137. Picture Proof: Lorraine Kirkley Aug 25, 2021

Show notes

Lorraine Kirkley lives in Valparaiso Indiana with her loving husband Robert. Lori worked as a cardiac rehab nurse and seemed to really like her job. The couple were madly in love and had just put up their house for sale and had planned to move to South Bend which is where Robert worked. It was July 21, 1999 around 9:30pm Robert came home from work. Expecting Lori to be home as she was supposed to be, he arrived to an empty home. Even though no one was in the home, it was apparent someone had been there and helped themselves to a few of the belongings. Robert walked across the street to a neighbors and asked if they had seen Lori and when they told him they had not, Robert called 9-1-1. It would take years to find out exactly what happened to Lori.

133. Acid Attack : The Betrayal of Naomi Oni Jul 28, 2021

Show notes

Naomi Oni was an extremely smart and respectful young lady. She was always taught to place more value in who she is as a person, as opposed to how she looked. She had a tight group of friends and just like a lot of teens, they were all into celebrity culture, fashion, make-up, and music. On the 29th of December 2012, Naomi set off as usual to work her shift in Stratford. After finishing at 11:30 pm, she left the store with her colleagues and as a group, they all walked to the train station where they eventually went separate ways. As she exited the bus and began walking the short distance home, something caught her eye. She felt uneasy, but what would happen next would change Naomi forever.

132. The Wicked Stepmother: Judith Hawkey Jul 21, 2021

Show notes

Like many children, Corey Breininger was being raised by his father and grandparents as his mother was not currently in his life. The arrangement worked well for all of them. When Robert Breininger met a woman by the name of Judith Hawkey, there was an immediate connection because the family could once again become a unit. Corey was only 4 years old when he met Judith, and at that young age, he could not yet know how much Judith would change his life and make what should be a little boy’s dream of having a family turn into a nightmare that no one would believe.

130. The Case of the Honolulu Strangler Jul 07, 2021

Show notes

Today we go to Paradise where a predator stalked and murdered his victims over thirty years ago. It was the mid-late 1980’s and Hawaii was about to be struck by their first serial killer. It is May 29, 1985 when 25-year-old Vicky Gail Purdy was reported missing by her husband. Vicki had gone out with friends in Waikiki but never came home. This would be the first in a series of murders that would plague the island.
