Stay ConnectedAmanda and John, friends for over 20 years, come together to discuss all things Sex and the City (and SATC adjacent!). Join us as we lovingly snark along with each episode, and feel all those feels from the early 2000’s. The fashion, the storylines, the friendships, the MEN. Some are outdated, but so many more are just timeless!

We have arrived at the end of this iconic first season of AJLT. Completely bonkers, disjointed, and written with little recollection of the source material, but iconic nonetheless. We barely touch base with about four of our new main characters, yet Bobby freaking Lee gets a full story arc. We don’t even SEE Seema!
It’s coming up on the one year anniversary of Big’s death, and Carrie is wondering what to do with his ashes while taking signs from a lamp that won’t stop flickering. Classic Big…Carrie’s happy, time to swoop in and shit all over it! Charlotte and Harry really hit a new low at allowing their child to just walk all over them when Rock decides they don’t want to identify as ANYTHING, even her own ethnicity. And the AJLT team somehow manages to find the one song ever that can make Sara Ramirez’s voice sound only “really good”. Miranda is on her way to L.A. with Che, and we have a feeling this will not be quite as fabulous as the L.A. episodes in the OG series. Either way, AJLT Season One, you may leave the stage….for now!
See you all next week for Sex and the City S2 E1 “Take Me Out to the Ballgame”!

Happy Memorial Day to all! This week we celebrate the opening of Something About Her Sandwich Shop, The "Jo of it all" in the VPR universe, and the lawsuit between Rachel and Tom/Ariana (GO AWAY, RACHEL!). North West performed at the Hollywood Bowl and WE ARE BLAMING THE PARENTS. What a travesty. Mostly the costume. Grey's Anatomy continues to slog on, this week teaching us the lesson of organ donation, and John is SHOOK by the lines at In N' Out and how people need to learn that there are other people in this line besides them. Also, Rachel Leviss isn't the only one "going rogue", as Miss Peaches returns after a HARROWING visit to a construction site. Enjoy!!!

This week, Amanda returns from Saskatchewan and John returns from a trip to the Theatre to chat about the most important topics of the week! The Wicked Trailer finally dropped (John does NOT like one-word titles), The Vanderpump Rules reunion aired its Part 1 and we have some hits and misses in the fashion department, we celebrate the Queens of All Stars 9, and Grey's Anatomy continues to rock Amanda's world. In Tiktok news, "Possibly in Michigan" is trending, Miss Peaches continues to kill it in Miami, and who the heck is that baby who stans the Four Seasons, Orlando? At least its an ACTUAL hotel this time (sorry Giuliani)! Enjoy!!!

Grab your favorite pint of ice cream and change into your comfiest sweat pants, because its THAT TIME OF MONTH! Today we all get to experience the biggest joy of womanhood: tampons and periods. Lily is ready to try her first tampon in the middle of a Jewish dinner with Anthony and his anti-semetic beau, but putting in a. tampon for the first time is a struggle us gals know all too well. Meanwhile, Carrie can't put away Big's wedding ring, and MIranda and Che's NON-relationship continues to blossom into the toxic wasteland it will soon become. Also...Seema is fabulous. Enjoy!!!

This show keeps chugging along! This week the team over at AJLT headquarters has the audacity to introduce us to yet ANOTHER new character, this time being Carrie’s downstairs neighbor who we think is supposed to be a younger representation of Carrie? It’s hard to tell, because once again we are reminded of how important of a role Pat Field’s costumes played in the OG series (remember when Carrie wore a belt around her bare midriff?). Seema and Carrie remind us that smoking is cool and we all know it, and Miranda finally breaks it to Steve that she has been unhappy since the dawn of time, and her drinking problem is now fully cured. Also, Lily has a finsta. Enjoy!!!

Breaking news of the week: Che Diaz out....Rosie IN. We are both pumped that queen O'Donnell will be joining AJLT S3 as a character named simply "Mary". Its a minefield of terrible writing and character development over at AJLT headhwauarters but if anyone is up for the task, its Rosie "you said nothing and that was cowardly" O'Donnell.
After a pretty heated discussion last week about the Diwali episode, this is a lovely departure into at least a WHISPER of what the OG show used to be like! We get some genuinely stunning fashion, and we are reminded that "oh yah...Carrie is the WORST". NOT EVERYTHING IS A COMPETITION, CARRIE!!!! Thank goodness for Anthony for finally putting her in CHECK. Enjoy!!!

This week, we check in on Brown Town because HOT OFF THE PRESSES, Meri has revealed her big new project that isn't really a project so much as a private Facebook group. Many things are happening over in VPR land, but unfortunately actual FILMING isn't one of them. Rosie O'Donnell is joining season 3 of AJLT and we are GIDDY...but only as long as she is NOT a love interest for Miranda. John gets his internet "fixed", and sees a terrible movie because for some reason he refuses to see Challengers. Grey's Anatomy and SNL are back to mild acclaim, and Miss Peaches has a photo shoot. Enjoy!!!

On this episode, titled DIWALI, we spend most of our time doing literally everything BUT discussing Hindu culture and most of the time laughing our BUTTS off at SJP's zany "I can't figure out where that beeping is coming from" schtick! Miranda has several horribly sex fantasies about Che who...as we remembered during this episode, had a small kitchen tryst with her OVER THREE MONTHS AGO. Oh,, and Nya is married to Collins from Rent and has the two worst couple friends ever. Enjoy!!!

This week, Amanda attended her first expo and oh, the things she saw! (Matthew Lillard needs to check himself!). John saw two action movies that were doubling as eye candy, and Handsome Podcast has taken over the week for Amanada. We discuss the new veneer trend, Ina Garten pretending to be shocked by a wacky story told by Jennifer Garner, and Miss Peaches attends a galal Enjoy!!!
