Performance Anxiety: South Of Eden Dec 04, 2020
    Show notes

Today I’m joined by Justin Young & Tom McCullough from South of Eden. These guys were so much fun to have on the show. I’m going to go ahead and anoint them the newest comedy team in rock. They’ve got an EP out called The Talk and a full length album on the way. They’ve also got some cool covers either out of possibly on the way. Or are they drawing album covers? They’re a little vague on that one. They give me the run down on why they changed their name from Black Coffee to South of Eden. They actually considered using The New Originals, which is one reason why I love these guys. And if you know that reference, I love you, too! I also get two sides of the same story where Justin thwarts a robbery with consequences while touring. Follow them on social media. They’re not hard to find. Follow us @PerformanceAnx. Subscribe, rate, & review! And if you like the shows we’re putting out, feel free to check us out at ko-fi.com/performanceanxiety & buy us a cup of coffee. No commitment necessary. Now get ready for South of Eden on Performance Anxiety, part of Pantheon Podcasts.

Rosemary Butler. Legendary vocalist, songwriter, producer and dear friend.

We met many years ago through her work with Linda Rondstadt, and I recently had the pleasure of designing her latest album cover ' You Just Watch Me'.

Her stunning mezzo- soprano voice (with a 4 octave range) has taken her all over the world singing with iconic artists like Linda Ronstadt, James Taylor, Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne, Neil Young, and the list goes on and on.

Long May You Young 29: This Note's For You Dec 03, 2020
    Show notes

Don't believe the rumors, Youngsters. We didn't record this episode for Pepsi, Coke, Miller or Bud. This pod's for you. Not gonna lie, there's A LOT of tangents in this one. We get sidetracked quite a bit. Mike whipped up some delicious Blue Notes and we went down quite a few side roads: the archives, The Band, Eric Clapton, Christian Ska Music. You know, the usual. We did talk about the album, though, I swear. Luke brought up the video for the title song. Russ really loved Twilight. Mike thought Coupe DeVille was perfect. We dip our feet into the Live from the Blue Note album just a tiny bit. We talk about the temptations of corporate sponsorship and how different genres use horns. All in all, it was a blast.

Rock Candy Ep. 142: The B-52's - There Ya Go! Dec 02, 2020
    Show notes

This week we want to shine a light on one a band whose true talents get overlooked. The B-52's may seem like just your standard party band, but they are so much more than that. Their technically sound instrumentation mixed with quirky lyrics run much deeper than a simple song about piling into a massive car for a road trip to a cabin. This band worked hard and put in the time and made the connections, earning them a rightful place in music history throughout the decades. And along the way they teach us to celebrate our own uniqueness and try to have a little fun here and there.

Performance Anxiety: Ken Wohlrob (Swarm Of Flies, Eternal Black) Dec 02, 2020
    Show notes

Today I’m speaking with guitarist & sometimes frontman, Ken Wohlrob. Ken is never one to sit still, as you will find out. During the pandemic, he’s been forced, like most musicians, to take a hiatus from his two bands, Eternal Black & End of Hope. So Ken decided to start another project called Swarm of Flies. It’s a revolving cast of members and a completely new way of creating music for Ken. He’s released a couple of songs through Bandcamp already and they could not be more different from each other! Each SOF track will be released as a single when it’s completed. You can pick up the first two at Bandcamp. Follow Ken, Eternal Black, & End of Hope on social media. Follow us @PerformanceAnx on social media, too. If you like the shows we’re giving you, consider buying us a cup of coffee. We’ll all split it. There’s no commitment. And subscribe, rate, & review us to help spread the word. Now let’s hear all the buzz about Ken Wolhrob & Swarm of Flies.
