our conversation today we’re going to talk about effectively & productively using social media while addressing some the pitfalls to avoid as well. We even talk a little about "The Social Dilemma" the Netflix documentary that sounds the alarm on the dangerous human impact of social networking.
