    Rare but Real

Young women have been growing up with an indoctrination of what womanhood is and what it should be. They’ve been taught everything that is in direct opposition to the Word of God. Young women who want to be different from the world are rare but they are real. Audrey Broggi will often be joined by her daughter and her daughters-in-law who desire to be discerning in a day when everything seems to go against God’s design.

    Our Bodies Apr 29, 2025
    Show notes

Do you see your body as God sees it? The way we view our bodies affects everything we do with and to them – from the food we eat and don't eat - to the exercises we do - to the skincare, makeup, the clothes we wear, and even to the clothes we don't wear. This week's podcast is the first in a few episodes looking at God's view of our bodies. I hope as you listen, you will have a better understanding of your body and also, something very tangible you can teach your children and younger women in your life. Our bodies are very important to the Lord.

Catching Up with Luke Apr 01, 2025
    Show notes

This week on the podcast, you will hear from our second grandchild, Luke. He is 17 and a junior at Mt. Paran Christian School in Marietta, Georgia. His mom is Maureen, one of the RBR girls, and his dad is my second son, Jordan. It was such a treat for me to interview him for the podcast. As with Jack, I hope you boy moms enjoy listening and that you are encouraged as you raise your teenage boys. We talked about his growing up years, how his parents and siblings continue to shape him, godly influences in his life, preparing for his future, and how God guides him through His word.

Proverbs 16:9 "The mind of man plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps."

Catching Up With Jack Mar 25, 2025

This week on the podcast, you will hear my conversation with our oldest grandchild, Jack. He is 18 and a freshman at UGA. His mom is Maureen, one of the RBR girls, and his dad is my second son, Jordan. I asked Jack if I could interview him and he graciously agreed! I hope you moms of boys especially enjoy listening and that you are encouraged. His energy and excitement are contagious! We talked about so many things on this episode - his growing up years, how his mom and dad both shaped him and instilled 2God's truth in him and how that has guided him thus far. At this stage of my life, I am especially encouraged by the young generation God is raising up – those who know Him and love Him. God is so very kind. Psalm 100:5 "For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting and His faithfulness is to all generations."

Encourage Men as Leaders Mar 18, 2025
    Show notes

In January, my daughter asked me to share 1 Timothy 3:11 with a group of women in Raleigh, North Carolina. As I walked through the qualifications for deacons' wives, I shared some principles for ALL wives. Husbands need wives in ways that they might not fully understand. God calls men to lead, provide, and protect. Sometimes they do that as pastors, shepherds, elders, and/or deacons in the church, but all of them do it as leaders of their families. However, leadership extends far beyond just their families. Men lead by example in their churches, in their communities, and in their jobs. They are mentors and role models to young boys growing up all around them. They are strong and protective warriors for the young girls growing up all around them. Men lead even if they don't have official positions and they need women to help them in these roles. I trust that this podcast will encourage you to encourage them.

    A Conversation With Dorothy Mar 04, 2025
    Show notes

It is a highlight of my week to record podcasts with my grandgirls. This week you get to hear from our 11-year-old granddaughter, Dorothy. Having these conversations with my children's children remind me of Psalm 78:5b-6 "That they should teach them to their children, That the generation to come might know, even the children yet to be born, That they may arise and tell them to their children ..." How encouraging it is for me to chat with her and I trust you are encouraged as well.

This week I caught up with our 13-year-old granddaughter, Ruth. She shares how she came to know the Lord, when the gospel clicked for her, how she prays Scripture, what she loves about weightlifting with her dad, how she helps younger children, qualities she admires in her sisters, and her favorite things to do when she has free time. What a delightful conversation!
