    339. Confidence Code #2: How To Silence Your Inner Critic May 10, 2022
    Show notes

Just because you have a belief about yourself, what you're capable of, and what other people have over you, it doesn't mean that it's true. It's critical to start to evaluate the thoughts that we hold about ourselves and what's possible, instead of just accepting them as fact. Coming to terms with this idea has completely transformed my confidence and helped me turn down the volume on my harsh inner-critic. In part two of the Confidence Code series, I'm sharing three concrete practices that have helped me to rewire my thoughts to be more empowering and in alignment with my dreams. I talk about breaking the cycle of my insecurities, how beliefs get formed, and the changes that I've noticed in myself since embarking on this thought work journey.

In this episode we talk about:

    • Noticing the emotions in your body when your negative voice chimes in
    • Learning more about how the brain works
    • Filling your mind with thoughts and reminders of the new beliefs that you want to cultivate
    • What my negative inner dialogue sounds like when it pops up
    • Resources that have helped me on my confidence journey

    333. It Doesn't Matter Where You Start, Just Start Apr 19, 2022
    Show notes

April 25th, 2022 marks five years since I released Powerhouse Woman and it feels incredible to look back on how much this community has grown since then. As I'm approaching this anniversary, I'm noticing a theme that's coming up in the groups that I'm involved in and retreats that I've hosted recently. So many women have this undeniable feeling inside that they're meant for more, but maybe they're pushing up against confusion on where to start, what the right step is, or even feeling paralyzed by the thought of making the wrong choice. I know those thought patterns all too well, and in today's episode, I'm sharing four tips that helped me take that big leap five years ago and just start. I share how to build your confidence, breathwork exercises that help me gain clarity, and ways to capitalize on your skillset.

In this episode we talk about:

    • How to tap into your bigger vision and get moving in the right direction
    • My journey with starting this podcast
    • Why it's more important to take the first step instead of waiting for the perfect time to start
    • Deciding if you prefer to dip your toes in the water, or cannon ball into the deep end
    • Sitting with the question, "What do I really want to do?"
    • Being honest about where you tend to take yourself out of the game
    • Figuring out what you can monetize

    331. If Your Dream Opportunity Showed Up Today, Would You Be Ready? Apr 12, 2022
    Show notes

If you had your absolute dream opportunity show up in front of you today, would you be ready for it? Or have you unintentionally been keeping yourself and your business small, waiting for some arbitrary time in the future where you'll feel more ready, or when someone else will validate that you're enough? This is something that came up for me recently when my name was being tossed around for a huge speaking opportunity, and I had the chance to fulfill a major dream of mine.

I didn't land the gig, but it made me realize that I need to make myself more visible and chase what I know I was put on this earth to do. I discuss overcoming the fear of being perceived as 'too much' or 'full of yourself,' and share a really great way to reframe those thoughts that my friend Patrice Washington came up with. So, are you in a position to take that opportunity and run with it? Listen in if you're ready to get there.

In this episode we talk about:

    • Where this question sprung up for me
    • How I need to be intentional about building the platform that is required for the speaking engagements that I want
    • The thought work that has to happen in order to dream bigger
    • Ways that you can put yourself in a position to say 'yes' to your next opportunity
    • Living a regret-free life
