Today's word of the day is 'no merci' or no, thank you or what the MLBPA said to the last proposal from MLB. It was voted down 33-5 and this is what that means. So now reports are out about a 60-game season being handed down by Commissioner Rob Manfred, but FIRST something needs to be done by the players. Here is what that is (0:06). So You Wanna Talk To Samson!? Someone asked me what impact will this labor dispute have on the 2021 negotiations for a CBA (11:10). Dak Prescott signed his franchise-tag and now him and the Cowboys have until July 15th to sign a long-term deal. Will they reach a deal by then? The NWSL is about to be the first team sports league to come back and it already has problems. Orlando Pride have pulled out of the tournament because 6 players and 4 staff members tested positive for covid-19. In more coronavirus news - Novak Djokovic announced that he has tested positive after playing in a much criticized tournament (33:20). Trying to keep up with MLB negotiations is exhausting (6/22) Jun 22, 2020

Today's word of the day is 'abdul' as in Paula Abdul as in every time it seems like MLB takes two steps forward, they take two steps back. It seemed as though a deal was about to be reached and then covid-19 spiked and now things look bad again for the return of sports (0:06). Orlando cases are spiking and that's not great for the NBA bubble at Disney. Rumors are swirling that LeBron James and the Lakers are holding secret practices at a Staples Center replica court. Let's talk about why this is bad for business (15:34). So You Wanna Talk To Samson!? NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace reportedly had a noose put in his garage area at Talladega. It was found by a member of his team. As we await more details to come out on this story let's talk about how racism is still at the forefront of NASCAR (23:25). Coronavirus spike could table any MLB agreement (6/19) Jun 19, 2020

Today's word of the day is 'Juneteenth' and I need to admit I didn't know what it was. So I did some research and I spoke to a lot of people about this. Let's talk through what I learned and how important it is (0:06). You're not going to believe this, but the MLB and MLBPA have released MORE STATEMENTS! We're a broken record here on Nothing Personal because everyday is the same thing between the two (9:00). Five Philadelphia Phillies players and some staffers have tested positive for covid-19 and this is major. Someone asked me about Eugene Melnyk, Ottawa Senators ending relations with the Senators Foundation - an organization I have donated to in the MLBeard Challenge. What do I make of this and from my Montreal and Miami experience, could I please explain the key relationship dynamics between a team and its associated charities/foundations (26:48).
