    Tyrese Maxey, Guerschon Yabusele and the Philadelphia 76ers went toe-to-toe with Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray and the Denver Nuggets on Friday night but fell short in a 137-134 loss, snapping their winning streak at four. Maxey scored a game-high 42 points to go with nine assists, Yabusele dropped a career-high 28 in the loss. Philadelphia matched their season-high of 21 made threes but it wasn't enough to come away with the victory.

    The Philadelphia 76ers (19-27) won their fourth consecutive game behind a total team effort in a 117-104 victory over De'Aaron Fox, Domantas Sabonis and the Sacramento Kings (24-23). Tyrese Maxey led all scorers with 30 to extend his streak of 28 or more points in 12 straight games -- overall, the Sixers posted five in double figures with three more players netting nine each. The 76ers shot 52 percent from the floor and 41 percent from behind the three-point line while committing just nine turnovers on the night.

    Tyrese Maxey was brilliant as he finished with a game-high 43 points in the Philadelphia 76ers' impressive, 118-104, win over LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers (26-19). After being tied 25-25 after the first quarter, the Sixers exploded for 48 in the second to take a 16-point lead into halftime and never looked back. The 76ers have now won three in a row, improving to 18-27 on the season. Maxey has now scored 28 or more in 11 straight games. James finished with 31 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists and 8 turnovers.

    Tyrese Maxey had another huge game for the Sixers, finishing with 31 points and 9 assists as he led the Philadelphia 76ers to a crucial win over the Chicago Bulls. With the win the Sixers have pulled to within one game of the Bulls in the race for the final play-in spot in the Eastern Conference.

    The Sixers took control of the game with suffocating defense, holding Zach LaVine, Lonzo Ball and the Chicago Bulls to just 14 points in the final quarter, with Chicago committing 11 turnovers in the decisive frame.

    The win was not without its concerns, however, as Paul George left the game midway through the second quarter with an injury to the the pinky finger on his left hand.

    Paul George, Tyrese Maxey shoot the Sixers to HUGE win over Cavaliers | PHLY Sixers Postgame Jan 25, 2025

    The losing streak has come to an end. Paul George and Tyrese Maxey combine for 59 points as the Philadelphia 76ers (16-27) defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers (36-8) at home 132-129, snapping their 7-game skid. It was the tale of two halves offensively for the Sixers' stars -- Maxey scored 19 of his 29 in the first half to help keep the 76ers in it, while George picked up the scoring slack in the second with 21 of his 30 to secure the win for Philly. As a team, the Sixers had it going from the three-point line making 21 of 39 in the much-needed victory for Nick Nurse's group. Philadelphia will travel to Chicago to face the Bulls on Saturday night.

    Without Joel Embiid to act as their defensive anchor, the Sixers turned in an embarrassing defensive effort against Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray and the Denver Nuggets, falling 144-109 to extend their losing streak to season long seven games. Jokic had his 19th triple double of the season. Christian Braun (20), Michael Porter Jr (19) and Aaron Gordon (19) all had strong performances for the Nuggets, with Julian Strawther’s career-high 23 giving Denver an unexpected lift off the bench.

    Despite an electric 37-point performance by Tyrese Maxey, the Philadelphia 76ers fell to the Milwaukee Bucks 123-109. Adem Bona, starting the first game of his NBA career as the Sixers were playing without Joel Embiid, Andre Drummond and Guerschon Yabusele, added in 10 points and 6 rebounds before fouling out.

    With the loss, Philadelphia's sixth in a row, the Sixers fell to 15-26 on the season.

    The Sixers could not overcome a dominant 34 point, 15 rebound, 6 assist performance from Giannis Antetokounmpo, along with a monster fourth quarter from Damian Lillard, who scored 16 in the final frame after being held in check for most of the game.
