    Problematic Women

Conservative women are “Problematic Women.” We are proud to be pro-life, pro-family, and pro-traditional American values. Because we don’t fit the left’s version of what a feminist should be, we have been labeled PROBLEM and we have embraced the title.

There’s a Solution to Police Abuse, But It’s Not Defunding Police Departments Jun 11, 2020
    Show notes

The majority of America's police officers are brave men and women who make sacrifices and take risks every day to keep our communities safe, but incidents of misconduct do occur. Defunding America’s police departments would not solve the issue of police abuse, but limiting the power of police unions would allow for needed reforms.

Rachel Greszler, a research fellow at The Heritage Foundation, joins “Problematic Women” to discuss her new piece untitled, “Confronting Police Abuse Requires Shifting Power From Police Unions.”

Police unions have made it extremely challenging for police chiefs to fire or adequate reprimand officers for poor behavior or abuse of power. Control of police departments must be taken away from unions and placed back in the hands of the police chiefs who know their communities and officers best.

Also on today’s show, we share Rachel del Guidice’s recent conversation with Star Parker, founder of the Center for Urban Renewal and Education. Parker explains why America is not inherently racist.

Plus, Katrina Trinko joins us for a timely discussion regarding author J.K. Rowling and her recent tweet that defies political correctness. Enjoy the show!

Why Conservative Should Be Leading the Civil Rights Movement Jun 05, 2020
    Show notes

“Conservatives should be leading the civil rights movement,” says Kay C. James, President of The Heritage Foundation. Conservatives have the solutions to solve much of the racial inequalities and injustices present in America today.

James joins the podcast to explain that the answers to many of the issues plaguing the African American community, such as poverty, lack of access to good healthcare, and poor education systems, are issues conservatives have the viable solutions for.

We also talk with sisters Deana Bass Williams and Dee Dee Bass Wilbon, co-founders of Bass Public Affairs about how America can move forward together after the killing of George Floyd and why prayer is truly our most powerful tool right now. And as always we will crown our Problematic Women of the Week.

One Woman’s Story of Unwittingly Furthering the Sexual Revolution May 28, 2020
    Show notes

Sue Ellen Browder, author of “Subverted: How I Helped the Sexual Revolution Hijack the Women's Movement,” was a writer for Cosmopolitan magazine during the sexual revolution.

It was not until years later that she realized how the sexual revolution had strategically targeted the women’s movement to alter its message from female empowerment and opportunity to sexual freedom without morality.

Browder joins "Problematic Women” to tell her story in her own words. Also, be sure to check out The Daily Signal's recently released documentary telling the inside story of Browder’s work at Cosmo.

Plus, interior designer Robin Stroebel joins the show to discuss how occupational-licensing reform would provide job opportunities for more women and cut red tape for small-business owners. And, as always, we will be crowning our Problematic Woman of the Week.

    Show notes

States across America are weighing the decision of whether or not to reopen their economies. Some—such as Georgia and Florida—have few restrictions in place now and have allowed businesses to reopen, while others—among them Connecticut and Michigan—continue to limit economic activity.

Jessica Anderson, the executive director of Heritage Action for America, the lobbying arm of The Heritage Foundation, and a former member of the Trump administration, joins "Problematic Women” to explain why states should allow Americans to get back to work as soon as possible. Anderson also breaks down the costs of state bailouts and why they would do more harm than good.

Melanie Israel, research associate in the DeVos Center for Religion and Civil Society at The Heritage Foundation, also joins the show to share the latest news regarding whether or not abortions should be deemed an "essential" medical procedure during COVID-19.

Phyllis Schlafly’s Daughter Tells the True Story Hulu’s ‘Mrs. America’ Chose to Ignore Apr 23, 2020
    Show notes

The Hulu mini series, “Mrs. America” depicts the work of Phyllis Schlafly to stand against the women’s movement and its push to pass the Equal Right Amendment (ERA).

The series perfectly captures Schlafly’s hair style and clothing choices but fails to accurately depict the conservative matriarch’s kindness and strength as she rallied wives and mothers across American in the fight against the ERA.

Today on Problematic Women we welcome Anne Schlafly Cori, Phyllis Schlafly daughter, to the show to find out the true story behind the ERA fight, who Phyllis Schlafly really was, and what the Hulu series got right and what it did not.

We also talk with Kirsten Hasler, Executive Director of Eagle Forum’s D.C. office, about carrying on Schlafly’s legacy. And as always we will be crowning our Problematic Woman of the week.
