Stay ConnectedAmanda and John, friends for over 20 years, come together to discuss all things Sex and the City (and SATC adjacent!). Join us as we lovingly snark along with each episode, and feel all those feels from the early 2000’s. The fashion, the storylines, the friendships, the MEN. Some are outdated, but so many more are just timeless!

And just like that: Che Diaz may be human after all! In fact, Che gets a literal “save the cat” storyline, in an effort to seemingly make the character more relatable here at the 11th hour. Miranda is actively ignoring Che’s calls AS SHE SHOULD, since Che single handedly blew up her entire life. In a “are we in the Twilight Zone” esque situation Carrie rewinds the clock back 25 years and makes everything about herself and Aiden, while also forgetting the basic ownership principle La of owning a cell phone. Nya eats a chocolate lava cake without the drama of MEN, thus ultimately winning the episode. Enjoy!!!

This week, we EARNED a semi-fabulous episode of this damn show!!! We got a one-off female millenial writer in the mix, and SHOCKER: she understood the assignment! Cynthia Nixon served as director for this episode as well, which really only shows us that together, women GET THINGS DONE. After discussing which characters voted which way (if at all), we break into a very grounded episode filled with female empowerment, some actual Che Diaz character development, and (if a little outrageous) FASHION. Oh, the blizzard fashion which could never logistically happen in real life; we don't care! GIVE US MORE LTW IN A JEWELLED WIG CAP. This is also the episode where Steve FINALLY stands up to Miranda, and delivers the message that all of us audience members have been screaming at our screens for two seasons! Enjoy!!!

And just like that, it’s Halloween! This is the most self aware and self referential episode in this fledging series so far, and we will take those crumbs at this point! Che finally gets a semi-human storyline, Miranda continues to give us the ick all over town, Seema meets a man who travels with a penis pump, and Harry wears a wig, which the writers clearly think is going to carry the comedy of this episode into success! (It doesn’t). Enjoy!!!

This week, Carrie continues to blatantly mean girl the most redeemable character on the series (Bitsy) and complains for days about being placed in a higher age bracket. Charlotte teaches her BAR CERTIFIED HUSBAND what a kegal muscle is, Che Diaz is making the worst financial real estate decisions in history, and Bobby Lee might still be blowing up that brunch restaurant right now.

This is the EPISODE that never ends…oh it goes on and on my friend….
No, really, an actual episode of “Lambchop’s Play-Along” would have had a better editing team behind its production.
Although the plot lines in this episode are all pretty strong on their own, the team of geniuses over at AJLT decides to cram them all into a single one hour episode; which in turn ends up feeling like we are sitting through “The Godfather” trilogy.
Carrie has trouble getting through chapter 3 of her audiobook recording, Charlotte and LTW really dance around the line of what is an appropriate storyline about sexy teens, Seema has her burkin stolen (which could be a nod to Samantha but we think the writers legit didn’t connect those dots) and Miranda completely shuts down the entire production of Che’s pilot, and for once, we are team Che. Enjoy!!!
