Why You Should Buy From Trading Companies in China Jun 18, 2019
    Show notes

Sourcing products from China for your Private Label business sometimes could be a lot easier and cheaper by using trading companies. There's a myth out there that the trading companies are more expensive, when the reality is that, even tho they markup the price they get, they can often get price much lower from the manufacturer that we can. Why should you deal with trading companies when sourcing from China? Everybody out there is teaching the exact same thing. When you go to source for products, go to Alibaba, make sure you're dealing with the manufacturer. You're not dealing with trading companies. There are gurus and courses that teach you how to find out if certain companies are trading companies or if they are the official manufacturer. Now, dealing with the manufacturer is a good thing, I'm not saying it's a bad thing. But sometimes, it is more profitable, better and easier to go to a trading company. Let me tell you why. Number one reason is trading companies can get better pricing than the manufacturer will give you in most cases. The reason being is because these trading companies deal with the Chinese factories at a bigger level than most sellers can so they can get better pricing. On top of that, they speak the same language. They are from same area so they know exactly what something should or could cost. Therefore, it's easier for them to get better pricing from the beginning. Then, of course, they are gonna mark this up. They're gonna markup the products but even with the markup, test it. Make sure you test this. Don't just take my word for it. Even with the markup, you may get better deals. That's number one. Number two is some of the bigger and official trading companies, because you're still gonna make sure that this company is official just like you do when you're looking for manufacturers. You want the manufacturer that has been around, the ones that are bidding on Alibaba for many years. Same thing with the trading company. Now, these trading companies, in most situations, have their own freight forwarders. You are allowed to use your freight forwarders in certain situations. That's something that you don't have to worry about, and it would be included on the price. It's a one-stop-shop, kind of. Alright? That is another one. Three, is some of the good, and again, I have to make sure that I say the good trading companies, have done the inspections themselves. When you get the products from them, and because they want you to be a recurring customer, they have done the inspection themselves 'cause they know how the things work, so when they buy, they've done the inspection, and they can include that inspection also at the same cost to you. One more is the fact that if you want to do bundles, if you go directly to the manufacturer, let's say, if you are, I don't know, you're selling tuques and you wanna bundle it, tuque with socks, a tuque, a pair of socks, and a scarf, if your manufacturer is exclusively making tuques, now you would have to go deal with other factories to get everything together. When dealing with a trading company, you can get bundles of anything you want. You can get a tuque mixed with Bluetooth speakers. You can get a silicone spatula mixed with, I don't know, chicken wings. Whatever you could think of, they will do it for you. They will get the packaging done for you. Now, we're talking about professional trading companies, of course, not the Mom-and-Pop shop. Make sure you look for a trading company, a good trading company, to do the test. Like I said, don't just take my word for it. Find a good trading company, get pricing, and ask these questions. "Next time I place an order, will you also discount all the bad ones I received?" If there were returns, refunds if they will do that for you. Make sure that it will have an inspection or the inspection to take off for themselves, you wanna see those reports, you wanna see those inspections. Make sure you can do the bundles, and ask them for the pricing, and then compare that pricing with others. Just to finalize this, when you go to a good trading company, contact them and ask them, "What would this product cost, or this plus this?" Whatever, if you wanna, build a bundle, "What would it cost delivered to my door with all customs taken care of, and inspection done, everything included?" So you don't have to worry about anything, right? You place the order, and that is done. You don't have to worry about anything else. Plus, they still deal with Alibaba so you can make sure that your money is safe. You can do the same 30/70. Plus, a lot of these trading companies, as soon as you get bigger and bigger, of course, they will allow you to do some terms and that could be really beneficial for you. If you get 30-day terms, that means you only have to pay for your order 30 days after they make it, or depending on how the terms are set, it could be 30 days after they ship it, which is even better because the time from when they make it to the time they ship it is different. With all this said, I want you to remember that buying from the manufacturer can still be really good or could still be better than a lot of trading companies because if you had built a relationship with the manufacturers, that's number one. You have to build a relationship. Also, you need to have enough quarter quantities that the price is gonna come down. While a trading company can get that same price that, for 500 units, they will get probably the same price for a thousand units, two thousand because, as I said, they are local. Do your homework, go out there, do a few tests, and then let me know what you think. That's it for now. Remember, start grateful, stay positive, and always profit.

How Many Hours Per Day to Run My Amazon Business Jun 11, 2019
    Show notes

I put in 2 hours per day into my Amazon business, is this enough to make it a profitable business that will allow me to quit my job? Excellent question and the answer is not going to be straight forward like you expected. How bad do you really want to grow this business? Number one thing I ask is what are you doing the other 22 hours per day? How much do you need to make in order to quit your job? You need to know that when you make 10K per month, that means you are taking home 2500 or 3000, and if you do use that amount, next month your business will not be able to make 15k or 20k, because you took money out and stopped the growth.

Top 7 Mistakes of Amazon FBA Sellers Jun 10, 2019
    Show notes

Today I bring you the top 7 mistakes of Amazon FBA Sellers #1 – Not knowing the costs This is my biggest pet peeve when it comes to selling onlineMost Amazon FBA sellers think they have huge margins but, they have not taken into consideration all the costs associated with selling online. I often hear people say something like: “I am selling a product for $8 but I’m getting 60% margins” This is nearly impossible! Just think about it, Amazon takes 15% of your gross, then you have $3 of pick and pack fees (unless you are in small and light) That right there is almost 40% and if you add the 15% commission you realize Amazon is taking already 65%. Then you need to account for the price of purchasing the item, let's say its $1 to make things simple and another $1 to ship it to the US and clear customs. Your total costs so far are already over $6 and you didn’t even account for the PPC, returns, taxes, giveaways (if you are doing any), your packaging, photography or 3D rendering, Logo design to put on the package… Man, you may be losing a couple of bucks every time you sell an item! Here is my advice, if you are selling a cheap item like that, try to bundle 2 or 3 so you can skip the pick and pack fee and only pay it once, or try to make it a premium looking product and sell it for $12 instead of $8 #2 – Sourcing the same products as everyone else Most people have listened to the same podcasts or youtube videos from sellers like me who have been selling on Amazon for many years. But what worked for us in 2015 is not what works in 2019. If everyone is sourcing a small product, without moving parts, that is unbreakable, is in the top 1000 BSR… that means out of the 4 million sellers and thousands of new ones coming in every day, it's almost sure that at the same time you are sourcing a new product, so are 100 other sellers. When this happens the only difference is going to be the brand name and probably the logo on the box. Think outside the box, and if possible source products that instead of being cheap and have a very low BSR, are a bit more expensive or have a higher BSR with low competition. You can be the big fish in the smaller pond, instead of a guppy in the ocean, because everyone can eat you at any time. #3 – Assuming and believing We all are part of Facebook groups and masterminds where often sellers share something they hear as if it was true, without testing it. Test things for yourself! I know it is a bit more time consuming, but just because someone says for example “Giveaways don’t work anymore” It doesn’t mean its true. It could be that that person didn’t give away enough units, or used the wrong URL if they even used a special URL for the giveaway. It could be that that person didn’t even do giveaways, and is just firing it out of their mouth to sound smart. Or it could even be, that they have a product without any demand! There are people that have products so bad, that not even for free they can give them away! And, instead of listening to the market they just blame the giveaway or the FB group they used or blame the cat or the dog… I’m not saying that giveaways are as effective has they used to be, and this is not even about giveaways… It is about believing everything you hear without testing. #4 – Asking for a review before starting a conversation After a client buys from you, you’re allowed to email them internally or by using a tool to do it automatically. If your first email after the purchase is something like “thanks for buying my Bluetooth speaker set waterproof 4.1 works with iPhone, Samsung smartphone, tablet great sounding wireless best headset” Please leave me a review. number one, that sounds completely automated, never use the full title in your email. number two, always mention their first name. Number 3, what’s in it for them? We know we can't incentivize, but you can surely offer some value or ask them a question. If you ask a question, they will be more likely to reply to you. And when they do, you have started a conversation and people now are 80% more likely to take an action you ask them to. Questions that work very well are: The Bluetooth speaker was shipped to Beverly Hills, is that still your current address? this is something that will get them answering because it is in their interest After they answer, you can have your VA or yourself reply manually like they are talking to a person in real life. “Awesome, that is a place I always wanted to visit. Thank you so much for confirming and I hope you love your Speaker as much as I do. Oh and btw if you have a second can you please leave me a review, it would make my day You already opened communication, so not only they are more likely to leave one, it's more than likely going to be a good one. And if they have an issue they will email you back, instead of jumping into a 1-star review. #5 – Optimizing listings for the Algorithm Most sellers are still using the 2016 method of writing the listings for the Algorithm instead of writing them to the buyer. It is true that the algorithm is the one that is going to rank you, but it will not buy from you. The algorithm will rank you according to how relevant your product is to a certain keyword. And that is measured by how many people convert to your listing after searching for that particular keyword. You can trick the algorithm temporarily with giveaways to a super URL, but in no time it will bring you back down if the real buyers are not converting. #6- Wrong Amazon FBA Category When listing your products always make sure you are listing in the correct category. There are a couple of reasons why: Some people do category search, and if your product isn’t there you won’t be seenAnother reason is for ppc, the keywords need to be relevant, or else you won’t get enough impressions. There used to be a trick used by some sellers that was, listing in the wrong category so they could get the best seller badge, but Amazon’s algorithms are getting smarter and now those products start losing ranking and have to pay extra for ppc And on top of that, sometimes your product can be relevant to more than one category, and Amazon will automatically place you in more than one 7 – Focus on BSR BSR means nothing, and it changes hundreds of times throughout the day. What matters is the organic ranking of each keyword on Amazon FBA

7 Tips For Entrepreneurs To Stay Focused And Get More Stuff Done May 13, 2019
    Show notes

Most entrepreneurs struggle with staying focused on a task until it is complete.Today I am going to reveal to you some of the tricks I use in order to keep my focus and get stuff done. 1 – Have a Good Rest Make sure you are well rested, humans, focus ability is at its peak the first few hours after having a 7-hour sleep. So, make sure you get your beauty sleep in order to keep your brain energized in top performance. 2 – Hydrate your brain. Drink lots of water! Most people say they can’t function until they get their coffee, and that is true, but most of the cases it’s not even because of the caffeine. It is because your brain needs water and lots of it. So when you get your morning coffee, before even drinking water, that is where the body will take the water from, to feed the brain. Remember that your brain on its own burns 20% of your calories, so by keeping a super active brain and body you can even shred a few pounds. Also, remember to drink lots of water throughout the day, and fill up before bed so you allow your brain to dream. 3 – Create a Schedule Most people still have a job and a boss to answer to, and that is fine. But, you are limited to the schedule that they give you, for example, 9 to 5. So, after 5 and until 11 you should schedule your own work. Write down what tasks you need or want to do. Don’t worry about the order yet, because when you first write down the tasks, normally people write down what they thought of first, but it's not necessarily the most important or the most urgent task. After you write them down, look through them and see if there is one task that needs to be done before you start any other, and make it a priority. Then filter the rest of the tasks and see what are the most urgent ones of the leftover tasks and number them all. Since I am a PC guy I use a free Microsoft app on my laptop called “Microsoft To Do” 4 – Perform one task at a time Most people think they are good at multitasking or that they need to multitask, but the reality is that humans are not meant to multitask. When you start multitasking 2 things could happen: - You perform all tasks with half the quality and the attention - without even knowing it, you are allowing your brain to think of more than one thing at a time, therefore it can wander away and start thinking about bills, or Game of Thrones, or even about how hungry you are. Look at your task list and go one by one performing that task and scratching it out when you are done. Scratching out a complete task feels great and it will give you an injection of endorphins, just as if 1000 people liked your Facebook profile pic. There is a book I recommend you reading about performing one task at a time, and it’s called “The One Thing” If you can’t focus enough to read it, get the audio version, or listen to it for free on Youtube. 5 – Listen to Alpha waves I often turn on YouTube on a separate page, search for “focus Music” and you will find 3 to 8 hour long videos of Alpha Wave sounds, that are meant to stimulate your brain into staying focused. These videos normally don’t have ads so you will not be interrupted. Most people I tell to try this have experienced awesome results 6 – Take frequent breaks There’s research that has proven that the human attention span is decreasing over the years. So if you are performing long tasks, after a while you start losing your focus on that task and your mind starts wandering. There’s a thing called the Pomodoro technique, that says you should take a 5-minute break every 20 minutes, and by doing so, after 5 minutes you can increase your production enough to off-balance the 5 minutes you were not working. You can even download the Pomodoro app on your laptop as a chrome extension and it will tell you when to work and when to take a break. 7 – Try Intermittent Fasting This is something I’ve been doing for a couple of months to increase brain activity and focus, and not only I am super surprised with the results, but I also have lost 30 pounds. My cool pants fit me again, and I can get more stuff done in a short period of time. What else could I ask for? I downloaded a free app to track my fasting times and weight and it also gives me health tips of what I can and cannot do in Intermittent Fasting Those are my 7 tips for entrepreneurs to stay focused and get more stuff done Start Grateful, Stay Positive, and Always Profit
