    Show notes
    Off The Charts Business Podcast

This is a very special episode because in it, I get to ask Amy Wright, project and time management expert how small business owners can systematize and grow their businesses.

Amy Wright is a consulting for systems and organization. She advises clients on how to have a life outside of their businesses. Her experience as a mother of four, and as an event manager makes her uniquely qualified to train businesses on project and time management.

So if you’re curious to hear Amy’s answer to this question, listen in: “What can you do to systematize and really help you grow your business and bring on the ideal team members?”

Home_Amy_WrightAmy shares a great exercise to get clear on hiring your next rockstar team member, and if you’ve never done this exercise get out your pen and paper because you are going to love the results that Amy is sharing today.

I’ve personally worked with Amy to hire team members, so if you enjoyed the episode but you don’t want to do it all on your own, then you’re in luck. Amy might be able to help you find your first Virtual Assistant (VA) or Project Manager.

Check out Amy’s site for more hiring resources.

The best copywriters on the planet know that headlines matter… so much that they routinely spend 50% of their writing time just to craft the perfect headline.

You might have experienced a really powerful line of copy that grabbed you by the guts and wouldn’t let go, until you read the sub-headline, the first paragraph… all the way to the buy button.

That’s the power of a sales page headline that works, and today I’m going to share with you some of my best tips for writing killer headlines.

How many ecourses have you bought that you still haven’t finished?

Come on, admit it… more than one, right? I’m guilty, too.

Happiness and Success – Which One Comes First

We’re taught from a young age that achieving specific milestones of success — getting good grades, getting into a great college, having a prestigious career, having a certain amount of money saved, living in the right house or neighborhood, marrying the right person, having talented or well-behaved kids, etc. — will make us happy.

Happy people tend to choose meaningful work and are more effective, productive, focused, creative and successful than unhappy people. Happy people also tend to create relationships that are far happier than those created by unhappy people.
If we are more financially successful and create healthier relationships when we are happy, the big question is: What creates happiness?

#106 How To Increase Margins In Your Business Aug 13, 2015
    Show notes

    Off The Charts Business Podcast

At the start of your business, you need to do what it takes to bring money in the door. You might try different business models, ideas, and projects.

As your business matures, you need to focus on keeping a larger piece of the pie… and that means increasing margins.

I’ve seen even smart business owners fall into the trap of constantly pursuing revenue growth, while expenses creep up on them. Sometimes even spending more than they earn, essentially working for free.

    Off The Charts Business Podcast

Recently I was lucky enough to have our podcast featured by iTunes as Inspiring Women’s Voices, alongside my friend Amy Porterfield and some other incredible podcasters.

In this episode of the Off The Charts podcast, I’m thanking you for listening, sharing, and rating our podcast. I know that your time is precious, and I really do appreciate that you take the time to listen each week!

We’re also taking a short break on the podcast because we’re heading into our business Off The Charts Live conference season.

One of our mottos at Nathalie Lussier Media, Inc. is that we prefer to do fewer things better. And sometimes that means slowing down or pausing projects that aren’t a part of our core focus for the time being… and honoring the seasons of our business and life.

If you want more Off The Charts goodness, then make sure to join us at Off The Charts Live – there’s still time and we’d love to have you with us! :)

#104 How To Design Membership Sites That Rock Apr 09, 2015
    Show notes

    Off The Charts Business Podcast

We run a pretty successful membership site… in fact, “what membership site plugin are you using?” is one of the most common questions we get. It’s not surprising, because we designed this membership site plugin ourselves since we couldn’t find the functionality that we were looking for out on the digital shelves.

Now we’ve made our own WordPress and Infusionsoft plugin available, it’s called AccessAlly and you can check it out in action by going to the 30 Day List Building Challenge, for free.

So what makes a rocking membership website? There are a few key things that we’ll cover in this episode of Off The Charts, but the main ones are ease of use and custom design that matches your branding.

I also believe that having just one place for all of your customers to go to access your online courses is key to both happy customers and more sales, too.

#103 What To Do After You Get Home From A Conference To Get The Best ROI Apr 02, 2015
    Show notes

    Off The Charts Business Podcast

Having been organizing the Off The Charts Live event conference for three years now, I thought it would be a good idea to put together some recommendations for making the most of a conference…

You spend a whole lot of time, energy, and money to get yourself to a live event (all worth it, trust me!) but how can you get the best return on your investment?

To me, it all comes down to what you do when you get home.

Of course, you’ll want to go through your notes and decide which things you learned at the conference that you’ll actually implement… but beyond that, there are definitely some things you can do to keep the momentum going strong!

For example, how and when should you reach out to the people you met at the event? And how can you keep these relationships going when you’re no longer hanging out in person?
