With the loss, the Sixers will head into the All-Star break tied with the Nets for the 6th worst record in the league at 20-34, with 28 games left to play.

Tyrese Maxey struggles as Sixers lose 4th straight in loss to Raptors | PHLY Sixers Postgame Feb 12, 2025
    Show notes

The Philadelphia 76ers' losing streak is now up to four after another frustrating loss -- this time to the visiting Toronto Raptors, 106-103. Sixers' star guard Tyrese Maxey struggled mightly in the game, finishing with just five points on 1-9 shooting and 1-7 from behind the three-point line in 32 minutes. Joel Embiid put together a 27-point, 12-rebound line, but had a costly turnover with the 76ers down 105-103 with eight seconds remaining on the game clock. Raptors guard Gradey Dick made one of two from the free-throw line to push the lead to what ultimately became the final score. Toronto's Scottie Barnes led all scorers with 33 and collected 10 rebounds.

The PHLY Sixers show discusses another disappointing loss for Philadelphia in a game they should've had.

BOMBSHELL Joel Embiid injury news interrupts Sixers loss to Bucks | PHLY Sixers Postgame Feb 09, 2025
    Show notes

The Sixers’ bad loss to the Milwaukee Bucks became a side story after a report from ESPN’s Lisa Salters claimed that Joel Embiid believes he needs another knee surgery and “a long recovery period” to properly get back to his old self.

Oh yeah, the 76ers were also blown out by the Milwaukee Bucks, who were playing without Giannis Antetokounmpo. Damian Lillard led Milwaukee, while getting help from Gary Trent Jr., Bobby Portis, and others.

Join the PHLY Sixers squad as they break down another embarrassing defensive performance from the Sixers, who now have the worst defense in the league since the calendar flipped to 2025.

Sixers put up most DISGRACEFUL performance of season in rout to Pistons | PHLY Sixers Postgame Feb 08, 2025
    Show notes

Joel Embiid and Paul George turned in an absolutely disgraceful performance in Detroit, falling down by as many as 34 points in the first half and giving up a season-high 78 first-half points to a Detroit Pistons squad that was playing without their star guard Cade Cunningham.

Embiid turned it around with 20 points in the third quarter, but it was mostly window dressing on an embarrassing night for the Sixers, who finally got their big three of Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and Paul George on the floor together for the first time since January 4th.

Join the PHLY Sixers squad as they react to perhaps the most disappointing game in a season full of them.

Sixers' poor defense & tough shooting night leads to close loss vs Heat | PHLY Sixers Postgame Feb 06, 2025
    Show notes

The Philadelphia 76ers (20-30) end their 6-game homestand with a 108-101 loss to the Miami Heat (25-24) -- finishing the season-long stretch with a 3-3 record. Tyrese Maxey scored a game-high 31 points, adding five assists and three steals, pushing his streak of at least 28 points to 16 straight games. The 76ers forced the Heat into 22 turnovers to their four but lost the rebounding battle 53-40 leading to multiple second-chance opportunities for Miami that hurt Philadelphia in the end. The NBA trade deadline is Thursday at 3 p.m. and the Sixers will next play on Friday night in Detroit against the Pistons.

The PHLY Sixers crew dissects a frustrating loss on night two of the back-to-back.

Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey team up to snap 76ers' losing streak for win #20 | PHLY Sixers Postgame Feb 05, 2025
    Show notes

After missing 15 consecutive games, Joel Embiid returned to record a 29-point triple-double, helping the Philadelphia 76ers snap their 2-game losing streak by defeating the Dallas Mavericks, 118-116. Tyrese Maxey was phenomenal again with a 33-point, 13-assist performance that allowed the Sixers to pick up win number 20 on the season. Contributions up and down the roster for the 76ers to secure the home win, including another shooting night over 50 percent.

The PHLY Sixers show reacts to Embiid's first game in a month and all of the activity surrounding the trade deadline.

Sixers acquire Quentin Grimes from Mavericks in TRADE for Caleb Martin Feb 04, 2025
    Show notes

Quentin Grimes has been traded to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for Caleb Martin who will be sent to the very busy Dallas Mavericks. Grimes, 24, has played in 47 of Dallas' 50 games this season, starting in 12 of the contests. The 6'4 guard is in his fourth NBA campaign, averaging 10 points per game while shooting a career-high 39.8 percent from behind the three-point line. Grimes will be a restricted free agent at the end of the campaign. Philadelphia also received their own 2025 second-round back from Dallas in the deal.

The PHLY Sixers show breaks down Grimes' fit with the 76ers, Martin's tenure and what's next for Philly.

Sixers blow 26-point 3rd quarter lead in gut punch of a loss to Celtics | PHLY Sixers Postgame Feb 03, 2025
    Show notes

The Philadelphia 76ers led by as many as 26 points with 2:56 to play in the 3rd quarter, but the Boston Celtics were able to turn things around with their defense and three-point shooting to eventually take the lead and secure the 118-110 road win. Stunning the Sixers and their home crowd. Tyrese Maxey led the 76ers with 34, adding six assists but was unable to get things going in the 4th, scoring just two points because of how the Celtics defended him and forced the ball out of his hands. Boston shot 50 percent from the field and made 21 threes from long distance en route to their 35th win of the season. The Sixers' record drops to 19-29.

The PHLY Sixers crew breaks down Philadelphia's second consecutive heartbreaking loss at home.
