The crew has never been busier and there's never been a better time for a podcast. George is in Destin, Florida, at the SEC meetings getting all the lowdown on OU's move to the SEC and the current state of things in Norman. Josh is in studio because he's touring the state of Oklahoma checking out the top prospects. This week he's out at team camps looking in on some of OU's biggest commitments and targets. The WCWS is about to start and Eddie is here to talk about baseball as long as Carey doesn't ruin it for him. We've also got the big recruiting updates from Josh McCuistion on Jonah Williams and Ty Haywood. And summer workouts have begun at the Switzer Center.

U40: Josh in town for okpreps tour, Eddie in Arlington for Big 12 baseball. May 23, 2024

We start this week with baseball as Eddie is at the Big 12 Baseball tournament in Arlington, Texas, after watching Oklahoma shut out TCU 4-0 in their tournament opener. Josh McCuistion is also in town to start his Oklahoma preps tour as he was in Owasso, Wagoner and Choctaw Wednesday to get a look at some of the top talent in the state. We also talk about a recent OU loss on the recruiting trail in Antoni Ogumoro. George wants to setup an EASports NCAA Football streaming room and Josh says he'd be all for it. We're also talking about changes coming to college football broadcasts next season and specifically the college football playoff. Some portal news to finish things off.

It's another week inside the Scoop Studios on Campus Corner and Carey, Josh, Eddie and George are back for another edition of the Unofficial 40. This week had us looking ahead to the SEC and how difficult the road could be for the Sooners. Vegas does not have the Sooners favored in a ton of contests in 2024. We're all pretty excited about the Thunder right now as Eddie and George are trying to scheme their way into the arena tonight. Josh has been out on the recruiting trail and the portal is still a thing for Oklahoma who is looking to add more muscle on the interior defensively. Which leads to a discussion about how well the Sooners have been doing and how hungry Brent Venables is for defensive linemen in his program.

Spring football has finished. And the entire gang is here to discuss what we learned and where this program is heading into the SEC. The transfer portal is obviously a big part of that and George is here to talk about Damonic Williams and whether the Sooners are moving on, or waiting to see what happens on these upcoming visits. We're back as we get ready for a huge weekend in Norman. The annual spring game takes place this weekend and there will be transfers and recruits all over the place. As long as the weather doesn't kill everything that is. We get started today though talking about the portal and where OU is looking to fix their issues. And even as we are doing the pod, we again have breaking news as a major defensive line target enters the portal from TCU. Outside of the offensive and defensive lines, are the Sooners even paying attention to other positions? Josh is here to breakdown the latest in recruiting. Any commitments expected out of this weekend. And exactly who is visiting from the portal? We breakdown what we learned from talking to Jackson Arnold and Danny Stutsman after practice on Tuesday. When Bob is done yelling at us from the other room, he stops in to talk about the latest with softball and the Portal Moser situation. It's not off to a great start inside the LNC. U40: Are we worried about the offensive line? Apr 10, 2024

The gang is back together talking spring football and this time we're really focused on the offensive line and how that might be affected some of the reports we're hearing about the quarterback position. How much concern do we have heading into the offseason? How much concern should you have if the line doesn't look great in the spring game? The Sooners are hot on the recruiting trail once again and Josh is here for all the latest, including the commitment of Maliek Hawkins just before we started the podcast. And what about the transfer portal? We all have very strong opinions about where the Sooners need to go and what they need to start doing (tampering) in the portal. The softball team is coming off their first series loss since 1907 and Bob is here to update how much of a terror Patty Gasso will be moving forward. Porter Moser also has no players on his roster but we'll talk about how aggressive the Sooners are going to be in the portal for men's hoops. Plenty of football to digest in this one.

U40: Position breakdowns after three practice viewings Apr 03, 2024

The whole crew is back for another thorough breakdown of spring football camp. We're just off of our third viewing of the spring and we're also full of some scrimmage intel as well. Troy Everett is lost for the spring and the early part of fall camp next season. Where do the Sooners go from here? And what do we make of the offensive line so far. There have been few glowing reviews coming out of camp and what we've seen makes it hard to tell how much of a concern this unit really is. But other positions look like they are receiving some upgrades, like on the defensive line where David Stone is getting strong reviews from Brent Venables. We also talk about the buzz surrounding true freshman QB Michael Hawkins. From what we've seen so far, we believe it. Bob joins in and we talk about OU President Joe Harroz and his "threat" to move Oklahoma basketball to another city if the city of Norman doesn't come through with a proposed entertainment district. We also breakdown what is happening with Porter Moser's roster and where he goes after losing more players this week. Josh is here for your recruiting updates and it's a huge weekend for softball at Texas and baseball in Bedlam.
