Scoop wants to ride with Jacurri as Toast argues that Poffenbarger and Tua's little brother Taulia Tagovailoa would likely beat him out for the starting job.But everyone thinks the competition between Poffenbarger and Jacurri will be interesting.

And the guys debate who they believe would be best in the starting role, Emory or Jacurri, and everyone has a different approach to their answer. The Canes LOST the Pinstripe Bowl to Rutgers 31-24, and the boys break down everything that rolled into this loss, the first to Rutgers in the history of the program. And of course everyone is getting sick of the "gameday mismanagement" conversation that constantly surrounds the coaching staff.

Roman is specifically frustrated by the undisciplined conduct of the players as the Canes continue to cost themselves costly yards when it counts most. And Scoop wants to know what the excuses are going to be for this loss. And Toast wishes we would have locked down a portal QB before that loss on national television.

We all get a chance to reflect on 100 episodes of the Mario Cristobal era at UM, and overall how we all grade Mario after 100 weeks at the helm. And for a large tear-down job that had to happen, we remain optimistic about the long-term health of the program.

Roman took in a stray and Scoop doesn't want to talk about the College Football Playoff - a perfect start to the madness this week. Plus Toast asks if the portal transfers at QB1 and Safety make all the difference for the Canes next season.

We also look at FSU's quarterback room vs UM's quarterback room, possible portal QBs for the Canes, and the guys we're keeping an eye on as more people jump on the carousel. And we take a look at the Pinstripe Bowl against Rutgers coming up, because Roman likes while Toast remains unimpressed.

Roman also brings his College Playoff perspective to the show, saying that Alabama should NOT have leapfrogged Georgia because Georgia was the best team - but that isn't what the playoff is about. To which Scoop responds with FSU's mediocre schedule and Ro's hate for the SEC. And from there the debate rages about the best teams in College Football this season.

Week 12 Recap: CANES WIN 45-20 at Boston College Nov 25, 2023

Show notes

The Canes close out the regular season with a huge 45-20 win at Boston College and finish the regular season with Roman's 7-and-5 mark. And with the portal opening before the coming bowl game, everyone is left speculating about WHO will be the starting quarterback for the bowl.

We were also excited to see tight ends featured in the offense, and how much better Tyler performed when he had more weapons and creativity at his disposal. And with a full rebuild on deck for the QB room, it's time for Mario's recruiting prowess to show up and shine so we have options going into next season.

And as we reflect on the season in our final recap show of the regular season, we saw a lot of improvement and hope that we can retain some of the momentum from this season by keeping guys home and recruiting strong prospects.
