Show notes

Houston was off getting married this week, but we were fortunate to have Jake and Krystal Bush, two of our studio executives with us as we back away from the big-budget Marvel movies of last week and explore a couple of lesser-known, quirky, indie flicks that are more in sync with each other than the Hiphopapotamus and the Rhymenocerous... That's a Flight of the Conchords reference... They're in this movie... Show notes

Time to Ragnarok 'n' Roll with our Marvel Movie Mash. If you know Kevin Feige (not pronounced like 'beige' I found out), you might want to let him know about this episode. He'll probably take all of the current plans for the MCU and throw them in a dumpster fire so they can make our incredible movie. There are now 3 infinity gauntlets, a mediterranean Kaiju, and it's a Psych/Sherlock crossover? Show notes

Today we get direct help from one of our studio execs, Joseph Young. No dogs die in this movie…because they're already dead! (No, it's not a Burton nor a Shyamalan movie.) Let's be honest: this one got away from us a little bit. But then we got it back and created a wholesome, VHS-only Pizza Hut promotional offer the whole family can enjoy! Plus, we imagine what the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles look like with little neckties. Cuuuute! Ep. 15 - The Lego Movie Video Game Movie (SilverScreen Archive) Oct 05, 2017

Show notes

Better late than never! This week, we ignore the fact that people are kind of sick of Lego movies and take the franchise in…actually a pretty likely direction. Like, we talk a big game sometimes, but I could actually see Lego making this movie. Seriously, it's got everything--Lego bricks (not Legos), Chris Pratt, a minor character from Community, programming, and the important lesson to "Be creative...but not *too* creative!" Spoilers: The Lego Movie Featured Movies: The Lego Ninjago Movie/The Lego Movie Inspired by: The Lego Movie Directed by: J.J. Abrams Starring: Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, Greg Kromer, and Will Ferrell Tagline: Because we need to build a spot in every aspect of your child's entertainment Music courtesy of bensound.com
