    Show notes

    (00:00-28:56) – Jake Query opens up the week by reacting to the NBA draft lottery and the Pacers losing out on retaining their draft pick. He explains how the sun rose up today regardless and that the Pacers had to take a big swing to get a center. He also writes the script for an Indiana Pacers 30 for 30 down the line.

    (28:57-35:56) – Jake takes calls from listeners of the show to hear their reaction to the Pacers' draft pick falling out of the top 4.

    (35:57-48:36) – Jake remembers trades of past Pacer teams that included trading for a big man. He explains that while it's frustrating, it has precedent.

    (48:37-1:13:49) – Jake gives details on some giveaways coming up during the show, then takes a call from Paulie to check in how he's doing and how he feels about the Pacers.     (00:00-26:39) – Query & Company opens a Friday with Jake Query and producer Eddie Garrison discussing how Jake spoke something into existence yesterday unintentionally and it leads to a conversation about things that Jake needs to speak into existence for good luck. They also touch more on the Kenny Moore II release from yesterday and explain why Daniel Jones has to be the player that goes up on the side of Lucas Oil Stadium now.

    (26:39-37:13) – Ramona Shelburne from ESPN wrote a story about Darryn Peterson going to the hospital earlier this year because of severe cramping. Jake touches on the story because it kind of explains some of the playing time inconsistencies in the early portion of the season for the Jayhawks.

    (37:13-49:14) – The first hour of Query & Company concludes with Jake and Eddie diving more into Darry Peterson with the NBA Draft Lottery this weekend. Would he be the player that Indiana selects second if they receive that pick?

    (00:00-23:43) – Query & Company opens a Thursday with Jake Query and producer Eddie Garrison declaring it a Baskin Robbins Thursday because of the history that was made 31 years ago today. They also start previewing the Indiana Fever season by highlighting how the team should be better defensively this season with the veteran additions and bringing back seven players from last season’s roster.

    (23:43-38:46) – The NBA Draft Lottery is quickly approaching. Does Jake think that the Pacers could be open to trading their pick if they get the third or fourth selection?

    (38:46-45:35) – The first hour of Query & Company concludes with Jake and Eddie giving away a pair of tickets for a listener to go see Little Feat later this year!

It leads to a discussion about the Indiana Pacers draft expectations based off of what pick they secure in the lottery, hopefully.

    (23:03-33:23) – Indy Ignite Head Coach Lauren Bertolacci joins Jake Query to discuss the thrilling ride this season has been so far in her first season with the Ignite playing in the Pro Volleyball Federation Championship tomorrow night. They discuss the challenges that their opponent, Omaha Supernovas, will bring after facing off four times in the regular season and discuss if there is a difference between regular season volleyball and postseason volleyball.

    (33:23-45:06) – The first hour of Query & Company concludes with Jake Query realizing that he didn’t tell Eddie the truth yesterday when he helping Eddie out with a project.     IHSAA Shot Clock Proposal Fails but Public Branding Activities Proposal Approved! Paul Neidig, James Boyd, Scott Agness Join! May 05, 2026

    (00:00-24:58) – Query & Company opens a Monday with Jake Query welcoming 1986 Indianapolis 500 winner and Co-Owner of Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, Bobby Rahal, onto the program to promote the upcoming documentary that will air Friday on FS1. Jake also asks him about how he is feeling about his team going into the Sonsio Grand Prix and Indianapolis 500 and how he is doing from a health standpoint at this point of his life.

    (24:58-41:24) – IHSAA Commissioner Paul Neidig joins Query & Company to discuss the Board of Directors decision to approve the ability for student-athletes to conduct personal branding activities. He explains what is and is not allowed when it comes to school affiliation with PBA. Plus, Neidig shares some information on why it isn’t that big of a deal that the basketball shot clock proposal failing.
