Getting to Know Kyle Jan 30, 2023

Show notes

Getting to know people through this podcast is THE best thing about web3 and NFTland. Mark and I had the pleasure of hosting Kyle Nelson, aka KyleATX in Discord, a Proofer, company founder, and all around awesome human being. If you need a wine recommendation, or better yet, a wine and movie pairing, he is the guy to go to. The conversation was so fun, as we talked about not just what Kyle's building and working on, but his take on the overall space, niche marketplaces, AI art, ChatGPT, and much more. This conversation was fantastic and we can't wait for you to listen in.

Getting to Know Marrk... The Medical Episode!!! Jan 09, 2023

Show notes

Simply put, ya gotta get to know Marrk (https://twitter.com/marrk888) -- an amazing human being that was incredibly fun to jam with on the pod. Our topics range from his med school time to cutting open cadavers to help educate the doctors of the future. It was a damn pleasure of an experience and you may just need to jump in the EightBit Discord (https://discord.gg/eightbitme) on Wednesdays at 3 PM EST to get to know him (and Ed) yourself. Ed, as always, is amazing, and I'm just grateful to keep making more friends in this space.
Thank y'all for listening!!!!

Getting to Know Basketball via VesselVerse Jan 02, 2023

Show notes

Wow! Where to start? This episode is brought to you by VesselVerse (https://www.vesselverse.io/vessel), a basketball-themed DAO originated by Victor Solomon (https://twitter.com/victorsolomon), creator of Literally Balling (https://literallyballing.com/) and so much more. His partnerships with the NBA and other major brands are not just epic, but influential. VesselVerse actually funded this episode via a grant round on Prop.House, a website that allows anyone with ideas the ability to submit those ideas for funding. Crowdfunding and grants, in real-time. It's amazing.
So, why an episode of Odds and Ends? First, Ed and Craig love sports! Second, we've already had Victor on an episode and he was amazing. Check that out here: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/odds-and-ends/id1634066201
Because the love of basketball is deeeeep (Magic and 76ers fans here) AND our epic podcast producer is a basketball expert as well, we just had to do a HOOPS episode. So, we invited Jkirby (https://twitter.com/jkirby_eth) and Al (https://twitter.com/7x7x7eth) to join in on the fun. They are also members of VesselVerse, so it all makes sense.
If you're looking for more information on what is going on with VesselVerse, the opening to this episode or the Discord (https://discord.com/invite/J3Zts3dJpQ) is a good place to start!

Getting to Know Shatt and NFT Gaming Dec 26, 2022

Show notes

For those of you within the PROOF community, you already know Shatt, a thoughtful, outspoken, knowledgeable individual, represented online by his robot-themed avatars. Getting to know Shatt has been an absolute treat because his perspectives are unique and have provided new insight into not just NFTs and Web3, but life overall. He's an art enthusiast, gaming expert, and all-around enthusiastic person when it comes to what is going on with digital ownership. This episode spans a ton of subjects, but Shatt got real with us and discussed ADD, Adderall, focus, and so much more.
It truly was one of the most interesting conversations we've had on this epic journey.

Getting to Know AI Art with Ed and Craig Dec 19, 2022

Show notes

The story of Ed and Craig is a tale as old as time. They met in the Discord channels of PROOF, became friends over common interests and experiences in life, and decided to regularly chat (sometimes recorded) and message one another throughout the days and weeks on all topics, from parenting to flipping JPGs and everything in between. This episode is the first in what will likely become a series, where we have a main topic, in this case AI Art, and then just bob and weave accordingly, having fun along the way.
AI technology is incredibly interesting and Ed's artistry with it has been astoundingly beautiful. This episode touches on a lot of subjects beyond AI art, but you'll hear us nerd out on the possibilities, so enjoy!

Getting to Know Emileevee Dec 05, 2022

Show notes

Let's talk about Emileevee (https://twitter.com/emileevee_eth)... an incredibly understanding individual. Why do I say that? Well, she was on a recording session with us months ago and... the audio was mysteriously lost in the ether, pun intended. No one will ever know the alpha nuggets that were in that episode and Emily, myself, and Ed 100% forget what we spoke about, so... we started over. From her transition to full-time in Web3, leading marketing efforts for ZenAcademy (https://twitter.com/ZenAcademy_) and the 333 Club (https://twitter.com/the333club) to our DEEP dives on Running, Coffee, and some of her favorite movies, we are HYPED to finally be able to say... let's get to know Emily!
Need, need, need y'all to visit the 30 days of NFTs (https://30daysofnfts.com/) to sign up for the ZenAcademy daily emails. As you already heard, I LOVE THIS as a way to encourage people to learn about this space in a friendly, approachable way. Just an email a day... I love it and just got my first one! Emily was absolutely amazing to connect with, has a marketing brain that is inspiring, and I'm looking forward to learning more and more from her and everything ZenAcademy. If you dig this episode or any others, leave us a review on your favorite listening platform! We love you for it, in advance. Have a rockin' week!

Getting to Know Jennyfromtheblockchain Nov 28, 2022

Show notes

We've got a trend going at this point, folks. I absolutely love meeting people in this spaceeeee. After watching this person's content on Twitter, Twitch, and YouTube since the beginning of my NFT journey, Jenny from the blockchain (https://twitter.com/jennifer_sutto) is one of the coolest people in web3. In getting to know her, she dove into her NBA Top Shot journey, her incredible sister (should out to Steph), how she got her full-time web3 job; got promoted to Head of Marketing, and continues crushing it with a successful podcast that has reached 100 episodes, and an overall amazing attitude towards this space and life. Just as an FYI, Ed pops in about midway through, since the poor guy got very unlucky with jury duty. Boooooo. Let's get to know Jen!
I love making friends and web3 has been one of the most welcoming experiences of my entire life. Not only am I excited to learn more about evaluate after Jen broke it all down, but I can't wait to live trade an NFT with her! If you're looking to learn more about the space, jam with friends, or figure out if there are ways for you to contribute in this space, visit friendswithjpgs.com -- a site that Ed and I put together to help as many people meet other people as possible! Friendship!!!! Have an incredible week and drop us a review on your favorite listening platform if you have a few moments. Thanks!
