Aaron and Trent sit down with Tim “Chaci” Pachasa and Chelsey Simoni from the Hunter Seven Foundation for one of the most important health conversations we have had on Ones Ready.

Hunter Seven is not just talking about veteran cancer. They are building the system that should have existed already: research, education, early screening, direct support, and a free cancer care campus for veterans who are trying to fight this stuff before it is too late.

Chelsey breaks down the reality of post-9/11 cancer trends, toxic exposure, burn pits, JP-8, PFAS, chronic stress, gastrointestinal issues, H. pylori, and why “normal for me” does not mean normal. A normal amount of symptoms is zero. Not “deployment stomach.” Not acid reflux forever. Not chronic pain you just learned to live with.

Chaci explains why this is not about blaming the Department of War or the services. War has consequences. The issue is whether we are willing to own those consequences early enough to keep people alive. He also gets honest about the veteran hypocrisy most of us live with: we tell everyone else to take care of themselves while ignoring our own symptoms because we do not want to step away from the team.

The conversation also hits what Hunter Seven found during SOF Week screenings, why cancer can show up decades earlier than civilian norms, why civilian providers often miss veteran-specific risk factors, and why service members need to stop underreporting pain, GI issues, fatigue, and other symptoms.

Hunter Seven also shares what is coming next: their rural Tennessee cancer care campus, the Patriots, Pars, and Pistols event at Pinehurst, and how donations directly support screenings, second opinions, travel, medication, treatment support, and care for veterans.

An armed citizen refused to sit back and watch.

Aaron and Trent examine the deadly shooting outside an In-N-Out in Twin Falls, Idaho, where a rifle-wielding attacker reportedly killed two people and wounded seven others. They break down the footage, the unanswered questions surrounding the shooter’s motive, and how an armed citizen returning fire may have prevented an even larger massacre.

This episode goes beyond the usual gun-control argument. It’s about carrying legally, getting legitimate training, recognizing danger, using whatever options are available, and accepting one ugly reality: denial does not protect you when violence begins.

Their message is blunt—being armed without being trained isn’t enough, and waiting for somebody else to save you may cost lives.

Peaches sits down with Kaylon, a former Air Force Security Forces military working dog handler, dog trainer, and father of a 17-year-old preparing for Air Force Special Warfare.

This episode is for the parents.

Kaylon talks about his time as a Security Forces K9 handler at RAF Mildenhall, his deployment experience, working explosive detection dogs, and eventually transitioning into professional dog training. But the real focus of this conversation is what it feels like as a parent when your kid says, “I want to join the military,” and then starts looking at Air Force Special Warfare.

They talk about how Kaylon’s son went from considering Navy SEALs to discovering Combat Control, how the family handled that decision, why his mom supports him even while being nervous, and what parents should do when they do not fully understand the path their kid wants to take.

Peaches is back with the Daily Drop for 28 July, covering Army vehicle prototypes, command and control testing, Navy vaccine and transfer policy updates, Marine drone experiments, Coast Guard counter-UUV efforts, testosterone screenings, Iran operations, and some very questionable budget math.

The Army is moving forward with Infantry Squad Vehicle Heavy prototypes while Project Convergence prepares to stress-test next-generation command and control gear in the Mojave Desert. The Navy reinstated flu vaccine requirements for certain sailors and changed transfer policy after a sailor’s death, while the USS George Washington strike group is operating in the South China Sea.

The Marine Corps is experimenting with medium-sized drones that can launch one-way attack drones, and Marines also tested drone delivery of simulated refrigerated blood during an Australia exercise. Peaches ties that into real-world medical drone delivery and what it could mean for dispersed battlefield sustainment.

The Air Force clarified again that waist-to-height ratio measurements will not be scored during the initial rollout, while B-52 modernization remains on cost and schedule after a test aircraft crash. The Coast Guard is looking for technology to detect and defeat unmanned underwater vehicles, because drone swarms are not just an air problem anymore.

The Army and Navy teamed up during RIMPAC to sink two decommissioned ships, while Lieutenant General Kevin D. Admiral was nominated to command U.S. Army Europe and Africa.
