I mean, there is not a more beautiful time of the year than right now. The entire crew is here. Almost all of us have been watching spring practice with our own eyes. We had 90 minutes of viewing on Monday, we have another hour and 45 minutes after the pod today. While Eddie and George did a Practice Report on YouTube, Carey and Bob weigh in today with what they saw and Josh is here as well to talk about what he's hearing. There's just so much to talk about regarding this team. We've got some insight into some of the new staff and how they fit in with the program as well as all the player analysis you can handle. Josh is here with the latest in recruiting as always and there was just so much football to talk about but we managed to fit in some hoops, softball, baseball talk in the end. Check YouTube for a brand new stickball episode that will get more in-depth to the baseball and softball. It's a great time to pod and a great time to listen to the pod. Enjoy!

U40: It's DeMarco Murray chaos during the pod Mar 20, 2024

It's been a little Porter Moser heavy with his press conference the other day. It got a lot more bizarre for those that watched Virginia play last night. But we're going football heavy as Josh has had back-to-back weekends of watching OU prospects in person at Under Armour Dallas and Houston. And we're also diving into what the latest Kevin Sperry movement could mean for his commitment to OU. We actually put Josh on the spot and ask him if Sperry winds up at OU. We were also blown away at the footage of 2026 RB Jonathan Hatton in Houston. And as we started the pod there was worry that DeMarco Murray might be stolen away by Ohio State. As we were halfway through the pod we got word that Murray had made a decision and was staying with OU. Bob is also here for some hoops talk and what Porter is going to have to do in the offseason so the end of this season doesn't send the program spiraling in a negative direction. Spring is never lacking for action. And that's without football practicing this week due to spring break.

U40: Drake Stoops' Pro Day, Zac Alley's contract, UA camp Mar 13, 2024

Spring sports is at it's height with Football, recruiting, basketball, softball and baseball and the Unofficial 40 has a lot to cover. We got to see Drake Stoops and others run their unofficial 40s at OU's Pro Day. What were our impressions? The board of regents met on Tuesday and there was salary news for Zac Alley. What does his salary say about his place in the defensive coaching pecking order? Also a big raise for offensive line coach Bill Bedenbaugh. We wrap up the Under Armour camp from over the weekend and talk about how many recruits are setting up official visits. It gives us a peak into what weekends the staff is setting up for big recruiting weekends. OU heads into the Big 12 tournament down some important bodies and the women put up a dud in the Big 12 Tourney. Little softball talk with Bob and baseball talk with Eddie. And we even had an appearance from Josh's oldest daughter and we planned her birthday party this summer.

U40: Takeaways after meeting with 35 OU football newcomers Mar 07, 2024

OU held it's now annual media day for newcomers just before the start of Spring Football on Monday. We talk about our takeaways from all the players we talked to. And oh yeah, Brent Venables also held his pre-spring press conference. We talk about our biggest takeaways from Brent and we get into the structure of OU's football personnel/general manager staff. Josh has updates on the Future Freaks recruiting event this weekend and Norman and everybody is headed to Dallas Sunday for the Under Armour camp where a lot of those freaks will be headed. Bob and Eddie bring the hoops updates as the Sooners are almost guaranteed back-to-back games against Texas. Softball is trying to find their closer and getting used to bigger home crowds. Bob Przybylo with the updates there.

U40: Spring sports, recruiting is coming and the SEC schedule Feb 28, 2024

Spring is in full swing as softball, baseball are all underway while March Madness looms. The Sooners are looking better as members of the 68-team tournament after a win in Stillwater. With just a handful of games remaining, can the Sooners get one more win to make the NCAA's almost a certainty. The women can clinch the Big 12 with a home win over Texas Wednesday night! Bob Przybylo is here to talk about softball and the opening of Love's Field this weekend. Josh is here to give you all the latest on the recruiting front and George and Carey are joining in to talk SEC and next year's schedule which will be difficult. Vegas has OU at only 7.5 wins for the season. A lot going on and a lot to get to in this edition of the Unofficial 40.

It's the whole crew locked in once again this week as we start of with the full gang, but first we get a little springy as Bob Przybylo is here to talk softball and hoops while Eddie updates us on OU's first weekend on the diamond. George joins the show and we're still talking hoops. Has the lack of support for OU hoops eroded some of the passion from the fanbase? A dinosaur arena doesn't really scream, "We care!" And are the Sooners closer to falling out of the NCAA Tournament field or staying in the field? A pretty serious state of the union discussion on OU hoops. As soon as anyone lets us talk to anyone like maybe Zac Alley or any newcomers. Hoops is coming off a soul crushing loss. U40: It's National Signing Day but it already happened Feb 07, 2024

Carey, Josh, Eddie, George and Bob are all here and we're back in action this week. We talk about National Signing Day even though there was no big signing for OU in the second signing period. Should we just get rid of this second signing day? The guys talk about where things stand with the recruiting calendar as coaches have been on the road, junior days have happened and we've already moved on to 2005 commitments. How will all of this be affected by what is happening with the College Football Playoff and the SEC and Big Ten looking to do their own thing? Will the NCAA even be in charge much longer? We also talk about OU's latest commitment and offensive line recruiting in general. We talk with George about the Senior Bowl and the shuffling of the support staff at OU with Jay Nunez leaving for Alabama. Some heated hoops talk with the crew as Eddie, Bob and Carey chop it up about where this hoops season is headed. Softball is coming and we all have our thoughts on Toby Keith's passing as OU started to honor his memory last night at the BYU game.

U40: Texas loss a kick in the teeth, OU making tons of new offers Jan 24, 2024

It was a potentially huge night for OU basketball last night as the Sooners took on the Texas Longhorns in their own gym. But the Sooners didn't play with enough intensity and were beaten down until they were out. We talk about why it happened, what it all means and what does Porter Moser have to say about the loss in front of the best OU crowd of the year? We take a look at some of the recent offers that have been made by the Sooners. Josh highlighted 39 new offers this morning on SoonerScoop and we talk about some of them. U40: 2025 recruiting is all about the OL class Jan 17, 2024

The gang is back and we're talking about the hot issues on the Crimson Corner lately: OU and NIL. Can it be better? And who is supposed to make it better? We usually try and avoid a lot of NIL talk but it's time for the fanbase to get back to the basics on how this all works. Alabama has some big names hitting the portal as well. But would the Sooners be players for more high profile portal transfers? We're also talking about the 2025 recruiting class that is going very, very well at this point. And speaking of the program's biggest issue right now, there are a ton of offensive lineman available in the class of 2025. Josh tells us how the Sooners are faring with the biggest names out there in 2025. Bob is here for some hoops talk as OU gets a very winnable game tonight in the LNC. And Zac Alley has been officially announced as OU's next DC. His salary will give a good indication of whether he really is seen as the new lead dog on defense.
