Ep. 37 - One Year Anniversary Rehash Sep 07, 2020

Show notes

We review our best (and worst) ideas of the first year of the podcast and try to figure out if any of them have a future--either on the show or off. Obviously we're very into our ideas for Chaonica and Pokemon Legacy and will be building off of them in future episodes...but what about our other ideas? Who knows?!

Ep. 33 - Sphere Sending Aug 16, 2020

Show notes

Coronavirus is here to stay for a while and we've decided to make the best of it by inventing a sport that is inherently safe for the times we live in. We may not be the most sporty of spices, but we cooked up a pretty spicy sport here. Between recording and releasing this episode, we actually almost went out to play it. Almost.

Ep. 32 - Jake's Real Minecraft Treehouse for Grown-ups Aug 10, 2020

Show notes

So...Jake has a big ol' tree in his backyard and he claims he's going to build a treehouse in it, despite not knowing how to build stuff. So we turn to our old friend Minecraft to help us plan it out and bring it to life. Houston doesn't help because he's sick and also doesn't play Minecraft like the cool kids. Also, we take a trip North to Shelley, Idaho for that classic segment, Stories From Shelley where we learn about his dad's weird taco-related hobby.

If you end up liking this episode, we're also working on getting the video version up to YouTube where you can actually see Bryan building the treehouse in Minecraft as they discuss it.

Ep. 31 - Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC Fighter #7 Aug 02, 2020

Show notes

Editor's Note: We went through several difficult technical issues when trying to record this episode and the final product had some weird audio issue. We salvaged as much as we could, but the audio is still a bit messy.

Editor's Note #2: I, Houston Bodily, solemly declare the wrong winner of this episode was selected and will continue to argue this point until Bryan and Jake are exhausted from the debate, give up, and let one of my character ideas be the winner. Help me wear them down by voicing your opinion with #Perfectbrainstormsmashcharactershouldhavebeeneithereeveeormajorasmasklinkbecausebothhaveveryuniqueplaystyleswhicharefundamentaltothesmashultimatedlccharactersaremoreiconicandfranklyyouwouldreallylovetoplayaswhereashornetisnteventhemaincharacterofitsowngamesoyouneedtointroducetheactualhollowknightitselfbeforeintroducinghornetorelseitsacompleteshambesideshollowknightisstillarelativelyindiegameandsomepeoplewillbepleasedtohornetbutmostpeoplewillcomplainabouthowsupersmashbrosultimateforthemostpartonlypicksdownloadablecharactersfromobscuregamesandwhatthepeoplereallywantissomethingthatsfamiliarandiconicbesideseeveeisabsolutelyadorableandsomemanypeoplewouldflocktowardsplayingaseeveealsoeeveehasbeenaroundlongerandweshouldrespectitslegacysinceitsarguablyoneofthetop10mosticonicpokemonandiwouldpersonallythoughthiscouldbedebatedbutpersonallyiwouldarguethatthetop50mosticonicpokemonaremoreiconicthanhornetandaslomajorasmaskiswhenofthemostcriminallyunderratedgamesofalltimesandletsberealwecouldthrowanotherlinkechocharacteronthecharacterselectionandyouwouldstillplayitmorethanhornetalsothemasktransformationsetupshouldberewardedforitscreativity

Show notes

Wait what's this!? Another homemade Quibi style remake of an untouchable classic film? That's right we giving the Homemade treatment recently given to Princess Bride and now turn it to the Bill Murray 1993 hit movie Groundhog's Day. Join as we discover how to over work Bill Murray and find out he has a 1-800 number as an agent.

Ep. 29 - Yot Club Jul 18, 2020

Show notes

We're sell outs everyone. We just want to get rich with this podcast. So we decided to focus making the next hot App. Fortunately, if the Yot Club (TM TM TM) app doesn't work out, we basically found a new way to view "Malls" and maybe we can trick people into thinking it was our own idea.

Bonus: Pokemon Legacy II - Grookeys & Dragons Jul 13, 2020

Show notes

This is part 2 of the Pokemon Legacy Bonus Series. The gang fends off a group of Grookeys, adds a new beat to their group, and finds the Team Rocket knock offs of Swatu. The first sign of trouble from the Conquista comes at the expense of finding a destroyed fire temple with yet more mysteries to resolve.

Ep. 15C - Chaonical Chronicles Jun 28, 2020

Show notes

This is the next chapter in building the world of the The Practicians (Practioners? It's very unclear). Join us as we move on to the next step of this universe and design the Magic System. Although it's not required to listen, it may be insightful to listen to Ep. 15A - The Practicians and Ep. 15B The Prakticians (Character Design).

Ep. 28 - Maligulous Caliculi Jun 14, 2020

Show notes

In a move that SEO experts call "the opposite of optimization", we decided to do an episode about made-up words. Bryan has had this made-up phrase in his head since he was little and he's never known why or what it could possibly mean, so we trawl the internet looking for meaning and eventually settle on an extremely boring, practical solution.

But Bryan is finally at peace.

Ep. 27 - 2082: A Time Odyssey; The Dark Tower 1 1/2; Luigi's Mansion Jun 04, 2020

Show notes

This episode is so dumb and the timing of releasing this type of dumb content is terrible because there are much more important conversations happening, but we felt like maybe people may need a break and need to listen to some silliness. But we hope you also consider learning about and donating to these organizations that could use your help right now.

We considered making a donation as a podcast, but collectively, as a podcast, we have negative money. But we’ve made individual donations and hope you can too. I’ve made some movie posters to go along with this episode, and I’ll share those down below.
