If you want to build a big micro school, listen to today’s Preschool All Stars story: Heather Hauser was a preschool teacher who got a building at the beginning of the Covid pandemic and worried how she was going to fill her classes. Once she saw the need for classes from Pre-K through 5th grade, she created a micro school to help all the students who didn’t want to return to in-person learning in the public school. After attending Joy’s summit, Heather knew that her own preschool was exactly what she wanted. She even got a building, but she was concerned that she could fill enough preschool spots at the height of the pandemic to pay the rent on the new building she had just procured.

With the help of Joy and the Preschool All Stars, Heather came up with the idea to branch out to kindergarteners too. And once she found out her kids would not be returning to in-person schooling, that gave her the idea to make homeschool pods for kids all the way up to 5th grade. She has a master's degree in early childhood education and she's the founder of JD Educational and the creator of the Facebook page Easy Preschool Activities. (PAS) Quit Your ESL Job When You Start a Preschool - with Melinda Williams Apr 01, 2021

If you want to quit your ESL job, listen to today’s Preschool All Stars story: Melinda Williams was a middle school teacher on the verge of burnout who was running out of options. She had come home to be with her son but needed an extra income, so she taught ESL in the middle of the night. Exhausted, she decided to start a preschool instead and enrolled 16 students in just one month so she could leave her ESL job behind! Listen in to discover how you can quit your ESL job, too!

Preschool All Stars helped Melinda by showing her it was possible to take control of her own life. She didn't have to wake up at crazy hours and teach for another company, making less than she was worth. She could now decide when and how she wanted to teach, and she could set her own prices.

Melinda is now moving into a house that will accommodate her new adventure, a Pre-K-6th grade homeschool group. She already has families signed up and a plan that will let her make great money while also being home to homeschool her first child and care for her new baby!
